  1. Fuzzy dice to hang from the mirror
  2. @Raven (Elysian Angel) It does get a lot smoother over time, mine flows freely when I slowly move the rudder, where the moment I apply force, friction gets applied
  3. If that's done so quickly, it doesn't sound so special, but them "special order" doesn't say much, I once "special ordered" a tremolo but it was only special because it was a low turnover item that wouldn't be refundable
  4. I still got a W11 key ready and waiting, but unusable as long as my G2 works, so I got my eyes on this now
  5. If money was no object,... VR More immersion, less real estate and probably cheaper than 180 degrees of HQ monitors while having full spherical view
  6. Yeah, at my job they installed pretty beefy electromotors in frames for assembly machines in 2020 if any flex it's usually due to the connectors/tions suffering from leverage forces on the frame, not the profiles themselves
  7. I managed to run my HP G2 (90hz) at those FPS consistently on most MP maps with 13600K, 3060ti, 64 Gb ram PD somewhere at 1.3, using Open XR, Turbo on. no reprojection, some downsampling and foveated rendering, DCS eyecandy settings roughly at half Fidelity still being very decent, though clear visual identification in warbirds was only possible at closer range than I found practical Mind you, this was prior to me having chopper modules, where ground detail was less required, so I never really taxed the system for that
  8. Gentlemen, does anyone know where I can find a complete keybind .lua for the tomcat? (and I mean a lua that has all missing functions, not the location of the file on my harddrive)
  9. if possible, see if an older driver (Pre-50x0) may alleviate some issues
  10. I'd sooner think the cost for Motion rigs is rather ...prohibitive, for a hobby that can get already rather expensive pretty quick
  11. Agree with Steve on that Basically, the 50x0 is a(nother) promotion of their AI, not an actual evolution of their GPU's
  12. Since it won't accept VPC/TM grips, nor is known if they will support them (at the very least need a discontinued WW adapter) I will not be 'waiting' for their offering (These things proportions also seem to be a little less practical for pit building)
  13. Tried a Bodnar board? https://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=180&zenid=eda9358b6d8e5b4cc885d8003135928f The smaller one might even suffice for what you wish to set up: https://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=204&zenid=477f6e235b8e167bf85f03fcc00bddc0 They're pretty KISS and have a very simple bit of software to append buttons/encoders etc
  14. Not a valid excuse when receiving that amount of money to not look for an approved PSU, and if it's about liability also shows a lack of faith in one's own product
  15. I think it's rather insulting to charge such an amount and then still require your customers to source their own $40 power supply
  16. It works perfectly for the covered APU in my Apache, Asym limiter in my F-14 and starter switch for my Huey, though I must admit I'm spoiled for options with an added Orion 2 and DIY button panel
  17. No, you can use the unit as 4x32 in DCS as well BUT (IIRC) you'll see 4 almost identically named WinWing devices in DCS keybind manage, yet they use a 'different' parts of the hardware unit, good luck finding out which is which If you decide to change it from 128 to 4x32 (or vice versa) You'll have to reprogram the keybinds for all 4 'devices' separately, you cannot reuse the 128 button keybind .Lua ...I believe you can use a background program like Vjoy to configure 128 buttons to 4x32 for BMS/4x32 to 128 buttons for DCS, so you wouldn't need to switch in SimApp
  18. The f-16 has a very short stick in the first place so of course adding an extension wreaks havoc on any FBW attempt
  19. Virpil has an apache grip available: https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-dual-sf-collective-grip.html
  20. I grabbed a hand saw and a file
  21. Well, got the ARC in and installed Marvelous little piece of kit, the 'real' test function of the LCD screen is a fun detail If code was available this could also be used for the A10 ARC-164, since that is almost equal in function/display, but button layout, ...then again, I'm in VR so for me, a display is already candles on the cake.
  22. Apart from the 2060 "super"'s every other 'super' was an EOL release
  23. Aren't the supers merely blowout stock of slightly 'off' GPU silicone at end of life?
  24. Got @Szketya95 's ARC-159 in. Did some necessary rearranging, managed to salvage most of my "AFCS" panel, and place it on the 'correct' side of the 'console', made a 1-piece plate for the right side with a cutout for the ACR. Had just enough room to not only squeeze my "Target Designate Switch" on the baseplate between the Virpil and Arc, but also a small gap between the left and right baseplate allowed me to route the wires there without having to drill through the plate. The VKB SEM, for the moment, will remain a placeholder for functions I'll eventually incorporate with switches and buttons into the console, as is, I got 21 terminals still available on the Bodnar for that. Now time to get the ARC communicating with the game.
  25. Something similar for me, got some NACA vents added by a Mig 21 Managed a maneuver kill after Jester bailed out, leaving me flying a convulsing convertible Turkey on physical compass because hud and screens were dead, luckily gear and hook worked, but going for the trap was like driving a car with a front wheel missing
