  1. Not buggy, see the post above yours.
  2. Fantastic move, I wasn't one of the ones who felt aggrieved, but I'm very pleased with this gift.
  3. Yes I saw that quote, but I didn't know whether there had also been a tweak to the EGT modelling, as that was something that was recognised as not being bang on before. Thanks for the reply though. :)
  4. Has the relationship between EGT and torque changed yet? Things seem different now, but that might just be because we have to pull the collective further. I've noticed that it's very tight to perform a hovering take off without going past the green band on the EGT dial, but I've also noticed there doesn't seem to be any penalty for exceeding EGT limits yet - although I haven't really tried to melt it yet.
  5. Is actually 4 now, I should change that! It's still a somewhat underpowered machine for DCS but it was in 1.2.5 as well!
  6. My load times are also much longer than before
  7. Click on DCS World in your steam library. Look at the right hand side of the screen and click on the CD Key option. I don't have Steam's version of DCS World installed, but I can do this and see the key for the SU-25 I just purchased.
  8. First off, love it! Second, on my first flight I ripped the rotors off on the ground. The engines spooled down by themselves, and the temperatures went up. At first I thought it was heat soak, but they kept going up with no chanage in rate.
  9. Depends on the weight of your Huey. It's not known for being overpowered. Prior to this version the engine wasn't right - the EGT temperatures were not quite synced with the torque I think.
  10. I just finished a mission where a truck drove through my tail rotor. Strangely this 'failure' of the tail rotor does not show in the log, but a bunch of blank failures do. I saved the log file if it's any use.
  11. Thanks for the mission wess24m. What I flew of it was great - a good challenge keeping eyes on the blackhawk in the mountains! Unfortunately after the blackhawk was destroyed I didn't get anything else to happen. Then I landed near the troops on the road to see if I could entice them in, but while I was sitting there a Ural drove through my tail and destroyed the tail rotor!
  12. Glad you got it sorted!
  13. It's on the right hand side in the dcs menu. I think it came in with 1.2.4, so make sure your base installation of DCS World is up to date before looking for it.
  14. I'm sure if you try again you'll get it installed. I did it through the module manager and had no problems at all.
  15. Looks great to me, and the more Brit skins the better I say!
  16. I think this might be the same issue I was having. ED are aware and working on it...
  17. I don't know, descriptions from apache pilots firing 30mm HEDP and killing a couple of infantry per run make me think that maybe things are right as they are. Minigun rounds are just kinetic aren't they?
  18. Excellent, I'm envious of your flying experience. Thanks for the response.
  19. I think people might be interested to hear your background and real world experiences upon which you are basing your criticism of the original post...
  20. Is that with the engine limiters in? Maybe it makes no difference, but they should protect the engine from overstressing. Either way I hope temperature damage makes it to the final build pidpid the Huey.
  21. Hi, I noticed today that pulling torque anywhere near the red line placed me well beyond the safe continuous EGT of 610. I assume that melting the turbine is not yet modelled, but I wondered if the relationship between torque and EGT is correct at the moment? For instance, I couldn't get climb higher than about 3,000 feet without my EGT being beyond the safe zone.
  22. Ah, good to know. I'll wait till Monday then.
  23. I can't install it, BS1 is installed and activated, but the BS2 upgrade module won't install from the module manager, it says "BS1 must be installed and activated" What do I need to do to get BS2 working again please? It was fine in 1.2.3, so this is annoying.
