  1. Dear Beta-Testers am I right that you already flight the Hog? (Because there were Black Shark videos years before the official release there should already exist a beta version). How many hours did some of you spend in testing the black shark? Over the years. May be thousands? Did anyone count? (approximately)
  2. Hey guys, hold on - this should be the DCS A-10 thread. (it costs time enough to read all posts belonging to THIS topic) thx ;-)
  3. hmmm, very quiet here... does that mean nobody wants to share any information or does nobody wants to fly "as real as it gets"? Couldn't believe neither 1 nor 2... hmmm....
  4. I try to practice navigation flights. Unfortunately there are not all Realworld NDB's simulated, only some fixed runway directions could be used in mission editor and so on. Unfortunately the NDB names in Beacons.lua are in kyrill letters and not readable for me... Some informations are confusing: Sochi has in Beacons.lua only entries for RWY 06. The NDB frequencies of the manual are 741 (Sochi Outer) and 365 (Sochi Inner Marker). For which runway? On Jeppesen maps you will find 365 OUTER and 741 INNER (BUT for runway 02 !!!???). I think most of you guys who are interested in practicing as real as it gets try to find out what is simulated and what not, means: what can be used how and where. May we share our information we found out so far? For example: - what runways are active (in mission editor)? - which beacons are where - which maps does exist (where?) which will correspond as near as possible to our sim world? ED tooks so much effort in this great simulation. Why didn't they give us this information that we could use the sim on that level it was done for. Is it possible to get some of this information from the producers? Thanks in advance Hedgehog, 33rd
  5. If it will be released in 9 Month then it should be nearly finished by now. So, ED should know if it is compatible with BS. Why does everybody say: Aren't there no new informations available about that issue?
  6. Sounds great! Thx!! (Didn' find it with search...)
  7. Will the coming A-10 have ILS? (Will the Airports have it?)
  8. You are wrong. The above link was for the specially designed Cougar version. Try this link directly to the manufacturers products sheet: http://www.dhs-electronic.de/homeeng.htm Here you will find the different versions. The first one (SIMPED-F16/USB) is a general USB solution. The third one (SIMPED-F16/C) is the special COUGAR version. So far I understand that. Hedge
  9. Maybe. Normally airlines use it to carry a broken engine to the next airport where it will get into the repair process. All airlines have contracts with MROs (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul companies). And this is an easy way to carry the engine to their next MRO facility. And yes, the engine is spinning - rotating in the wind. Can you believe how much your drag will increase if you would fix the blades against rotating?
  10. Had the same problem. But in the first time it does work correctly (amazing). When I did start TrackIR as Administrator ithe tracker worked fine - but after that my HOTAS Cougar didn't work anymore... Isn't a solution anyway. Beside other problems I decided to step back to XP.
  11. You should post your timezone ;)
  12. Totally uninteresting option - in my opinion
  13. It seems to be more difficult but first I have to say: I run it under Vista. When I start LockOn as Administrator, then my TrackIR works - but HOTAS is dead (no buttons, no throttle). When I start it as normal user, then TrackIR is dead and HOTAS works fine. (Until yesterday everything worked fine...) Not I try to reinstall LockOn
  14. What can I do if this does not work?
  15. Starforce update does the job! Thank You guys
  16. Link is dead. Where is that excel file? Download section is for me an empty page?...
  17. Nice dreams... But honestly, what are they worth for? ED is not even willing do realize "normal" AFM for all planes. To recall: we have - SFM (simple flight model) and simple instrument functions for all planes (except Su-25T) - AFM and simple instrument functions for Su-25T and we will (hopefully) have - AFM with detailed instrument functions for Ka-50 What I know: this wil not be gonna changed. Are there new infos around? (Do I remember right that I have seen the same discussion at FOPS? That would be the right place in my opinion)
  18. How does this kind of link work?
  19. The german "33rd Airbase Wing" is active since Autumn 2003. We have 3 Wings: - 23rd Fighter Group "Flying Tigers" with A-10 and F-15 - 299.OShAP Red Bolts (SU-25T) - Russische Jaegerstaffel (Russian Fighter Squad) Training is on Tuesday 2000 GMT+1 Beside that we drive an Aerobatics Team - Training Thursday 2100 GMT+1
  20. Download actually doesn't work:
  21. Here you find the checklist for the hog: http://www.33rd.de/include.php?path=content/download.php&contentid=31
  22. As I understand that FOPS project they will do the complete development beside their normal jobs until thye will have a first release and get some money to pay salaries to a couple of programmers. That is one reason, why it seems so slow. Another reason may be their focus on extremely high details. In the monthly appearing Developers Diaries you can see the ongoing progress of that project - and you can see: there is a progress!
  23. Did anybody find out more info about that sim? Any links?
  24. Ok. I should have used your mission to see what it does! (I wondered about missing waypoints....) Thanks anyway. This is a very good tool for that kind of training, which I definitely need at the moment at most (for aerobatics) ... and without much time for creating missions for PhantomControl... (and now you have some more stuff to write into your install notes... ;-)
  25. THAT'S IT!!! Good suggestion, thank you! So: what does your program do? I have a mission with 15 waypoints, but the plane only circles around WP 2. Don't you follow the whole flight plan? Is that correct? Anyway, thanks again for your assistance. Hedge
