  1. Salute, This is a really odd bug that has got myself and a keen A10 pilot really stumped. I built a mission using all stock aircraft and triggers except for the inclusion of the Hercules mod. When we try and fly the A10 it is not possible to load the selected weapon load-out into the DSMS. We know it will not work because of the configuration that shows in the left MFD (see attached with red highlight). When we click on STAT to get the LOAD option and then select LOAD followed by LOAD ALL we get the screen with all the red boxes. I wondered if it might be some sort of conflict in my mission (Syria map) so I started to delete elements then test again, same issue. So I removed more elements and tested again, same issue until there was nothing left but the A10 same issue. If I create another mission from fresh using same map, same spawn point it works fine (see below screen shot with yellow highlight) Has anyone had ANYTHING like this before? Any ideas on what might have caused it. I and my squad mate both get the same issue both in multiplayer and single player in the same mission. It has really got us scratching our heads. I do not really want to build my whole mission from scratch just to get the A10 working so any thoughts or ideas would be very much appreciated. DD_Friar Syria_Template_V3.0.miz
  2. @cfrag Ref: heloTroops module Is there anyway that this module could be "tweaked" so that it would be possible to load more than 1 group per flight like the default DCS troop transport can? Cheers Friar
  3. @John Galt Your friend has to own the Huey as well. You do not have to do anything extra in the editor. Are you running a multiplayer mission as well? (obvs) On the slot selection screen he then picks one of the other positions after you are in. You will receive a message asking for permission for him to join. You accept and then he will be placed in that slot. Hope that helps.
  4. @cfrag - Really sorry about this but I have received the below error with the new version. I am just in the process of re-implementing DML into one of my missions and am starting with troop transport. I get the below error when, after loading a group I deploy them to the same place. At the point of hitting "deploy" I get the script error. I clear the error and the troops do still deploy. null null null EDIT: I have found the issue. The parameter test has a spooling tistook - the parameter is captureAndHold, the original script has it as "captureandhold". I changed it to match and it now works. Cheers Friar null

  7. A squad mate suggested it is possibly coming from a beacon? But I too get it and have change the FM frequency in my beloved Apache to stop the noise. Watching a video this morning from "47Driver" (He is an actual current Hook pilot and his videos are very good, he seems to have a lot of respect for the ED model) he mentioned the same issue that can be removed by pulling up the knobs (see below - its at about 6:06 in the video) null
  8. @cfrag I cannot overstate how much I and am sure the rest of your devotees appreciate all the hard work you have obviously put in to produce this release and not only correct the issues but have still found time to add new features. Salute Sir.
  9. Just worked out that to re-install my DCS via floppy disc I would probably need over 340,000 discs.
  10. @ebabil, I took your question to be why is the model we have released different from the one first shown? (seems to be the answer was that it was a based on a different variant/spec in that early trailer) so I sort of take your point, but my point is that the model released seems to be much much better than that early illustration, so I for one don't care that ED have improved it on the development journey and I am sure it will only get better as well.   11. @Diablo 1-1 Apologies, my bad. I am not aware of a discord channel for the Tool Box. I have always got my updates from here when they are posted / released. You will just have to come in here a bit more often, pull up a chair, grab a beer and share your ideas...
  12. You only have to do a bit of looking on YouTube and already there are a number of actual CH-47F pilots / crew saying how good it is to the actual thing.
  13. There are plenty here that are willing to help you @Diablo 1-1, just post what you are stuck with and I am sure someone will be able to assist. You have access the very good user guides that cfrag has put together, both a detailed version and a quick reference version. They are in the Docs folder of the download. A lot of what you need to know is in there. Salute When using the DCS standard functionality for loading and transporting troops, under the "Airborne Troops" option next to Embark there is an option for "Mark" I have not been able to establish what this does. Is anyone able to give me a nudge as to its functionality please? (Apologies if this is in the wrong thread) regards Friar
  15. @Recluse - Was the little drop in a helicopter? That is a known issue and you have to have a script added to the system "hook" folder (nothing to do with with the Ch-47). It helps with the synchronization.
  16. That is the experience I had as well. I too assumed a system component (like .NET) was updated as part of the release.
  17. Salute @cfrag - Please may I ask where we are at with the DML Tool Box and the latest DCS update breaking some of the scripts. At the moment myself and other squad mates (who I have converted to DML) are a bit reluctant to use our missions with the scripts in for fear of them crashing. Have you been able to speak to ED about your Tool Box and its broken functions? Regards Friar

I am sure as mission builders we are all aware of the impact on server / machine performance a mission could have, so as I am currently working on a new scenario for our squad I got to thinking "how big is a big mission"? I am talking in terms of lines of standard DCS triggers, without using scripts of any kind. From what I understand triggers are processed every second (please correct me if I am wrong on this) and I get that the machine that is running the mission will have an impact as well so my question may not even be able to be answered but if you have built a mission without using scripts, what is the most about of trigger lines you have used and found it to run without issue? I have replaced my ownedZones with invisible farps and am using the standard DCS capture rules (which have a hierarchy in case you did not know, capture works if a controlling force has the zone, you do not have to kill ALL enemy units. For example a red zone occupied by troops and you roll blue armor into town you will take the zone without killing the troops.)
  20. @Sinclair_76 - Have you looked at "Counter" (see below rom the user guide) If you used something like Valet to track spawn-ins, that sends a signal to the counter perhaps. or use the trigger method attribute on the clone and set it < numberPlayersSpawned I suspect that cfrag is knee deep in code trying to sort out the mess that the last update did to the DML code. null
  21. I had that with a mod. (UH60L on Syria map) There was a zip file in the skins folder that was not being read. Tweaked it all and now good.

Here, Here hey @Iceviper Perhaps we need to start a petition on cfrags behalf to get him recognized by ED If everyone who uses DML were to either post or message Bignewy(?) saying how important DML is to us and that his toolbox needs consideration. "power to the people"... I for one have had to completely rebuild a mission I was working on without any DML so as not to have any issues on our server.
