  1. Created new thread in 'bugs' section.... cant delete this one however. :(
  2. I checked this link again: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=mirrors&product_sid=Basic_Flight_Procedures_Video_EN&end_pos=133&lang=en .. and the video is still coming up as corrupted. Anyone know a workaround?
  3. I checked this link again: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=mirrors&product_sid=Basic_Flight_Procedures_Video_EN&end_pos=133&lang=en .. and the video is still coming up as corrupted. Anyone know a workaround?
  4. Ahh I forgot about that! Thanks!
  5. I am trying to install the mission I found here: http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/170/ It does not appear to be ModMan compatible and it does not look like any of the other missions I currently have so I have no idea how to install it. Can anyone help?
  6. Thanks guys I'll give him the heads up and he can try what was recommended in those two threads. :)
  7. This is awesome! Yay my training menu works again!
  8. Baal... you're freakin awesome. :)
  9. A friend of mine downloaded and installed the Steam version of Black Shark. He is able to load up the multiplayer interface and jump onto a multiplayer game no problem. But if he tries to enter the single player version the single player interface is just a white screen and none of the buttons are visible. With trial and error he can find a button and have it do what it is supposed to (like click the middle of the screen to find the instant action) but it is a real pain. Has anyone else had this problem and better yet, does anyone know how to fix it?
  10. Yeah I have all those too. :) Just wanted to fix the ingame menu... guess I am a stickler for everything working. ;) I have been using VLC media player when I bought Flaming Cliffs 2. It is handy because it gives you more control of the videos. I guess I was expecting the menu system in Black Shark to allow them to be played ingame (like FC2) and those files were put up on the DCS website relatively recently (in the last month or so) as I check there pretty often. I just thought I had missed an announcement somewhere describing how to enable the videos in the menu system.
  11. As of the latest patch for Black Shark, which makes it compatible online with Flaming Cliffs 2 (among other things) the old traning tracks became invalidated (because they are not recorded videos like for Flaming Cliffs 2) which means they would have to either re-record the tracks (which is painful) or simply do the same thing they did with Flaming Cliffs 2 which is to create videos. Well I was browsing in the files section of DCS and it appears they have created videos! So I downloaded all of them and installed them, then confirmed their installation location, but if I go into the menu of Black Shark and try to watch them it still gives the error message that I would have to roll back my patch of Black Shark. Is there something I should be doing to enable these videos? EDIT: Also, Basic_Flight_Procedures_Video_EN appears to be corrupted. :(
  12. I would recommend the TrackIR over the HOTAS any day of the week. Most stuff with Black Shark I use the mouse with the clickable cockpit anyways. EDIT: Oops just saw the last page here. Guess it depends on what existing joystick you have. I had a MS Sidewinder joystick (needed to twist it for rudder control) and found the TrackIR had more impact to my immersion than when I finally upgraded to a Saitek X-52 Pro. Don't get me wrong... the X-52 made life easier... I just found that I could live without the X-52 but I could not live without the TrackIR. Just my opinion tho.
  13. Thank you! :)
  14. Where is it available for electronic download?
  15. I actually did not use the Saitek software to program the trim. Instead I just mapped the rotaries directly in the simulation. The thing with FC2 is that you have to map this for every aircraft you fly seperately, as each aircraft has a seperate configuration file.
  16. What is your soundcard? Have you updated your driveres for it? What is the operating system of your computer, and is it patched up?
  17. Good question.... I am hoping that it will come with the new A-10C package. :)
  18. Where? Just checked all the sections here (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=13&scr=default&lang=en) and did not see it anywhere. :(
  19. You might also want to check to make sure you dont have another axis assigned to something it should not be. For example by default the CH Pedals X axis (which defines if I am pushing down the left pedal I think) was assigned to roll. You will need to check this for each aircraft that is flyable within FC2, as each aircraft has its own configuration definitions.
  20. Well this is actually part of the question. For deployment is there a specific dive angle and speed I should be using? I figured the pipper would calculate based on my dive angle and speed but perhaps not? Shouldn't the pipper compensate for the delay of the KMGU needing to open up first, meaning this is a bug in the sim?
  21. Yeah but by 'early' I mean football fields early. Feels like the target pipper is off or something. If I switch to standard 500kg bombs they hit on target no problem, but the despensers are more accurate if I just ignore the pipper.
  22. So I load up a bunch of these things (with PTAB's) on my Mig-29 and tried some practise bombing runs on a truck column. I line up the pipper on the first truck and hit the release while maintaining an unchanging angle of dive but it appears every time the little buggers fly right over the target. In fact if I want to hit any of them I have to release very very early. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here?
  23. Yeah it is the weapon pylon numbers. I was tempted to take the graphic from ingame and paste it at the top of the table but then it would not all fit on one page. :)
  24. One thing I noticed going from FC1 to FC2 was the change to the loadout interface. While I think the new interface is much better looking, I am still not used to the Russian based weapons, and would get mixed up what each would do. The old interface would give a small blurb about each weapon, which is missing now. So I put together a small Excel spreadsheet that lists all of the Player usable weapons on the player-flyable aircraft ((Su25T, Su25, Su33, Su27, and Mig-29S), and then has a seperate tab for each aircraft showing what weapons can be mounted on what hardpoint. So now at a glance I can tell you that the Su-33 can carry 10 x FAB-250 bombs but only three types of rocket pods are available for it and it can only carry 4 pods each, and only the Mig-29 can use the S-24B's, of the fighter aircraft. So far I have only the Russian aircraft as I find the American weapons and aircraft are easier to remember. I especially found this chart made it alot easier when I was mission building. In any case I have attached that file to this thread in case anyone else might find it useful. :) Cheers, 2GvSAP_Chief FC2 Weapons.zip
  25. Works fine with my nVidia 295... just be sure to create the profile for "simulator.exe"
