First off, that's a flawed assumption, VR let's you see the cockpit in 3d as any Flightsim player desired since 1985 It does exactly as advertised But you are asking for a way to translate movement in VR to RL without any trouble This is only possible if things are 1:1 What do you suggest, apart from modular button boxes that can easily be reconfigured to the module your playing? (still have to be 1:1 though) I gave you an example of not being satisfied with the Status Quo, and that's the Warthog Project Which is built without VR in mind, but very much applicable, but already way beyond $10K in peripherals,... and as DIY has a s a lot of savings on labor You want your cake and eat it too Pancake: Monitor Beer Goggles: VR Headset

I'm pretty sure you are not looking in the right places 4:43 You know you can search keybinds in this pulldown menu?:
-
The only way to translate IRL<->VR, is get a 1:1 cockpit, see the Warthog Project to know how much that costs Or make IRL VR by something as Pointclick, where you simulate manipulating buttons and switches You want the square peg to fit the round hole Even Pancake players have to get used to peripherals, put a player in a dogfight with a fresh button box with key functions and he WILL screw up Hardware + VR =

What's not happening? I got my VFX on a Rhino, so why shouldn't it work on a Virpil FFB base?

Last of the V8 intercept,... uhm VFX grips
Nightdare replied to Nightdare's topic in VIRPIL Controls
Will probably work fine with any module that doesn't need 40 fingers on the stick -
Which module(s)?

Yeah, was under the same impression ...guess they had some parts left Let's just hope they didn't pull things out of the reject bin to complete grips Since I kinda saw this coming and I love mine, I decided to jump on this last chance, as I already have a twist VFX, but never use that feature, got 1 without -

You're confusing Virpil (VPC) with VKB Their linear throttle was teased, what? ...a decade ago?

Laden or unladen Sparrowhawk?

If it's FFB that's enough space for actuators It certainly is more for the somewhat more 'dedicated' simpits, I myself made 50cm+ USB button panels

@Raven (Elysian Angel) It does get a lot smoother over time, mine flows freely when I slowly move the rudder, where the moment I apply force, friction gets applied
-
If that's done so quickly, it doesn't sound so special, but them "special order" doesn't say much, I once "special ordered" a tremolo but it was only special because it was a low turnover item that wouldn't be refundable

I still got a W11 key ready and waiting, but unusable as long as my G2 works, so I got my eyes on this now

RX 9060 XT 16Gb: Good enough for 30-40fps in vr? Budget vr.
Nightdare replied to AngleOff66's topic in Virtual Reality
I managed to run my HP G2 (90hz) at those FPS consistently on most MP maps with 13600K, 3060ti, 64 Gb ram PD somewhere at 1.3, using Open XR, Turbo on. no reprojection, some downsampling and foveated rendering, DCS eyecandy settings roughly at half Fidelity still being very decent, though clear visual identification in warbirds was only possible at closer range than I found practical Mind you, this was prior to me having chopper modules, where ground detail was less required, so I never really taxed the system for that -
Gentlemen, does anyone know where I can find a complete keybind .lua for the tomcat? (and I mean a lua that has all missing functions, not the location of the file on my harddrive)

I'd sooner think the cost for Motion rigs is rather ...prohibitive, for a hobby that can get already rather expensive pretty quick
