  1. bump same here, I'm not seeing a way to adjust this yet. I keep going too far left then too far right, never able to designate accurately.
  2. Some interesting tidbits with references: Call of Duty is one of our tests that is not originally enabled for SLI by default. I had to coax it and edit out the single GPU rendering profile within the nvapps.xml. Then I enabled AFR through the control panel. This game is strongly CPU limited on an SLI setup. Even CPU limited @ 4xAA/16xAF at 1600x1200 resolution.. However turning up 8xAA/16xAF really allowed the SLI setup to stretch its legs. Call of Duty played at 8xAA/16xAF @ 1600x1200 resolution with smooth frame rates really is a site to behold. What else can be said? Two Geforce 6800GTS operating in SLI mode provide ample performance with some to spare. I am happily going to be gaming on this rig for sometime to come. There are a few odd circumstances where SLI can fail such as games utilizing render to texture effects such as motion blur or bandwith limited games which are not limited by the GPUS graphic engine. However those issues aside. SLI has scaled exceedingly well and IMO there is no current better Dream Machine than a high end Nvidia SLI rig. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=47710 So...even if LOMAC isn't sli-optimized(or whatever they call it), looks like you can still make sli work for it, and at least crank up your rez and AA settings for free. I still can't find info about sli for simheads like me, just doom and quake stats, guess we are a small, small minority...
  3. I'd like to know as well...my next rig will be a dual cpu with SLI 6800's. Isn't SLI just transparent to any game, though? Stuff like LOMAC shouldn't need anything special, I wouldn't think... I want to see this bad boy with everything maxed and still smooth...whatever it takes.
  4. I second that dedicated server motion. I have a home server that is ready, willing, and able, but instead I must fly and host.
  5. They did for me...yup, just run down there for an hour and run back...hehe
  6. Ya, I'm still holding out hope that this can be circumvented using the 'manual' activation or some other trick. ...but I ain't gonna go wasting my 4 if that ain't the case...hehe...anyone else wanna do the experimenting? ;-)
  7. Are we ok so far with this 1.1 version and these water tiles? Also LOMAN is still ok? I don't want to goof something up if Ruggbutt has caught something with the activations and reinstalling... Looks like a nice water mod.
  8. I'm also glad to see that I don't need any CD in my drive to play, and that starforce doesn't need an internet connection to start the game once it's activated the first time. I could get used to this protection/distribution scheme...not bad from what I can see. Now to learn how to fly the new su-25t, I didn't fly the demo much...
  9. So far smooth as silk. Installed original CD, went right to the 1.1 upgrade, then did the seasons add-on, then ran lomac. The activation popped up, I put in my key, it did it's check and said I had 4 activations left, then lomac came up just fine. Frame rate is about the same, I noticed that flares are very effective at spoofing heaters... Ok, back in for more configuring and flying...thanks ED...nice.
  10. Yes, I think so...I paid for mine, then logged in with my home server to do the download, so the info about your payment status gets saved in your website account. That's also where the key is shown...on the downloads page.
  11. Ugh...trying to get the keymapping and control panel configured using babelfish doesn't sound like fun to me...heeheee
  12. I'm just anxious to play 'crush the ED servers'... :)
  13. Yup, i'll buy the download the day it's released. First thing I'm gonna do is hop in the new frog, crank up the weather, and do some pattern work.
  14. darn...I was half hoping I had missed something on the near horizon that involved carrier landings...dammit....heheh thx
  15. What is this, Super Hornet 3? I can find nothing on google... Was there a Super Hornet 2? From Digital Interactive?
  16. Oh yeah, that reminds me... I need to call the glass guy to fix the door she broke during a tantrum...
  17. I wasn't one of the bitchers, I was going to take the StarForce risk with my gaming rig after doing the research on SF, but I have to say that I'm very impressed that they listened and are taking the extra time to get into a less invasive protection. (also the bug squashing thing) Very nice, SF is pretty drastic stuff and I'm happy that something else is being considered. Visa is armed and safety is off. :D
  18. Here's the latest I can find on this from StarForce. http://www.star-force.com/index.phtml?id=606&type=5&add=1&category=200
