Is there anyway to have the Devs darken the green and red Hud colors. It too light and so hard to see especially against a green background and in VR.

Yeah its was funny, I made my post and then the next day saw Wags statement on the 50% increase. Can't wait for the update. After I saw Wags youtube statement about them loosing contact with Pimax, I was the one who made the post on the Pimax forum asking them why they were ignoring ED and not responding to them anymore about getting a HMD. Then PimaxUSA responded right away asking for Wags info and within a week or so, Wags got his Pimax 5K+. Then we get the news about the terrain engine causing performance issues and now we are getting a update.

The Pimax IPD is way off. I am 64 but I have to put it all the way to 60 the minimum setting for things to feel right. Just move it to what feels good to you. If one is good and one is bad, then your eyes may not be symmetrical to your face and you could be SOL.

Just tried my 5K+ last night and boy what a night vs day difference compared to my rift. The FOV on normal was huge and the clarity is so much better. SDE is still there but much less than a rift. I have some distortion on the sides but easy to ignore it. The terrain looks more detailed and I can now can see dirt and individual lawns next to building and houses and also notice things I have not seen before. DCS on medium setting run ok but ED def need to optimize their code to make it run better with the Pimax. I have a good system and it runs with marginal FPS. I can stay in the 35 FPS range at 72 Mhz with smoothing on in the F-18 and other planes but the F-14 I stay in the high 20s unless I reduce the DCS graphics setting significant. There is ghosting when banking the aircraft which is annoying. PP kills the FPS so I run with it off but zooming with it off makes you crossed eyed. So no more zooming since I rather have performance. Def got to fly with the mirrors and shadows off for increase FPS. Overall a fun experience way beyond the rift. CPU runs around 38% usage and my GPU is only running around 58% usage so got some investigating to do. Using FPSVR overlay to see specs while running DCS.

Not if it has the same resolution as the Vive Pro, 1440x1600 per eye as rumored, then it will be worse in pixel density/degree.

Rumor is it has the same resolution of vive pro but with 135 FOV. Getting my Pimax 5K+ Tuesday but will get the HP Reverb for the resolution.

They say to update Pitools with the HMD disconnected, reboot then plug it in.

The Base stations serve as reference points for any positionally tracked devices such as the HMDs and controllers. Base Stations perform this function by constantly flooding the room with a non-visible light. The receptors on the tracked devices would intercept the light and figure out where they are in relation to the Base Stations. Multiple Base Stations (2 for SteamVR) allow the tracked devices to figure out where they are in the 3D space. So they are basically dumb devices so no need for the BS to talk to the PC.

Do you have a Inspector profile that works in enabling SLI in DCS?

Heard it was fine, just a one game would crash when the user would take a screenshot. Others have used it successfully.

2080 TI sli here and no real improvements, does not work, only thing I see is DCS shares VRam between the two cards via NVlink from around 10 gigs on each cards. GPU usage is seen on one card while the other card sits at idle.

Just canceled my B&H Odyssey+ backorder and decided to go with the HP Reverb. Jut put myself on the HP notification list. Once I get my $300 back, the Reverb will only cost me $300 wink wink. That's what I told the wife anyways :). I wonder what's going to show up on my door first the 5K+ or the Reverb. Never got my Pimax yet :(.

My Pimax 5K+ is being delivered tomorrow so I may take a day off from work Friday and play with it. I hope my PC can handle it :)

You can order the DAS. Just pop off the brackets and install some 3d printed ones and you're all set. If you don't have a 3d printer the brackets can be printed for about 10 bucks.

I definitely did delete them in the saved game folder. Still get black trees.

When I use this mod the trees look black, is that normal or is there a fix for it? Also is this mod IC compatible?

F-18 now has slight rolls after banking since latest update Anyone else have this issue. Everytime I bank in the F-18 and level out, it wants to roll ever so slightly in the direction of bank and I have to use trim to fly straight. I never had to use trim before with no weapons load out in free flight mode so not sure if having to use trim is the new normal now after the update. I checked stick calibration and its rock steady with no drift in signal and my controlpanel window shows now stick movement either and it does not behave this way in other planes too.

According to VoodooDE VR - He did a video chat with Pimax (19:49) and they said all 5K+ backers have already shipped, 8K backer will have HMDs shipped by end of March as well as all 5K+ preorders will ship by end of March too. Taken with a grain of salt BYW :).

I thought DCS only uses two cores, why would ram0506 be using all of his cores at 50%?

To rule out DCS completely, why not try doing a fresh install of DCS via a new download with no mods or AC modules to a different drive if you have one or install folder and see if you have this issue with a bare bones DCS installation. Just try the free plane so you don't burn any keys on the fresh installation. Are you getting this problem in the stable and beta versions too? Also if you have a spare hard drive (even a slow one would do), do a complete windows 10 install as a 30 day trail version so its free with only a new DCS installation and video driver and only required Vr software to test out your system. Again only use free planes so you don't burn a DCS key. I know it a lot of work but this should give you piece of mind in completely ruling out any software bugs that may be causing this.

It appears SteamVR is limiting the Pimax to a max resolution on SS to 4096.
