This is a very well put together package, thanks for sharing it.

In 1.0.8 the visual model does not show the same loadout as the DSMS load. Visual shows jammer, TGP and 4 Mavs. DSMS shows that plus a bunch of GBU-31s. If I remove the GBUs from the DSMS it complains that it has detected GBUs on those stations.

But how could the system actually know that? What if your last weapon goes astray for some reason? It's impact point might be quite some way from the predicted place.

What if you set up a trigger of some sort so that the player receives a JTAC-like message that you have prewritten with the exact co-ords? Then the player could create a waypoint at those co-ordinates and use that as the target couldn't they?

Isn't the ladders going sideways indicating tat you're flying in a crosswind?

I do like random failures, but I think an option to disable them would be sensible.

Does that mean the current behaviour where switching from APU power to engine generator power knocks the IRU out of alignment is incorrect then?

I prefer not to know the exact scoring conditions - I do my best and then I go home.

This isn't gloating, but so far I've had no problems with CTD'ing out of missions or the like, and I'm finding this to be a great purchase. I say this merely to highlight that the problems you experience may be limited to particular hardware configurations or combinations, or some other combination of factors and are by no means universal. That doesn't make them any less real or frustrating for you of course, but might shed light on why there are not instant answers from ED.

I think 'full of bugs' is an overstatement.

I had something similar last night in the same mission, except that I could contact ATC when I started up. Everything went fine until I asked for take off, the tower kept saying they were unable to give me clearance. In the end I just took off anyway, and I think that put me in their bad books because when I came back to base they wouldn't talk to me.

I wanted to have a look at leroni.net but it gives a 504 Gateway Time-out error??

Isn't there something about your logbook pilot needing to be the same nationality as the pilot in the campaign to get kills recorded? I have a vague recollection along those lines.

Woohoo! Finally completed the mission, pilot rescued and everything! Except my wingie didn't make it, but war is hell and all. The mission has a teeny bug - when the UH60's rescue the pilot that seems to trigger the 'pilot dead' event and you get a message saying enemy forces got him, after that though you get confirmation from Sandy that all is well.

Also, the torrent is sooo much quicker.

Are you dropping CBUs?

I think this mission alone may give me my money's worth in hours of play! I've got a little better - I spotted 3 AA guns last time, but still struggled to find infantry with the TGP. That poor pilot has died five times this week...

Thanks Shagrat. The trouble is I've been using the TGP and I still can't find them! :cry: I'll keep plugging away at it, I'm obviously looking in the wrong place.

I'm flying without labels and I can't see any enemy anywhere. Anyone got any hints on finding the blighters?

Totally agree with you mickslick, this is a great sim. I thought I was getting a handle on things until I just flew into a hill in a night sortie! ED also deserve credit for the immersive campaign they've shipped with it. They've crafted great atmosphere into every mission.

I feel sorry for Igor. You'll love the TrackIR - give it a little time if it feels weird!
