  3. Thanks I just emailed a friend that successfully installed and he did make mention that it doesn't really matter where the original lockon is installed - Just do not install FC2 into the program files parent folder. My plan is to use a separate harddisk all together and install the sim there.
  4. I've read numerous posts on the Win7 issues encountered .... and would like to clarify my interpretation. This is for a clean Install on Windows 7 x86. Lockon - Install to non-program files folder Ex. E:\airplanes\etc\etc FC2 - Install to non-program files folder Ex. E:\airplanesII\etc\etc Apply newest patch for FC2 1.2.1 ..... And I'm good to go .... Does this sound correct????? Thanks Much ....
  5. Hey guys, I wanted to give a shout out to and a huge thanks to IRONHAND & http://flankertraining.com. I've been real busy with school, Career & work and its very hard these days, to get quality time in behind the stick. And what keeps me sharp is the tutorials by http://flankertraining.com & IRONHAND. {Outstanding work!!!!} Whenever I have the time, the tutorials really get me going and up to speed quickly. So, this thread is just to give credit, where it is due. And also, to say thanks for all your hard work and effort. Some of us really do appreciate it. Later & Bravo!!!! . . . . . Now, where is the ordering page for Lock On: Black Shark :~)
  6. That is great news, hopefully favorable conditions will prevail. Thanks
  7. I'm happy to see that the release of Black Shark is on the horizon. Are there any plans of releasing a NATO Based helicopter Add-on ?? Thanks
  8. I agree that you could have been a little more subtle in your sentence structure. BUT! You had a very valid point. I think paying for forum membership under any circumstance is stretching it a bit. Especially when that forum focuses on a product that doesn't yet exist. {I've read the forums and they mention that at this point they cannot release actual ingame video's etc... because of the possiblility of infringement on their intellectual product} Sure, pictures of aircraft & sceanery can be produced in a variety of ways {via, 3Dmax, photoshop} etc. It doesn't validate the existance of said product, therfore doesn't justify charging for access to the so-called insider information on development. Unless, that person who pays, thrives on having access to something others don't. {of course this is my opinion, to which I am entitled} Hence, my unwillingness to join area51. If ED, were to offer such an area for inside access to development on upcoming products, I would be inclined to join, mainly because they have a working product published & distributed. And it is a reality in motion. FighterOps, in my opinion is NOT a real product yet and I have yet to see any real evidence of anything to the contrary, it is a concept in motion, {there is a huge difference here} and only time will tell if it becomes a reality. I'm a huge fallout fan and Fallout3 was in development {a concept in motion}, but never came to frution because of issues beyond the developers control. In interplays favor, they had, fallout1, fallout2 & tactics published & on the market. So, access to insider information on fallout3's progress would have been a waste of time & money because it never existed, It was a concept in motion. With all the clever marketing scams present in today's market it is becoming easier & easier to relieve people of their hard earned cash. With a developer not showing any real evidence of the existance of a product, but in the meantime charging you for access to photo's, sounds, 3D models & sceanery, that can be produced without the existance of said product, makes your so-called investment & participation equal to the buying of snakeoil. So, to sumoscouse, you had every right to question its existance, and you have the right to request validation of the existance of said product prior to paying for access. And since they are unwilling or unable to produce any concrete evidence, they in the process haven't validated that it is a rational investment.
