Hi, I am not colour blind and have no problem with the colours but as it happens I was just searching here to find out how to increase the size of the icons : F18c fighter..... a120 nm 2.3 missile etc as I have a large screen and these seem lost to me. Can anyone guide me to whether I do this in the controls area or in the Lua files and if so exactly what to enlarge please as I am not that IT savvy on the deeper stuff David

Hi, I have many predetermined load outs on my stores load out panel that I dont want to use. These are part of the system it seems as deleting them in game does not delete them for future missions after re boot. Where do I find the file to edit the will allow me to delete what I dont want and only have my own load outs free from original definitions please ? David

Hi Rob, Thank you for the info and I will make the changes you suggested . I have to run Simm app Pro because I need UFC info on the panel so there is no choice as far as I can see. One thing thats been very worthwhile is upgrading the screen image on the DDI's as recommended on this forum and its a different screen with a brightness and clarity not available as out of the box. Found the answer to my specific problem: After so many hours of tech support online with China who had not seen this display manager problem before, but fixed it, I went to fly for the first time with my new setup now fixed. However Simapppro showed a new update that was not there the day before and so I down loaded it and it messed up the screen layout that was fixed the day before. I replaced the DDI screens in the correct position and that fixed it ! In order to get the HUD lettering in the panels to appear though I have to have Simpapp pro running in the background or I have a monitor with correct info and a Hud with no info on it defeating the object of having it. I dont have a problem with this except I chose to also buy an F16 stick but dont use the vibrator part as it seems unpredictable BUT I have read it has an issue with frame rates lowering by about 20 fps. I have a strong set up, but so far I have not experienced any visual issues but can anyone confirm that either Simapppro or vibe unit has a n effect on frame rates please. Regards David

Hi, Have just bought the WW DDI's and have had issues setting them up with Microsoft :Display app" . Apparently the auto download of this when updating windows leaves a hook that wont allow one to move forward from downloading it. It says it's up to date. I had a WW engineer help with this and he said its a first but will post a proper result very soon for everyone to see. If I could have fixed it I would not be on here ! Subsequently there was an update of Simapppro this morning (UK gmt ) and now there is an issue with the main monitor display over the three DDI's. I am trying to get some more help from WW but 8 hours difference means not much sleep and just wondered if I had read something refering to this problem and a fix on DCS forums. I was also asked to try moving the three monitors to the side but after reboot they re appeared in the middle where the engineer put them last. The display app is treating all screen as one it seems. Any help welcome and maybe a link to your video Mustang sally which I cannot find on this thread as far as I can see. Maybe me as I had only two hours sleep after a severe hour WW /China fix it session !!!

Hi I have a ddi problem as well which so far does not make much sense to those iI have talked tp including WW briefly who just asked what version of the Sim app prog was I using !.16.17 LATEST in fact 1. have cleaned my pc od any previous ww simp prog or Display drivers 2. I have a UFC and HUD which register and work perfectly so far connecting to the monitor in DCS and mimicking the button presses. 3. No so with the 3 screens. O ope the ww figure display page and have switch off in fact disconnected all other devices except screens. `These screens do not show as three units but as one in the top left corner only. 4. I have downloaded the display driver VIA ww Simm prog and have rearranged all screens portrait and with correct identity in correct position. They all show a WW sim ID number as well. 5. When I start the install process and having download the driver it goes green 6. When I click on install it says the Display driver is up to date nd refuses to go green and allow progress. I have spent hours redoing this without success and would appreciate any help offered Thank you David

Jackson,thanks for the reply. Yes this maybe the next best thing but the good thing about the original position was it traps the detail both male and female so neatly but life is like that. I have other options and they may include your suggestion. I am not going to use the WW bracket as it's very large and quite strained when done up tight on this rig . I will make support steel bracket and fix them to the backing board shown. Keeps the brain working ! Thank for your input David

Hi, I have bought the WinWing screens and am in the process of assembling them on a sim stand set up . In doing so I would very much like to fix the lower screen by the corners ( There are other fixings plus this one ). This would mean ideally drilling through the triangle area of the screen casing. Has anyone opened the case up for any reason and can verify there are NO component parts or wiring / or board in this area which might ruin the unit please ? Thank you David

Hi, Thank you for the reply. 1. I am talking about the WW F16 stick with the extra long lever out front. 2. I fly F18 but use this stick because there are more buttons available than the replica F18 stick 3. Not sure where to post because it could be any on of the three forums /subjects above. Hi I am new around here and see there are WinWing answers but cannot find a place to ask this so since its a split question perhaps guide me to an answer or to the WinWing forum and how to post this there. Just received this great stick i.m.o. and am trying to find a use for the long lever that protrudes from the front of the add-on component. It activates a range of button presses it seems . Can anyone advise as to the best use of this in an F18 please. David

Hi, I have solved this problem by chance : The standard Track IR head set is normally mounted on headphones. This means its to one side of the centre line in respect to the sensor cameras mounted on the top edge of the monitor as a usual set up. This means there is an offset between the two beams. Normally we turn to the left when using HMD as the Flir has less masking effect due to Flir lens mount. If you look ou the right side of the cockpit the HMD reticule is pretty much in the centre of vision but not so on the left . It's skewed to the right and this means you have to glance out of the corner of your eye and try and place it over a moving target in the moving plane. Also the give away is the cockpit side is at an angle across your shoulder line. Solution is to compensate for the offset by twisting the camera stalks with the top outwards and you will see the HMD reticule now centres and the cockpit rail in square to your body. SOLVED

Hi, I am am a newbie here but working hard to learn as fast as possible including Carrier landing s. This is a great program but so far I only have words on a screen but notice I think there were Lua files including speech in the Guit -Hub package. I am not eloquent with IT enough yet ( although it looks like I will have to be more so ) as to : 1. Do I need this for LSO to talk to me in headphones ? 2. If so do I download the Lua file and exactly where do I put it please? Thanks for your great program and hopefully an easy answer ! David

Hi, I am still learning as you can see from this forum but I am using radar to designate moving targets then flipping them to the Flir for individual selection. This works fine for me offline ie not in multiplayer mode but when I join a particular server the radar does not see anything. These are tanks on the move and six of them and other sorts of heavy IR targets. Does the owner of the server have to tick a box or whatever to make this work ? David

I was ent an app that reset my Whart Hog settings and I also file a chunk off the plastic detent in the throttle stick base. After a few ins and outs I now have a nice smooth detent without having to lift the throttle stick as it glides over the "Cam" now and identifies "Burner" and also marries up with the visual red ring etc coming from the thrust tubes. All done now SOLVED David

So I have no idea why on my machine it did this but I have now transferred the control to elev trim and it works well. Problem solved ( if indeed there was actually a problem!) David

Hi and thank you for confirming it. Then I have no idea how the control was obtained as it has worked for months now since I started but lets move on from here as I know the true meaning of these controls and will read your recommendation "Stick and Rudder" as it may improve my model flying as well. Hey Thank you for the reply . The strange thing is it did move the elev trim it seems as this is one way to change AOA relative to throttle position. Must have been some interaction now disappeared by the latest update .
