Yes, that is exactly what is the bug. What does it mean when you say "fixed internally"? To my mind it will be fixed with very next patch ? I know it is not point of this thread, but HUD test button is also bugged. When in free flight just press and hold small red test button and you will see.
-
And it is not bind. You have to bind it in settings.
-
Also hud test button is bugged, now. Before patch it was good.
-
It should be movable to access all the switches, IRL.
-
When i placed switch to reticle on the HUD, upon returning switch to normal daytime position, color becomes yellow. Identical to night mode, just brighter. Switching between day and night is not problem only when switch is placed to reticle position for the first time. And I did not find a way to fix/change after.
-
Once test button for HUD is pressed, there is some issue. Test picture we had before patch is now gone.
-
I also thought it would be good. But it is even worse. Ekran failed, completely dead. AFCS bit failed, and had to go for a second time. So don't do that. Engine after avionics.
-
I just tried this. Everything fine for me. AFCS won't work first time if engine is cold like i tried, so you have to switch that to off, check every trim is neutral after engine start up and then AFCS switch to ON. Wait for bit to finish. Still I would never choose this method, unless i really had to.
-
Hmm, i will try to do that as well. I will share my experience if it is successful.
-
It may be an issue to do that. Not sure if that is according to procedures. Never tried it myself. AFCS damper may also become issue if all 3 trimmers are not centered. But try again and wait for gyro to spin up 30-40 seconds. Do not disengage main gyro switch on this panel to test standby gyro ! Actually try not to touch anything. After 30-40 seconds on keyboard press J + 9 keys, both at the same time and hold for 1-2 seconds. Theoretically, it could work. In the end cage is used for reducing preparation time and only for emergency scramble to intercept upcoming threats. No need if you are "casual".
-
6 switches on electric panel ? I use the cage always and never had issues. Have you disabled main power switch for main gyro as Wags did in video tutorial? If you had, don't do that anymore. It creates gyro problem and INS alignment is busted. Instead use main - stby gyro mode on navigation panel to check if stand by gyro holds same heading.

Wow, a lot of information to process. Now the question should be what can SPO detect apart from wingmen radar lock ?
-
Only other RU module (full fidelity) I own is MiG-21Bis. Same 3 position switch, but you actually click on the switch instead of labels. That's where my confusion happened.
-
@axe1966 @Civetta_ITA Thank you, guys !
-
Navigation lights control switch is not clickable. Are navigation lights missing ?
-
Yes. In main menu select TRAINING and then the first training mission that is listed. There will be only 2. You can't keep MiG-29A straight in flight like you can do with F-16CM when joystick is released. Only autopilot. Trimming in flight is almost constant and you must never take your hand off the joystick. MiG-29 is not fly-by-wire. It is raw, wild beast. So whatever you do with trimming, plane will still bank a tinny little. Or pitch. You counter this with joystick inputs.
-
There is interactive tutorial already present in DCS for Fulcrum. If you did not, try it. There are some tinny things present that were not covered in video tutorial from Wags. After this interactive tutorial I did not have any issues.
-
I flown MiG-29 FC3 without issues and rarely used trim. You'll be good, even without pin point precision.
-
Roger that. Thank you for clearing this out!
-
That I know of. But I am not sure what tutorial meant with this. I thought it was some "lever" inside cockpit. "Keep in mind that the strut is placed behind pilot seat". On second thought was it to raise awareness of caution during taxi ?
-
No, sir.
-
Longest one I achieved was between 70 and 75km against fighter sized target. Detection appeared around 85 - 90km.
-
Where is the location of nose wheel strut ? Mentioned in interactive tutorial upon taxing. Somewhere behind pilot seat ? Does it do same thing as Lalt + Q or something else ?
