  1. hahaha, yes. As long as a man noticed something truely attractive, it‘s just matter of time... Waiting for your great news! 6 dof is worth the money and I have no regret after a year. BTW, thanks for reminding. I will look at pedals how to adjust to make it more comfortable. In this position, it 's easy getting tired with both feet.
  2. In short: I thought I would get tired with this expensive toy after a few weeks before re-sell it, which exactly my wife bet so a year ago. Well, didn't expect still love to use it after one year instead of leaving into dust. Started with VR VR & motion simulator is just like bread & butter. I won't flight again without VR & motion simulator. After all, flight or racing is all about immersiveness. And it remains true after 1 yr of use, as I thought I might be tired soon after a few weeks Started VR journey in 2018 w/ a second hand Rift CV1. Those 3 sensors are really headache for calibration and cable layout in living room. Then bought Rift S as soon as it's released in early 2019. Love inside-out solution and never be complained by my wife on complex sensor and cables. And didn't expect that was the last gen of main stream PCVR. All-in-one is totally setback to me. Enjoy the best image quality which could possibly be squeezed out from latest PC hardware. So I got virtual reality. What about a physical cockpit? Stepped into fancy static simulation shair... well, it became "preamble" to next big thing Envy those built their own 1:1 jet cockpit at home without being "fired" by wife. No guts for that. Then eyes on affordable "cockpit" chair so I could sit in with HOTAS mounted for a bit more immersiveness. Handed on a flight simulation chair of GT lite from Next Level Racing. It's nothing more than a foldable chair with HOTA mount. Quality is decent and felt quite convenient to have everything mounted. So I could just sit in and enjoy flight in font of a 85" flat TV. When family needs some spare in living room, the chair could be folded quite easily and put into corner and kept as low profile. Very soon. I realized there are some dream motion simulation equipments available in the market, which had existed only in professional aviation or entertainment industry before. From 2dof, 3dof, 4dof to ultimate 6dof, seems mainly 2 type of platform, and both types are bulky for home. Then I saw this video from Youtube...landing/taking off from a carrier. It's poison! Dream toy to own! It looks relatively neat for home comparing some other 6dof system I 've seen. OK. That's my baby! Bought from a local guy...not even unboxed and I saved all shipping/duty. Dream deal for me! Also needed to put a convincing story to wife with a comprehensive plan... Assembly is not even close to build a set of IKEA furniture. Took me 2 days + 2 nights on my own. I believe anyone could do that in a few hours...after he/she 'd practised with 6 sets or more. And I made all mistakes that could happen. Also made some DIY to replace those 3 gas spring which were designed for big guy upto 200 pounds to eliminate the jittering during movement. After all those, welcome to "real" flight! Put on VR headset, I don't feel and motion range or angle restricted significantly as the brain is easy to be cheated when you visual movement + true movement/speed, and brain would compensate the rest. Flight sim is a life time hobby not like some fading with time. Each time I "decided to onboard", just hop into the motion seat, buckle up! Surprise It's made in UKRAINE...believe prior the war. Wish staff stays safe there.
  3. Can I ask which hotplug to be set to off? Though I don't have stuttering issue with MT, still would like to see if it's benefitial in more ways.
  4. Your method also helpped me. Thank you for sharing.
  5. @Hillman Thanks a lot. That 's helpful. And any idea how to put your command into .bat? Seems not working in .bat which I am using.
  6. I just enable both EXPO and PBO. Simple for AMD CPU. 4090 to reach 120fps with max out everything sounds incrediably good. My 3090 only could get me to 70-90fps w/ ASW on and selective settings to high. Without ASW on, would be ~45.
  7. Mine is 3090. Saw a decent boost. So assume you should see at least not negative change.
  8. Yes, MT should give a boost instead of drag by all means. So only assume some setting or unnecessary overlay other than OpenXR caused the cap you experienced. Anyway you could see if your changes could sustain. Good luck!
  9. 7800X3D on DCS with lastest ASUS stable bios, works great with DCS MT. Smooth like butter without any stuttering issue which I had in ST version. And using air cooling only as this CPU is reletively cool during gaming. No trouble with AIO stuff. Wish for 7950X3D... while I mainly use this PC for gaming so it's a bit overkill. Some people was comparing this against Intel gen12/13 . The most of major medias reported it's faster than 13900K in "gaming". And much more advantage in simulation type of games. Maybe it's not the case for DCS. For me, the mother board of AMD could enable me to upgrade CPU in 3+ yrs away while intel will abandon me next year. Before 7800X3D, I was using 4790K since 2014 with multiple upgrades... motherboard is the last thing I would bother to upgrade or I would consider to replace the whole rig. That's only my personal humble opinion. Everyone has his/her own criteria to pull the trigger.
