I agree with this, it seems a little too dark compared to what i would expect but it could be that this was just the case with the phantom. There is a mod that you can use on the user files page that passes ic to make some of the skins you would like have clear front glass. -

Fair enough, I'm going to give it another shot with night vision on and see what I can accomplish. Now on mission 11 and I must say this is one of the best campaigns I've done. Very much enjoying it and surprisingly pulling off consistent 80% successes my first time through which feels pretty good. Good work and look forward too whatever you have coming in the future, especially for the Phabulous Phantom! -
So i just got to mission 7 and tried it and i am unsure if i am missing something or maybe i am expected to do something other that what i am. The mission takes place at night and you are not given night vision. I suppose i could equip it but i just figured maybe the point was to not have it. My issue is the pave spike is a TV only pod so it sees all of nothing at night. I also can see all of nothing at night. The target is not lit at all either. So i suppose my question is how am i supposed to find the target and strike it if its not lit and the pod can not see anything at all?

I wouldn't be opposed to flying with you and doing some training. I very exclusively try to fly the phantom so i am pretty proficient with the aircraft. I am Moosemermaid on discord. Hit me up and i can get a feel for where you are at currently and what youd like to learn/focus on.

Notice while on through the inferno Afghanistan last night that the reaper drones laser pointer was visible as a big white line in the mirrors. Really not a big deal but figures id point it out. Sorry I didn't get a trac of it. -
I know that the new engine sounds were removed at the last update due to a bug that was present (I personally never experienced it). Will they be added back soon or possibly at the next update? Really loved the new sounds and were making for some good videos. Don't want to potentially have two different audios in the same video lol.

It still says that they do development for DCS at the bottom of the main page under the about. Seems like a lot of hysteria to me. -
Despite what is happening, the jet is very effective in its current state and very fun to fly. Its actually one of the only jets I fly currently besides the F4E. I Really hope progress is made between ED and Razbam because it has so much potential to be the most badass piece of hardware in DCS. However, if it stayed the way it is and it just was kept functional I would still fly it.

I have a small question that @NineLine may or may not be willing to answer. In the event a conflict between ED and a third party developer could not be resolved; could the license and development be handed off to another, obviously willing, third party developer or be taken over by ED themselves? -
Just wanted to make a quick not of this, I had Jester dialog get stuck in a loop of giving tanker boom direction. I also noted that I think the tanker failed to tell me that my refuel was complete. I do not have a track and it was on a MP server but maybe its worth describing the parameters. I was tanking and had a couple fall offs and had to reset and hop back on the boom. I noticed that it seemed the gauge hadn't moved in a while and my tank full lights still hadn't illuminated. I know the gauges don't show tank amounts so I stayed on for a while longer but never lit up. Worth noting, i had the tank switch set to my centerline tank and it was on the jet for the duration of the refuel so I'm not sure if not having that off would cause the issue. I used the AAR disconnect button and then also called abort refuel just to be sure. after jester kept repeating the same boom calls over and over again until landed and shut down. Silencing him through the UI did at least work. I may try to force a replication tonight to see if im dumb or if there is a bug i can replicate with a track but its really not a huge deal. The jet has been an absolute joy to fly and the bugs are extremely minor and the types id expect from a new release. You guys have done something very special and I would like to say thank you!

Cycling refueling door after disconnect

This is correct behavior. Diesel thunder did a video about the fuel system and touched on this. It is due to the system locking out when a sudden disconnect happens so it has to be reset in order to resume flow.- 1 reply

For anyone having this issue, I was on the A4E Discord last night and this is a common issue and seems to be on ED side. After some testing last night, out of about 30 shrikes launched in an isolated test mission between 2 aircraft, we had 1 track. Hopefully this will get fixed soon. I do have a post open in weapon bugs report currently. Maybe @BIGNEWY will see this as well. -

I never tried them before the F4 so I will uninstall the F4 when I get home and see if that fixes it. -

So first question is ive tried both, waiting until i am locked and even launched on and also preemptively launching. Second question, ive tried both very close (within 2-3 miles) and far (around 10-12 miles). Nothing seems to make a difference. Im starting too think its some sort of file problem on my end but as far as mods go i only have the A-4E mod, VSN standalone F-4, uh-60L and hercules. I am not using any weapon mods or tech mods. -

I am having an issue with the shrike when using the A-4E and the F-4C mods. I've tried a few different radars including the SA6, SA2, SA11, Gun Dish and Fire Can and I've tried both a custom mission and tried using them in MP servers. When I fire them, weather it be with a good tone or just toward an active radar, they don't track at all. They come off the rail and just fly in a mild downward arc into the ground. I loaded in an AI F4 with a shrike and it fires and tracks to a Fire Can just fine. I also haven't seen anyone post about this as far as all the people that use the weapon with the Skyhawk on ECW so I think this is somehow isolated to me. I know the hit rate is poor but that isn't what is happening. There is just no attempt to track at all. I'm just looking for some advice on weather I am just dumb and doing something wrong or where I should look too attempt a fix. In the A4i have the pilons selected with master arm on and i have a good base tone and I am getting a change in tone. Nothing makes a difference. Thank you for any help you all might have with this. -

STOP TRYING TO TURN THE E INTO A DOGFIGHTER! But seriously, I dont know how many times I need to say this. If you want C performance, just fly the C model. Its in the game. Or if you want to drop bombs and then go to the merge and dominate your opponents, learn the Viper. -
Multiplayer Communication menu not working in F15-E ?

So over the weekend I noticed that it did this when I decided to change liveries while taxing so i changed liveries and requested the rearm on the move. After this the comm menu was bugged like we've stated. Haven't had time to test to see if this consistently bugs it or not but may be at least one trigger.- 14 replies

Yep i have also had this same issue. It also seems that it can be spawn to spawn because ive had it both work and not on the same multiplayer server in the same day. I did not know about the direct command work around. Thanks!- 14 replies

Unfortunately that is not enough to counter the increased weight and the increased aerodynamic drag caused by the cfts. If you want to run cap and sling missiles at mach 2+ just fly the c model. otherwise the E model even with its metaphorical ball and chain is a force to be reckoned with in the BVR arena.
