Thanks Dragon. I'll post something over there in addition to my FC4 post.

Belsimtek there is a significant need in PvP Cold War (Heat Blur ECW to be precise) for an AIM9 missile more capable than the 9P3 (all aspect), but less capable than the 9P5. Please consider adding the AIM9L to the F5E inventory as soon as practical to increase capability of the F5 in PvP. There is a discussion about this topic if you need more data on the HeatBlur Discord: https://discord.com/channels/1071433028045377637/1257916946343792680 Thank you for your time.

There are places on the planet that are below 0' Mean Sea Level (MSL), you need to be able so search those with a radar (Dead Sea for example). The radar does not stop its elevation search coverage @ 0' MSL, the coverage stops @ its bottom gimbal limit. The radar is telling you it is looking below 0' MSL when it gives you a negative number, and the digit tells you how many thousands of feet below. -9 = 9000 feet below MSL. In the second video you are in 2bar TWS and the elevation balls on the far left side of the Radar B Scope tell you the same thing you see next to the captains bars in RWS. In the 3rd video you are climbing and descending. The radar in RWS searches a space stabilized volume of airspace in front of the aircraft, but its relative to YOUR aircraft not the earth. So when you climb or descend you need to reset your coverage once your maneuvers are complete.
-
FCP (Front Cockpit) F15E aircrew quickly center the elevation of the radar in Range While Search (RWS) by using one of 2 techniques. These techniques are a quicker and more lethal way to move the A/A radar elevation (and A/G Radar if you are looking for WX) than just using the EL wheel alone. If you thumb aft on the Weapons select switch to GUNS and then back forward to SRM or MRM the elevation of the radar should center on your current altitude when it returns to RWS. Also if you thumb forward on the Auto Acq switch to boresight (or long range boresight, but that is slower) and flush down on the auto acq the radar should center its elevation on your current altitude when it returns to RWS. RAZBAM please consider fixing this bug, the EL wheel should not be the only way to move the elevation of the radar.

One of the most critical air to air radar capabilities off target or when your SA (Situational Awareness) is low is to clear the airspace in front of you starting right at your feet. GUNS bump acquisition lets you quickly deconflict the automatic acquisition capability of the GUNS A/A radar. if you and your wingman lock the same target in GUNS and you push down on the Auto Acquisition switch (Auto Acq) the radar drops the current lock and locks the next target to the right or further in range (within the space stabilized A/A GUNS volume). If no additional target is found, then it locks up the original target. It cannot be understated how important it is to be able to quickly sort (deconflict) targeting of an enemy 2-ship instead of both you and your wingman locking the same target. RAZBAM please consider fixing this bug or adding this capability to the A/A GUNS auto acquisition functionality. Every Air to Mud driver that just finished dropping their bombs and has to fight thru a 2 ship or more to get home will infinitely thank you for it.

Again, I can't say enough good things about the latest updates to F15E from RB. The implementation of smart weapons, IFF & AA/EID submenus, and the display of that information for each PDT in the bottom left of the B-Scope are a god send. Thank you so much RAZBAM! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I eagerly look forward to Link 16 and JHMCS!!!

Dark Grey all the way. I'll second that GBU28 comment Beirut. 5K lbs of hate is always fun to let loose and definitely makes the bourbon taste better.

Extrange flight behaviour , is this normal?
INDY69 replied to firefox121's topic in Bugs and Problems
If you over-G the jet and bend the wings up, the jet will oscillate left and right in straight and level flight. Its part of the damage model. -
DST that is the most frustrating thing about this module imho. There should be at least 1 consistent method for A/G employment (lvl, dive, or loft in AUTO or CDIP) with non-coordinate dependent weapons. The bombing triangle is very simple to calculate if you know where everything already is in the environment (not true in the real world), especially no wind with a known altitude and airspeed at release. Ah well, patience is a virtue.... hopefully they stop working on liveries and fix this major problem soon.

