There is a topic about someone 3-printing new WW grip mounts after his cracked, you might be able to modify the design for length Also, looking down the arms, the baseplates have a "2 offset plates sandwiched onto each other" form, you might get away with bolting 2 plates together for the same general form I really don't think MDF is the way to go, and you'd be better off finding some harder plastics to work with
-
If you have the possibility to make your own extended mounting plates, you're halfway there (But you better make them tough, either high quality 3d print or CNC aluminum) The connectors would need to be extended and IIRC are different from MiniDIN (4-pin I believe), another pitfall is if you want fingerlifts, then you're going to have to rework the mechanism and detent for increased applied force and height, as well

Claiming they were getting around to it 'if only this dispute hadn't arisen" is a non-verifiable statement, who said they were going to, if the dispute did not occur? They were not fixing these issues the past 4 years it went out of EA, were they?

Very aptly described

Are large monitors still relevant?
Nightdare replied to MJY65's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
100% agree with this (I happen to have bought both my Oculus and Reverb as B-stock items at the time) High end headsets absolutely need the highest end horsepower (IOW 4090 or upcoming upper 50x0) -
Seems to me you set your friction very light I have mine at a light resistance that takes no real force to move, but enough so it doesn't drop by itself, perhaps yours still needs to 'break in'? Fingerlifts are an absolute Plus, no guessing where the AB starts and the dead zone behind the idle point can actually be used for engine off As for 'aftermarket/3rd party fingerlifts',.. none available

Not having any problems with my setup, set everything at full except what I considered not worth the effort, switched on DLSS Quality, done More of a struggle is there with minimum requirements, but 1: That's always the case at minimum and 2: Even there you'll reach a certain equilibrium, once you found the sweet spot for best settings A decent 43-49" monitor is easily the price of a VR headset and running at their best resolution and refresh is gonna need a decent GPU for such a monitor as well, so monetary-wise that's not a discussion What is the discussion if you'd trade in some fidelity for a whole lot of immersion And when I strapped on an Oculus Rift 1 with my RTX970 and jumped with it into a flight sim for the first time, I knew monitors weren't going to be a big part of my PC budget anymore (The relief on my neck dropping the the unnatural movement of Track IR was another plus) -
Moved, I now plan Logistics Household goods/Kitchen accessoires EU rules allow a maximum of 32 kg (Express services allow even more), now you should lift those with 2 people, but that doesn't get the job done quicker when you have more work than time until pickup
-
Yes and no I have nothing against more modules, this is of course the method to make money, but I do hope finishing development of 1 doesn't get supplanted by "New puppy syndrome" for the next (I know a certain space sim which chronically suffers from this ailment)

Not having a different viewing glass on my Tomcat won't make me enjoy it less

Who are you, and why should we take your opinion seriously when it seems all you did was register here to make Virpil look bad For your 1 warning and more specifically, your 1 post, there are 100's of positive dealings with Virpil

I'm not talking about Blackouts, I'm talking about the apparently extreme force needed to maneuver the real M2000 when things get hairy This is not about expecting FFB to supply the actual force needed to move a stick, this is about 40kg stick force being unmanageable in real life situations
-
This image doesn't show any actual values, nor do we have any indication 'normal' control on the M2000 is 240N Moving 40kg with 1 arm isn't easy (I should know, been hauling 30kg parcels for over a decade and that was with 2 arms) Pilots are trained well, but no powerlifters And with 400N stick force, flying an M2000 in a dogfight would be the same as me in a 200m dash:, I might be surprisingly quick for a 30-year smoker, but a useless pile once over the finish line
-
Then that has got to be the lousiest fly by wire system ever put on an aircraft

170 days? Damned modern mechanics don't learn anything today, back in my day we'd get everything back up and running in 15 minutes with duct tape, a hammer and copious amount of profanity Regardless if this was a toaster or an attack helicopter, I mean, they're not 'that' different once you start pounding

Front canopy still looks pretty bad when the rain really hits, but you also see the director moved to the side of the launch rail, most probably for better visibility (unfortunately, our DCS directors aren't nearly as precise as the real guys anyway)
-
I always wondered why they never made an A1-Z99 type setup, it's how the comms menu works and keeps things in logical order (can still be graphically nice) Easier for programming keybinds as well I must admit, the pie menu for VR isn't 'all that' anyway, when it comes to movement, rather have a "book index" with simple up and down view because opening Jester with your head not centered, having to 'aim the pie slice' in the same direction you are looking, can go beyond the position you can move your head Would help if the target line follows the head movement (so when looking left, the 'sight' already has the line on the left pie slice and so for every direction)
-
Though I occasionally have a blackout (usually on the left 2 catapults) at launch, but it never gave me any problems as it dissipates before clearing the deck
-
Keep in mind that curves will not increase the speed of movement, that's dictated by the flight model, it will only change the character/feel of the throw of the physical stick 1:1 should give a clear indication what the rate is for the aircraft itself, want to roll faster, throw the stick fully sideways faster and it will roll as fast as the aircraft allows

Well, @Ghostrider142's screenshot is out the side canopy, from the front it's even worse Trying to line up for the cat from inside the cockpit is an exercise in futility, the track is impossible to see, and the instructor has no recognizable features
-
Agree, the WW TM conversion doesn't seem to have did numbers to justify continued sales
-
I'd say since Winwing recommends sole USB-device updates, having the ability to switch off any other peripherals is a definite pro

Which of these parts would you upgrade first?

So,... care to explain how I had fluid frames with my 3060ti/13600k? -

Is the PCIe set at the right speed in bios? and a thing in personal experience after installing my 4080s: My riser cable was not perfectly connected, which knocked down slot-speed to 1x Have you tried a few benches to see if this issue is repeatable in other environments than DCS?
