Contacted HP Support and the Reverb Pro is only a one year warranty via a case I opened for investigation. Those that got three years, consider yourselves lucky or you may want to double check if your warranty is in fact 3 years. Hello XXX, I confirmed with our product team, the only warranty offered on this device is the 1 year warranty. According to my leads and all the documentation for the system only a 1 year warranty is available, there is no 3 year option. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Going to the spec section now shows only 1 year warranty too. https://store.hp.com/app/pdp/hp-reverb-virtual-reality-headset-professional-edition

I bought from ShopBLT so no refund unless there is a warranty claim within 30 days. I don't plan on refunding but its curious that mine is only good for 13 months direct from HP.

Well looks like newer HP Reverbs Pro HMDs only get a 13 month warranty now. I thought it was three years for a Pro version?
-
Word of advise, I bought that device and it fried my trackir and a wireless USB stick the very first time I plug them into it. Good thing I was able to return everything to amazon but I would not trust a Inateck to power my $650 HMD. Im using my motherboard 3.0 USB and have had zero issues with my second Reverb so far after about 10 hours of use.

Found I can reduce the jittery effect by enabling motion reprojection in the WMR VR setting file. File is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MixedRealityVRDriver\resources\settings and called default.vrsettings. Use notepad++ to edit it by uncommenting "motionReprojectionMode" : "auto",

Yup found it and WMR is now at beta in steam. Thank you.

Ok after I played for a bit, I do see it ever so slightly and only at the very horizontal edge of the displays and only when I turn my eyes towards it while keeping my head straight ahead looking down the nose of the plane I'm flying. I never would have noticed it if I wasn't looking specifically for it so it not a issue for me and I think its negligible for myself. I also only see it on the canopy frame edges and not the terrain. So far liking the Reverb alot more than my last one and getting about 50-65 FPS with fairly high DCS graphics settings and with 100% Steam SS and DCS PD 1.0. My only complaint is it feels a little jittery when looking out the side of the canopy while banking unlike the smoothness of the Index even with 45 FPS on the Index. I dont get any ghosting but the clarity of the Reverb is 1000 times better than the Index though IMO. So far no flickering and no dimming of the screens.
-
Not that I notice but only had it for about 30 minute an used it in DCS for about 2 minutes lol. Here is the new clip

Ok I went to properties for Windows Mix Reality in steam library and check beta and it installed WMR beta to steam and now I have SS 76% as 2196x2148 resolution.

Yes Im running the beta 1.6.10

Just got my second Reverb and I have 1903 with latest July 26 build and I also have to use 188% Steam VR to get a resolution 2204 x 2160. My new Reverb also came with cable clip too and boy oh boy the clarity is awesome. My Experience for number two is night and day from my first Reverb that had issues 10 seconds in.

Update KB4507453 for Windows 10 version 1903 Microsoft has announced KB4507453 in the Windows support site, and it’s referred as “July 9, 2019—KB4507453 (OS Build 18362.239)” If you’re already running the Windows 10 May 2019 Update on your device, this update will address these problems: Addresses an issue that may cause BitLocker to go into recovery mode if BitLocker is being provisioned at the same time as updates are being installed. Fixes a problem that may cause Mixed Reality users to see a tilted world after connecting their headsets. Addresses visual quality issues some users may have seen with Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) headsets and Steam VR content. Security updates to Windows Wireless Networking, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Server, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Kernel, Microsoft HoloLens, Internet Explorer, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Virtualization, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Microsoft Graphics Component, Microsoft Edge, and Windows Cryptography. VPC MongoosT-50 CM2 Base - How to Change CAM's
Naruto replied to HC_Official's topic in VIRPIL Controls
Changes cams and springs yesterday, took about 6 minutes. -
Not sure I agree about pic quality, I definitely could see the SDE with the Rift S alot more than in the Index, the Index's SDE is negligible in my opinion in DCS.
-
I'm getting my second Reverb from BLT Wednesday. So we'll see if I get it too.
-
I use 2x MSAA and 16x AA.

Yes, I feel bad you still get the ghosting even with super low settings. Our system is very similar and I do not get it with my Nvidia and DCS settings so I don't know how else to help you with the Index. I know the feeling though, I had a Pimax 5K that gave me ghosting and juddering with no knows settings to stop it either and that's why it's gone and sold. I am currently on windows 1903 with latest Nvidia driver but windows 10 1809 worked fine too with the Index. One main difference I see is I overclocked the piss out of my PC and GPUs. +130 Core and +800 Mem with power target and voltage to max on my GPUs. Yes I do have two GPUs but DCS only uses one though. My CPU is OC to 5.1 Ghz and is water cooled with a corsair H150i rad and six fans in push pull configuration. Good luck but if you can't get it to work with DCS, hopefully Valve will take it back. One thing I do know is I will still get the ghosting on terrain if smoothing is not checked but I have never seen the cockpit frame warping or shuddering ever in any of the HMDs I had regardless what my setting were. Last thing to try is the VR mod to see if that helps but it breaks DCS IC.

I think there is something wrong with your system or setup. You're friends system is not very good for the reverb. I had the reverb for a bit before I RMA it and there was no significant SDE with awesome clarity. I have had the Rift CV1, Rift S, Pimax 5K+, Index, SO+ and the Reverb. The Reverb was by far the best resolution and had the best clarity and SDE with similar performance. The SO+ is a good HMD with no SDE but its blurry where the reverb beats it in clarity. I have a second Reverb coming next week.

Run pretty much the same settings except those already mentioned and trees max, grass at zero, full Screen checked, VR IPD at 66 and at 90 HZ. I like to lower SS below 100% and increase DCS PD. It feels like I get better performance that way. I started with Steam SS at 20% and DCS PD at 2.5 and slowly worked my SS up and found 50% to 60% gave me good performance and good visual clarity without the ghosting.
-
Your settings are way too high and aggressive. SteamVR recommends 150% for SS with a 2080 TI and you put yours to 200%. I have zero ghosting or judder as long as I use reasonable settings with smoothing checked. Try Steam SS at 60 and DCS PD between 2.0 - 2.5, Vis range to high and check smart smoothing. Put shadows to Flat.