Is engine restart in the air yet to be implemented?
INDY69 replied to leg5840's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have not gotten airstart to work. Only JFS assisted while airborne. -
Punisher above 430 kts you enter what is called the thumbprint. The G allowable before you overstress the airframe decreases signficantly. With no ordnance loaded, no pods, no bags of gas and over 500kts airspeed you can over-G the jet at 6.5-7 Gs. Always need to be careful and not snatch the stick when you are over 500 bills.
-
Yes I've seen that too. Putting in 8. again while in A/G master mode is a Nav redesignation. There seems to be a problem with the way the module is creating and maintaining designations as well as target release symbology. I have to redesignate with the targeting pod, radar, and Nav several times during some missions to get the azimuth steering to work. And sometimes it is just RTFO like in this pic.

TDC in the jet is progressive and it has a curve. The more pressure you add the faster it moves. If the TDC in DCS is moving too fast for you, and you have it setup as an x and y axis, you can always add a curve to it which will give you finer inputs with less axis deflection. As for making the TDC and elevation move faster like the jet, I'm all for that.

RAZBAM, Here's my wish list of capes for front seat F15E aircrew: 1) Link 16 - Functional with the ability to see wingman radio channels, fuel, weapons states and send mark points 2) TF - Auto coupled Terrain Following functional from NAV pod down to 100' (Not requesting Manual TF) 3) Functional Smart Weapons - JDAMs (GBU38/31v1/3), WCMD (CBU103/105), and GBU28 (not a smart weapon, just a cool LGB cape) 4) Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System - Air to Air and Air to Ground functionality 5) Upgraded Air to Air Weapons - AIM 120C7 / D1 / D3 +AIM9X 6) IC compliant Programmable CMD selectable as MSS vice PFM 7) Auto running EID and NCTR on STT or TWS PDT and keep positive codes in the bottom left of radar B-Scope as you step thru targets AAI/EID submenu ability to select Mode 1 / 2 / 4 and specific codes for Mode 1 & 2 9) IFF submenu ability to select M1 & 2 codes and turn off Mode 3 and C

I have the same issues with Auto and CDIP releases. This picture is after ASL fails in Auto I swap to CDIP.
-
0kts wind. Nav Designation. ASL incorrectly outside HUD while pointed at target. ASL broken and still could not get CBU-97 low alt and medium alt release. With ASL pegged to the side jet will only give TTGT vice TREL thus inhibiting release. Decided to switch to CDIP delivery and the pipper was incorrectly placed. The CDIP pipper went up from velocity vector and was fixed in HUD directly below gun cross. It looked like the CDIP bombing symbology was mixed with CDIP Gun symbology. Look at screenshot. I'm 1.5Gs not negative Gs. I had a couple of releases during this sortie that the ASL was correct, but it eventually failed and was hard to one side. After ASL symbology failure is when I got the CDIP symbology failure.
-
You need to be in a CDIP program. If you setup Program 1 as Auto Step N/T, you will never get to CDIP gun. Step to program 2, or 3 or 4 that you didnt use which should be CDIP by default. Take command of the HUD (FCP Castle in, then Castle forward), then thumb aft on the Auto ACQ switch.

Thank you very much Rainmaker, you are very knowledgeable and helpful. What about the problems with the POD and ICS switches on the left WSO panel aft of the left hand controller? I can program both switches, but they can only be activated with the mouse. I understand they may not yet be functional. Good Hunting, -INDY

I should have clarified PFM vs MSS. In PFM you are correct, but since I dont have a mission planning station, I cant actually program the MSS selection. I assumed RAZBAM would have set MSS up in Manual to give 1 chaff doublet MAN1, and 1 flare MAN2. Confirm that has not been programmed yet? Will there be a way to select just 1 of each CMD in the future?
-
1) POD switch (stby/xmit) can be programmed, but only actuated with mouse 2) ICS switch (stby/auto/man) can be programmed but only actuated with mouse 3) CMD panel with flare selected (chaff/both/flare) and knob in Manual (off/stby/manual/semi/auto) should only give 1 doublet of chaff for Man 1 actuation and 1 flare for Man 2. CMD actuation gives significantly more.
