  1. Oops, oh yeah. Thank you. Does the updater work in 1.29?
  2. Kind of a Catch-22 scenario. Might be a good idea in that case to provide a link here so people can do a manual update.
  3. I've held the trigger for ten seconds, just to confirm the guns weren't turned on. Guns on or off, the gun vibration effect was there. Not a biggie of course. Gmail didn't work for me and it didn't work for RKApps either. Whatever the reason. Protonmail did/does though. I do have a very vague (VERY vague) memory that it happened to me some years ago too and when I asked why it was because a lot of banned people were using gmail to setup alt accounts, so ED banned them. Or it was because of gmail spam-bots...
  4. I did that for a long time and then it started killing something else (can't remember what). So I dug out the hub (took me over an hour to find it, lol) and it fixed whatever the problem was. I've had this Crystal for well over a year now and still with all the issues. Updater doesn't work and you say "we're working on a fix"? Did you type that with a straight face? How long ago did the Crystal go on general sale and Pimax is still having to "fix" fundamental software components? And you want, or even expect, people to buy or upgrade to the Super?! Sure, a lot of people who have no experience in the field might buy one but there are sure as hell thousands who will say "when hell freezes over!" Pimax asked for a second chance, you blew it and you won't be getting any more from those who know the history.
  5. Something I noticed a while back (haven't played DCS for a few weeks), with guns in the Migs (15 and 21) the vibration activates when I pull the trigger but the guns aren't turned on (no tracers/rounds are seen/fired).
  6. Just checked and same, the updater in the Pimax app tells me I'm on the latest version (1.18). Just another reason why I won't be upgrading to the Crystal Super. They stop making advertised accessories and the software remains janky across the board (why does the pass-through continually turn itself off?).
  7. Process Lasso: Bitsum. Real-time CPU Optimization and Automation
  8. Are you using quadviews in PimaxXR runtime? Also pay attention to Pimax render quality setting vs DCS Pixel Density (mine is Pimax "Maximum" with PD at 1.5). If I run PD at 2.0 I get the stutters and jerking back.

    Hand Tracking

I made an aluminium bracket and velcroed it to the head-unit.
  10. I'm mystified who buys this without it being a complete setup for all grips, with the user having to do nothing more than connect the cable and then screw the grip on. EG, ready to go out the box just like a Virpil base and Virpil grip. I guess it's for the minority of people who have access to 3D printers and/or a machine-shop?
  11. I think it's "waiting" for you to fire up the game.
  12. Is it 'out of stock'? Lol. And are there plans to provide pass-through hand-tracking for it?
  13. Pass-through hand-tracking:
  14. Ohhh, that is some clever shizzle! When is Pimax going to do it!
  15. So Intel have proven incapable (at this point) of writing a piece of software (microcode patch) that addresses the problem for their own hardware. That's genuinely breathtaking. They wrote it, tested it, saw there were still dangerous spikes but went ahead and released it anyway. Just...WTF?!
  16. That is a seriously impressive setup. HMOG territory. My only concern would be keeping on top of all the software functionality. That and all those cables.

Same issue I had with the Leap Motion 2, its software reported that the Crystal port was both USB 2.0 and underpowered. I'm pretty sure it was the Leap's cable causing the problem.
  18. They're not on back-order, they stopped having them produced. However, after being nagged one of their reps posted a poll to see if there is a financial incentive to do what they should be obligated to do to honour advertised features of a product that's not even remotely near 'end of life'. Which is why I won't be upgrading to the Super. Who knows what features will be trumpeted at the start to get the money rolling in, then dumped when it suits their margins.
  19. No sign of it coming with a base floor-mounting plate.
  20. My mistake, it wasn't globally maxed at 4.9GHz, it was in just the one test I was running (no idea why however). I now have it locked to a max of 5.5GHz and it doesn't go higher than around 85c in DCS (so far, lol).
  21. Yes, it's perfect for anything other than hard dogfighting and until it throttled itself I was very happy with it.
  22. Brunner are fraudulent advertisers too in my opinion; not by what they claim but by what they don't say. I bought their MK1 base and it reduced and then cut power in under a minute of sustained-turn dogfighting. It's now an obscenely expensive waste of cupboard-space.
  23. DCS running on the monitor (Mig21 over Caucasus), full-screen, at 3480x2160, the CPU runs at full speed (5.5GHZ) but only 23% utilization. GPU (4090) is at 40% utilization. It has gone back to idle after shutting down the game though.