  10. You are welcome. Yes, simple like: 1. switch on VD on PC, 2. put your headset on and also open VD/connect to PC, 3. run .bat... then you are expected to be hanger.
  11. Installed latest stable version and use MT version on VR mode(2D seems OK). Did slow repair already. Issue 1. If ran any SteamVR app and closed, then DCS would start with SteamVR instead of OpenXR and sometimes just crash. Had to manually set "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1\ActiveRuntime" to null. Then DCS would start with OpenXR. Consider: Should DCS MT/ST shall set that registry to null as default of OpenXR, upon start to avoid such potential conflict? Or SteamVR always put itself as priority. Or if any setting could be done on SteamVR to avoid that entry value modified? Issue 2. Loading progress not reflected on headset(only shows "loading" or "reading" without any updated details/steps) while can see it on display as usual in the meantime. Issue 3. Image freezing or strangely displayed outside drawing scopoe of any loading image instead of black.
  12. Any chance to try to start DCS without any toolkit and ensure it's running with runtime of "Oculus"? I got a boost like 20% of fps gain by switching from ST to MT and no stuttering at all now. Of coz it might differ from each person's HW or config
  13. My pleasure. I am also learning from others who paved the road for us. About regedit, that value was changed everytime I ran a SteamVR game (like BeatSober or Alyx). So I have to change it back before running DCS. Any clue how to solve it? Also there are 2 other issues besides above one I have with Pico4 via PD on MT as below. Wonder if any pico user experinced same to share solutions. Issue 3.mild Loading progress not reflected on headset(only shows "loading" without any updated details/steps) while can see it on display as usual in the meantime. Issue 4. mild Image freezing or strangely displayed outside any loading image.
  14. Notice your ask is aged a bit. Anyway, here is my similar crash which solved by Flappie. You may find it useful.
  15. Been a while since you asked. FYI. Mine is 45-60ms w/ Runtime Oculus(OpenXR in nature), and Ultra mode.
  16. Thanks. Yours is better w/o VD. I tried it w/ VD but the extensions won't work in below 2 formats. opt1. "C:\Program Files\Virtual Desktop Streamer\VirtualDesktop.Streamer.exe" "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin-MT\DCS.exe" --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR opt2. "C:\Program Files\Virtual Desktop Streamer\VirtualDesktop.Streamer.exe" "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin-MT\DCS.exe --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR"
  17. FYI. Here is mine. Start DCS MT via VD for pico4. Text file with below content and change extension to ".bat". "C:\Program Files\Virtual Desktop Streamer\VirtualDesktop.Streamer.exe" "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin-MT\DCS.exe"
  18. Looking forward your feedback after received it! I also keep this on my radar. Seems clarity could even beat Aero. And lower your expectation as I heard their driver/software not reliable especially in early stage.
  19. Try this, but I cannot guarantee this works for you. Good luck. 1. Ensure you have Oculus SW installed. No need to open; and set OpenXR on under Experimental; 2. Set “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1\ActiveRuntime" to null. Need to repeat this every time after you opened SteamVR; 3. Create a .bat file to start DCS MT via VD.
  20. Unless there is big difference driven by 3D V-cache in solving stuttering, wonder something has to be wrong with your setting or SW. I am using Oculus(OpenXR) to drive pico4 through MT version. It’s smooth like butter.
  21. Sorry to hear your opposite experince. Hard to believe it's caused by MT itself which shall be designed to remove those performance bottleneck. Hope you could get it solved soon with ED 's help by submitting your bug. BTW I don't use any reprojection. Fps is about 50-90 now with 3090.
  22. You may use it for flight control ... but experince is not on par with your Orion2 at all. When you have a VR headset, it normally comes with controllers. And after I tried DCS/MSFS2020 in VR 3 yrs ago, I never went back to flat screen for serious fly. Coz it likes real flight in cockpit in that way but looking at a piece of glass in front of you even it could be a 85" OLED TV.
  23. Yes, the stable version just released in case you didn't realize! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/stable/2.8.4.39731/ But pls notice that it means ST stable with all improvement since Dec. And MT is still same as preview which you might be using as Beta. So for me, MT preview version today (as part of Stable version release today), is way better than my previous Stable version updated in last Dec.
  24. If you don't have stuttering issue, then you may wait till MT stable released. For me, even this preview version works great for me which solved my biggest problem...constant stuttering in VR mode. Now I could totally immerse myself into visual cockpit withtou distractions.
  25. Agree! Now waiting for ED making this preview to stable (seems still some reliability issue)... AND Vulcan is on horizon as next big milestone.