  9. Dear Sir, calling StarForce "Anti-copying malware" is a good enough cause to press charges and that is what our corporate lawyer is busy doing right now. I urge you to remove your post from http://www.boingboing.net/2006/01/30/anticopying_malware_.html because it is full of insults, lies, false accusations and rumors. Your article violates approximately 11 international laws. Our USlawyer will contact you shortly. I have also contacted the FBI , because what you are doing is harassment. Sincerely, Dennis Zhidkov, PR-manager, StarForce Inc., http://www.star-force.com Reference: http://gameguru.box.sk/ ****************** How about all the people who have had their computer hardware systematically destroyed suing starforce. They {SF} really have some balls, suing someone because they expose information about their product that is true in many cases. ****************** http://www.glop.org/starforce/ Read about all the problems people are having as a result of SF's product. ****************** I say everybody collectively sue Starforce, for damage to personal property. ****************** Hello, My name is Dan Mattia, the founder and co-owner of Game Overdrive (http://www.game-overdrive.com). In an effort to help the Boycott Starforce project, my company has begun emailing our PR contacts from the publishers who use Starforce, stating to them that they either drop Starforce or we drop their support. We've also banned any reviewing of any games they make until Starforce is dropped. We've had to hurt some of our relations with these companies, but in order to keep our systems running, Starforce will not be allowed to be installed. I urge you to contact your favourite gaming publications and demand they drop support of companies that use Starforce, as well. If we get a big enough boycott, we're sure to make an impact on the publishers Reference: http://www.glop.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=163

  11. Hi guys, Does anyone know where I can get\find a collection of flight manuvers simular to the one in this diagram. I found a couple on the Eurofighter Typhoon main site. http://www.eurofighter.com/ I haven't mastered this yet but I'm getting close. Thanks
  12. I thought it was a requirement to uninstall & reinstall with the new (1.11) Patch. {don't remember exactly where I read this} Thanks For Your Help Guys ...... I realize that this record has been played before, but its good to get the info straight from the right people..
  13. Hey guys, I've been reading the more recent posts about the amount of activations issued to people who purchased the Web version of FC1.1 ***Please Note*** I don't want speculations, and I don't want assumptions. I am requesting ACTUAL FACTS, from people who would\should know. Because this post will become part of my documentation on this issue and its has to be accurate. ***Please Note*** I don't want to initiate flames or SF\ED bashing in this post. {that is NOT the purpose of my request for information} I'm just a user who is entitled to some concrete facts. And, if you review my past posts, you should understand that I'm not here to start trouble of any kind, I'm just here for answers to my questions. =============== My concern is about the most recent patch 1.11 and future patches issued to improve the Lockon line. Often these patches require a NEW install and since I'm down to 2 activations, I need to know: 1. how many total activations will be\should have been issued to users who purchased the web version of FC 1.1 ? {I have read that some were issued 15 and some, like myself were just issued 5} 2. is there an established protocol for dealing with activation issues, {meaning when I run out of activations} or is it based on the fly ? 3. is this a limited use product, where after X amount of activations, users will have to\be required to re-purchase the product ? My concerns have been stimulated by the reinstalls required everytime a new patch is developed and released. And, please don't mention the little tools issued to save the registry and such, I'm looking for facts about the activations issue, not hacks utilized to get around them. There seems to be some confusion about these issues and every post on the subject seems to turn into a flame war, so no concrete answers are ever established. Best Regards & Thanks Thats as civil as I can make it, hopefully you will respond in kind.
  14. Thanks rssmps ......... much appreciated and a huge thanks to Teka Teka
  15. Of corse this request is for: FC 1.1 I did several searchs on the forum, because I believed I once upon a time read through one ..... but can't find it. Through trial & error I've located most of the parameters I was looking to change ..... but some are still MIA For ex. you used to be able to set the cockpit "angle of view" from the cockpit config screen ...... now its MIA and included in a lua file ..... BUT which one & what parameter ???????????? THANKS, for your help guys. Regards

I'll try a quick google ssearch. here you go: PDF Templates http://www.mmdup.com/templates/templates.html http://www.nimbit.com/duplication/order.php#quark
  21. Dude!!!!!! THAT IS SMOKING!!!!!! You should do a project to replace the menu artwork for lomac 1.02 & FC 1.1. I would love to have you work displayed instead of the boring pics and backgrounds included with the game. Outstanding work.
  22. Thanks for that gif .......... Ice.
  23. You stated some very good points Dark_Sceptre. I would like to know what development\testing platform was used for lomac. If today's single core technology is unable to provide enough processing cycles to max out lomac and its not coded for SMP or dual-core processing, then what system specs are required to run lomac in all its glory. {i.e. everything maxed out} I ask this important question because, I'm currently using an FX-55 with an ATI XT 850XT\Pci express, a MSI Neo4 K8N mobo with 2GB low latency ram. And, I still experience choke-ups and frame-lag at certain points, even though all of my computer components are post lomac released. Where is the bottleneck in my system, and why do I still experience slowdowns? Very strange.
