  1. Set up a curve, or if it's for a moving cursor that doesn't need recenter like in some MFD's, you can probably use just a portion of the axis and cut off well before max. value
  2. Had similar issues when several peripherals were bound to the same axis
  3. I believe I just read page after page of arguing the insanity of the meaning of MSRP ...which -unless I'm suffering from the Mandela effect, when i was young, actual sales price was always below it, giving a false idea in advertisement that outlets were actually giving people deals Also, manufacturers' prices -if sold directly, always were the highest, to not compete in their own market with their partners and importers
  4. You know boys, instead of beating each other over the head with what we all can agree is basic (ab)use of market capitalism How about we go back to the regular programming that these new 50x0 cards aren't as big positive developments for actual performance, power consumption and price 3 things that we can all agree on, were major issues for the previous gen Truth of the matter is that the newest top performing card can still not handle RT, not without faking it, not without using less (or even equal) power, not even at an equal price 4 generations of RTX, still 200% short of basic performance, where the even more advanced AI isn't used to boost the tech, but disguise its failings to even larger degree than the previous gens
  5. Hio JF What will the physical dimensions be?
  6. ...But does it support virpil analogue brake levers yet?
  7. Isn't the X56 a Logitech product now? Since both are on the fritz, I'm not suspecting broken wires (though interference of those might throw the HID out of whack), of course being Saitek, I wouldn't be surprised both failed at the same time Have you tried different replugging (to different) USB ports?
  8. The 4090 can't handle much more than the Quest-level of VR headsets anyway At least with that price/performance bracket, you can set things mostly at full fidelity
  9. I speak from experience that Murphy's law is most definitely a thing I have had orders where mistakes were made on every level of a sale Best example I ever faced: From the customer ordering, to the administration losing the order, the pickers picking the wrong item, the forwarder delivering to the wrong address, the customer sending back a different item than the wrong one, the item getting lost in returns, sending back the correct item being wrong because the wrong item was returned by the customer, sending the correct, correct item, only to hear back the customer ordered the wrong item in the first place and the item we send after the wrong item returned, but was the wrong item, ended up being the correct item in the first place, ... but was already on its way to be returned and in the end there was a mistake in the invoice, which luckily wasn't my dept.'s problem ...yeah, I kid you not
  10. You buy them directly from their sites
  11. That it's not really an upgrade 'compared to previous' But the Current 4080 super is doing fine in benchmarks compared to the 1/3rd Wider Bus, 1/3rd Bigger Memory XTX7900 (even keeping its superior RT out of the picture) From above example, the 6X, seems to measure itself fine with wide/more regular GDDR6 GDDR7 being about twice the speed, a 'limited' bus/mem size might not be such an obstacle as may be perceived Same here, that lower clock may not be such an impediment as perceived without a good comparison between the tech and machine code used for the newer card
  12. That shot is almost a painting
  13. Odd, since I consider their latter throttle offerings being more about esthetics than actual function compared to Real World applications
  14. They got several $100 between the 5080 and 5090 they can fill with 5080 Ultra/GTS/LE/TI/XL/SE/Super/Pro's
  15. "We at Nvidia just added 3 liters of water to your beer, now you have more beer to drink"
  16. There is a topic about someone 3-printing new WW grip mounts after his cracked, you might be able to modify the design for length Also, looking down the arms, the baseplates have a "2 offset plates sandwiched onto each other" form, you might get away with bolting 2 plates together for the same general form I really don't think MDF is the way to go, and you'd be better off finding some harder plastics to work with
  17. If you have the possibility to make your own extended mounting plates, you're halfway there (But you better make them tough, either high quality 3d print or CNC aluminum) The connectors would need to be extended and IIRC are different from MiniDIN (4-pin I believe), another pitfall is if you want fingerlifts, then you're going to have to rework the mechanism and detent for increased applied force and height, as well
  18. Claiming they were getting around to it 'if only this dispute hadn't arisen" is a non-verifiable statement, who said they were going to, if the dispute did not occur? They were not fixing these issues the past 4 years it went out of EA, were they?
  19. Very aptly described
  20. 100% agree with this (I happen to have bought both my Oculus and Reverb as B-stock items at the time) High end headsets absolutely need the highest end horsepower (IOW 4090 or upcoming upper 50x0)
  21. Seems to me you set your friction very light I have mine at a light resistance that takes no real force to move, but enough so it doesn't drop by itself, perhaps yours still needs to 'break in'? Fingerlifts are an absolute Plus, no guessing where the AB starts and the dead zone behind the idle point can actually be used for engine off As for 'aftermarket/3rd party fingerlifts',.. none available
  22. Not having any problems with my setup, set everything at full except what I considered not worth the effort, switched on DLSS Quality, done More of a struggle is there with minimum requirements, but 1: That's always the case at minimum and 2: Even there you'll reach a certain equilibrium, once you found the sweet spot for best settings A decent 43-49" monitor is easily the price of a VR headset and running at their best resolution and refresh is gonna need a decent GPU for such a monitor as well, so monetary-wise that's not a discussion What is the discussion if you'd trade in some fidelity for a whole lot of immersion And when I strapped on an Oculus Rift 1 with my RTX970 and jumped with it into a flight sim for the first time, I knew monitors weren't going to be a big part of my PC budget anymore (The relief on my neck dropping the the unnatural movement of Track IR was another plus)
  23. Moved, I now plan Logistics Household goods/Kitchen accessoires EU rules allow a maximum of 32 kg (Express services allow even more), now you should lift those with 2 people, but that doesn't get the job done quicker when you have more work than time until pickup
  24. Yes and no I have nothing against more modules, this is of course the method to make money, but I do hope finishing development of 1 doesn't get supplanted by "New puppy syndrome" for the next (I know a certain space sim which chronically suffers from this ailment)
  25. Not having a different viewing glass on my Tomcat won't make me enjoy it less
