Pimax user just tried DCS with new Pitools update and said the below: coconut 17m First time a try a PiTool with Brainwarp. It’s impressive makes IL-2 Sturmovik smooth. DCS is playable, a few stutters here and there, but mostly smooth. I tried the 60Hz (or is it 64?) and there was some visible flickering on the map in IL-2, but nothing too problematic. I did not notice any flickering while flying. I also tried 72Hz and I think I’ll stick to that for this kind of heavy games. I did not see any option for variable-rate shading, is it automatic or disabled in this version? This may help those with lacking performance in DCS.

Please note that the latest NVIDIA graphics driver version (418.91 or above) must be downloaded and installed before you connect the VR headset. New version features 1. I just run DCS through steam by adding the exe to a non steam game. Oculas home screen still run even if I start DCS through StreamVR.

I have exact same problem but then I started DCS through VR steam with tray tools open on desktop, not minimized and it seems to work where its no longer locked at 45 FPS. My steam setting is at 200% with DCS DP at 2.

I'm PO123XXX lol, ordered mid January. I got some waiting to do but I just did order a SO+ to keep me company in the mean time.

Just ordered my SO+ even though I have a Pimax 5K+ on preorder too. Figure I can watch movies with the SO+ since it has no SDE. Selling my Oculas if anyone interested. Putting on ebay tomorrow.

I preordered a 5k+ too and hoping mine comes without the black dots on the LCD screen. There are two displays out there, one with and one without so cross figures I get a new one with out the issue since my preorder was very recent. Its reported, 8k does not have this issue so you may not want to switch. You have no recourse as a backer if something goes wrong. A guy on the pimax forum had his stolen in France and the delivery person said it was delivered so no recourse on charging back Pimax if they don't come through. For a preorder, I used a CC so if any issues, at least I can do a charge back but backers can't, they would be SOL if anything goes wrong.

Got a primax on preorder. What are you graphics settings? I may cancel if DCS is unplayable now.

I cant start DCS using OTT profiles because it crashes the sim, I can set a profile up but have to use steam or oculas to start DCS.

My 5K+ preorder email says shipment towards the end of February. I preordered last week.

You should be able to just use your mouse in DCS without a need for a controller like on my oculus.

Yes sir, I think you're looking at a total of about $1300 investment for the gear. I doubt Primax sensors and knuckle controllers are going to be any cheaper when released eventually.

Yes I use Oculus tray tools, I have to lower setting to medium to get AWS off to kick in and I can average around 70 FPS with a 2080 TI but I think the view looks bad. With high settings, it locks in at 45 FPS even with AWS off unless I look up over the ocean or sky and it shoot straight to 90FPS.

I think you can use HTC Vive base station sensors and controllers with the Primax. Another $500 to shell out for a set of two each unless you can find them cheap on ebay.

I have two 2080 TI and with mostly max settings and a DP of 2.0. I can sit at 45 FPS for most of the time with AWS off. I have to lower settings to get it to go above 45 FPS so AWS kicks in but I don't think it looks as good with lower settings so I fly at 45 FPS. I like pretty over FPS as long as its smooth.

Looks like 1.3.3.0 is the latest stable version DL on Andre Blog. Front page of this thread made it look like beta 1.3.1.2 was the newest release. Edit - Got the jetseat working in all of my installs. I just copied the contents of the export file from DCS World to my other saved game installs export files. All good now :).

Something is wrong then because it works great with DCS World install but it doesn't do anything in DCSopenbeta. The DCSopenbeta does have the same info in its own saved game script folder but it does not turn on at all when in the sim.

Hi got jetseat in today and testing it out. It works great in my DCS World install but I usually fly my DCSbeta instal mostlyl. How do I change the registry to point to the DCSbeta folder and do I have to keep changing the registry every time I switch between version to play?
