  1. Managed the setting to scure FPS ~50-55... looks great other than ghosting which I wish MT stable version might solve someday. But the latency seems pretty high ~50-70ms via VD -ultra mode -H.264 -no ASW/buffer, even each of "game" "encoding" "decoding" "networking" all close or under 10ms. Yes wireless via dedicated band @stable 1200Mbps as it's so conveniance v.s. USB tethering. I know it would be pefect if latency less than 20ms for VR experince. Wonder what's acceptable latency for smooth flight, before it's too laggy to enjoy. Appreciate if anyone should share your experince on this. Currently using Pico4 which works good for me comparing with Rift S. Definitely is still looking for next gen PCVRset w/ DP connection so this topic won't bother me any more.
  2. That‘s not a wrong statement if comparing with any simulations with real thing. But $2000+ is really beyond most of serious players' budget. To me, wish something about $1000 w/ pancake and 4K per eye + DP connection. Wonder who made the decision with spec of Quest Pro... the resolution is not a high end product released in 2022! hahaha.
  3. I thought wireless connection for VD could not deliver decent clarity of DCS image at all. But it looks great, after I replaced dual-band router with tri-band and assign one of 5Ghz bands to VR dedicatedly. I won't bother with tethering any more. If Quest 3 or Pico 5 could support native DP tethering w/ higher resolution, I would pay $1000.
  4. Was waiting for Crystal while it's delayed way too long. And Aero is way too expensive and out of my budget. After saw many positive feedback on Pico4, decided to get one to replace my Rift S which I have been using since it's launched in early 2019. Doughted it as lack of DP output while it 's proven so much better than Rift S (probabally the benchmark is too low ). Plus it's so cheap given the decent spec w/ pancake. Great deal for now, until a new next gen PCVR become available.
  5. Here you go. \\Home English General Off-Topic Discussion PC Hardware and Related Software Input Devices Virtual Reality null Just realized it's moved to somewhere else. Believe VR general topic deserves a better spot.
  6. Hi VirusAM, I have similar system with yours and also just upgraded from Rift S to Pico4. It runs pretty smooth now after I changed router from dual-band to tri-band Wifi6. It might be not the identical case to you. But should worth you to consider the lag issue might be caused by network since you 've tried so many options. Tether via type C should be the best, while it's a bit tricky to set it up with VD. You might have one from Amazon to try it and could return if it won't solve your problem. If you have chance to try it, you should assign one band (one of 5G, or 6G) dedicated for headset only. It's so great to wear headset without tethering meanwhile keeping wireless connection about 1200mpbs. BTW I am using Ultra/H.264 w/o buffer/SSW. Also tried Godlike, still works fine. Good lucky and hope you could enjoy your new headset eventually. Pico4 has much better clarity v.s. Rift S and ... it's so damn cheap. Believe it would be proven just config trick for you.
