I got a fictional peruvian navy Su-39 skin for Su-25t here. but it doesn't work. file format is similar to the fictional Hungarian 25T skin at lockonfiles, but seems to be missing a key element. this is how the hungarian skin looks in modman's edit screen: And this is the Peruvian one: I tried to repack the file, but get the same missing catalog slots. I'm assuming there is just something I don't know about using modman to make packs. Anyone got any pointers on how to get the catalog files right?

Prophet, look at the tracks i posted earlier in this thread. I used Mercury pod and TV weaps at night with horrendous results. Are you telling me there's a way to get them to work at night? rlogue, I too am a capitalist pig...just trying to get into the spirit of a fictional Russian mindset that only exists in my mind... :) Don't take it seriously! -

Ok I've had a chance to run it in FC and everything works as it should. One last question before I upload it to lockonfiles. Who made the skins that are included? I want to give credit in the description...

With the help of you fine gentlemen I have ironed out all my issues! turns out my TDC slew problem WAS USER ERROR...lol for some reason slew up was programmed in as a single key macro...so no matter how long you hold it down it only runs once...simple to change it to the keystroke it should have been...now it's smooth as butta...just like my TV guided munitions issue...the only problem was me! I've been waxing Hawk sites for the last hour fun fun fun! I have learned the necessity of the "double tap" with the PR missile..as the first one always gets shot down by a hawk! Seems the Russians are lacking some night-time goodness with the lack of night capabale PGM's...are there any in service that just aren't in FC, or any under development? Anyway thanks again! -

I knew I had to be missing something monumental there thanks! So I take it there are no precison guided bombs that work at night with 25T? And setting my joyrange to 3000 worked awesomely!!! both my stick and my throttle provide much finer control than ever before!!! Now if i could just iron out my TDC slew issue after ground lock I'd have no more issues!! -

2 1.12a tracks http://www.easy-sharing.com/283685/Tracks.rar.html yup have J mapped to hotas button. the slewing issue only occurs after ground stabilization in 25T, cursor in other A/C is as it should be which makes me doubt it's a controller issue.... -

yes I have AC and the target box changes to the exact size of the building. I'll do some more testing tonight when i get home, maybe record a track or three -

thanks guys I'll try out the joy range thing. My problem isn't staying in formation pre or post contact it's throttle adjustment. In 1.02 the auto-throttle would hold at whatever speed i hit it at, now it seems to vary a few km/h after engaging. hopefully that adjustment will give me more subtle throttle control, and I can dispense with auto-throttle altogether! I'm using X-52 BTW. And as for the Tv missles I used them on hummers with no problems, but when I tried to use them on a building they flew off crazy and self-detonated. Only unit in that mission was myself! -
1. Prior to ground locking the targeting pod (day or night) in Su-25T the TDC slew is smooth in both axes, meaning I can hold down the hat and it pans continually. After ground locking, the horizontal slew is still smooth, but vertical TDC slew requires muliple key presses and still moves too slow, makes follow up shots on one pass impossible. Is this how it should be? 2. Tried some TV bombs on a building. Set target size to max, locked up building got authorization, pickled two off while in wings level flight, both misses. Must have tried this 6 times. All misses and not the same miss every time. I tried both types of TV bombs. Got pissed and loaded up TV missles, targeted and locked same as above got authorization, fired and both missles go WAY off to the right and blow up in the air....I thought these were fire and forget what am I doing wrong? 3. Loaded up a Su-33 mission and tried to refuel...obviously the script that used to take over when you connected is no longer there. Which would be fine if the auto-throttle worked as precisely as it used to. Which it doesn't. It was impossible for me to maintain contact speed after hook-up. Now I can refuel in F4AF, which I would say is orders of magnitude harder than LO, but the throttle in LO just doesn't seem to be capable of maintaining a speed, either you're accelerating or decelerating. It's like the throttle just doesn't have fine enough response or something. Which is why I assume they have auto-throttle...just doesn't seem to work now. I hit it when the speed I want is displayed and it goes back up or down depending on which way you were going at the time....Any ideas/tips for the new modelling? Any help appreciated!

ok if you are running 1.02 (which is original LO without the Flaming cliffs addon and subsequent patches) you need "Loman 2.1 Final". Get it a lockonfiles (first link above). You have to register to use the site, but it's worth it, there's a ton of good stuff on that site.

Some skins you just put the files in the proper directory, and some skins use a utility called Modman to help you manage all your skins/mods etc. If you can put a link to the skin you got it would help. open up the .zip or.rar file you got and see if there's an addon.lma file in it. If there is it's a Modman pack. you can get modman 5.0 at http://www.lockonfiles.com OR http://www.lockonskins.co.uk/ hope this helps!

From the looks of the forum there's not a ton of recruiting going on with this group. I've been trying to get ahold of a member via the contacts page with no responses yet. I could be told to GTH as they're private...but it never hurts to ask right??? I know some squadrons release their skins...I'm hoping the 159th will...

Just get LOPE and put whatever you want on your planes for single player. If MP is your thing, get together with your buds and decide what you will allow and go have at it...what's the issue??

and can someone explain to me the format of the new skins? I have found skins that are 6 .dds files that go in bazaar/temp textures, and I have found skins that put a .cdds file in bazaar/world as well as .skin files in bazaar/world/shapes. the second type of file always comes with a meinit.xml, and graphics.cfg. What is the difference? It seems to me that the ones that re just .dds files will be viable through more patches/upgrades, as the meinit and graphics.cfg are changed. am I right in that thought? Can't do any testing as I'm STILL waiting for my copy of FC....sigh

This mod contains graphics.cfg, and meinit.xml from 1.11. Is there a conflict with installing these over 1.12a? Is there a pack available of just the skins?
