I don't play online so I can carry whatever the hell I want! In my universe there's no MANPADS allowed either! lol :D And just to be clear, I didn't make this skin. A bloke who goes by the handle FoxDie did. I just thought I'd post a heads up on a great skin, since he doesn't post here.

From what I understand this just adds onto the flyables available. Also if you don't have FC it won't add the Su-25T.

Sounds like you're doing everything right...wierd. One thing you could try just to see if the stick itself is the problem is to open up notepad and push some buttons and see if they are being sent. I've been using my X-52 for almost 2 years now with no problems at all. Hope you get it sorted!

Okay this may be a bizzare request, but bear with me... I'm a huge Punisher Fan (comic book vigilante if you don't know google it), and I would like to make a request to all of the great skinners in the LO community for a Punisher themed F-15C skin. I'm not too picky about the specifics other than the Punisher skull (original or movie see pics below) is included, and the skin must be worthy of someone who's life is punishing the wicked. You can do a black skin with white skull or light skin with dark skull I don't care let your imagination go wild! Thanks if you even consider doing this! Remember it's not about justice...it's about Punishment... This is the original Punisher Skull (I'm kinda partial to this one sorry I couldn't find better quality on this one) This is the Skull from the recent movie:

Followed the instructions in the readme, but everytime I go to compile my campaign it "encounters an error and must close" any tips or should I just release it as a mission pack?

Campaign Building Questions

Hmm that's a good idea! The only problem is that the buildings I need to be on fire are at the airbase where the player A/C takes off from, and it might look worse for them to be blowing up again..when they are already supposed to be on fire...I'm gonna have to do some testing. thanks for the tip! -
Okay so I'm finishing up my F-15 campaign (yes I know Thomas just released one...not my fault). And I have a few questions. 1. Is there anyway to make a building destroyed(or better yet on fire) at mission start? I seem to remember some of the BSOPS people talking about this but I can't find anything. 2. I have seen people discuss how they felt one mission builder or another did a good job at making the airfield seem "alive". IMHO it is of limited value as I only see it when taking off and landing, and while it's easy to script things to happen on take-off, it's much harder to gauge exactly when the player flight will land, especially when you set all the AI units to random difficulty (which can make the mission time/difficulty vary greatly). And on top of that, in missions where there are already alot of units it can add to the FPS drain. So first, how important do you think it is, and second, what are good techniques for achieving this? I mean what do you want to see? trucks driving around, helos taking off/landing what?

I've seen many people slag the mission editor in this game and I just don't understand. Making the missions is so easy. yeah setting view distance to medium instead of TOMMY fixed it up. I find I have to set my LOD's like this: LandLodDistances { LandDay { L01 = 20000; L12 = 40000; } LandNight { L01 = 15000; L12 = 40000; If I don't then my terrain looks all funky! Thanks for the tip on the view distance I didn't even look there. Now if I could just get the MiG-29K's precision weapons sorted I'd declare this mod a winner! -

Couple of questions...how do you use the guided missles and ARMs in the 29k? How do I get rid of the washed out look of the distant terrain? I assume it's part of the FPS part of the mod? -

Hmm interesting, so you made the mission to go on for longer than you expect the player to fly or live? I wondered why you had the SEAD flights coming into the targets waaay after I was winchester and landed. So what do you do then just sit and watch? And as far as the burning vehicles making atmosphere I agree completely! If you check the thread I posted with my missions, fly the CAS one...lots of arty going off everywhere and lots of burning stuff...that poor town gets hosed! In your mission I never saw any of that because going any closer to the carrier force than my target was suicide, and no pilot in their right mind (short of a kamikaze) would go into that hornets nest without some major firepower. and I can see your point about not having air superiority, but I don't think any military would send their planes and crews into a confrontation they know they couldn't win (unless it was a last ditch, desperation move). which is why in my version of your mission the SEAD and Strike flights are getting to attack WPT about the time I do. Which means there's still all the threats up when I get to the target, but while I'm there all hell is breaking loose :) It's really interesting to get your take on mission building. I hope you will fly mine and critique them as well! Oh and if you registered at lockonfiles make sure you download my "machine crusher" mission. Basically it's a WWII style carpet bombing mission I made to push my system to its limits. Fun! Fun! Fun! that whole town burns real good when you drop 70,000lbs of explosives on it :) -

Three missions for your enjoyment. C45-Fast Mover CAS practice: I set this up to practice A-G weapons delivery with the fast movers (default player A/C is Mig-29S). It's a target rich environment with limited air defences. It's a short hop from your airfield so you can land to rearm multiple times. C-45-Su-25T Airbase Strike: I made this one to watch how the AI interacts as relates to SEAD. The ingress is quite long so you can put on the autopilot and watch the battle between the enemy ADS and your own SEAD forces. Make sure you've got plenty of time before starting this one...it's looong! C-45-Su-27 Defense: Basic scramble type mission. There's a large incoming attacking force as well as a 2 ship trying to sneak in and hit your EWR. Take out the sneakers and then go help with the main attack. (hint: if you run in burners after you kill the sneakers you can get behind the main force before your other flights intercept them...but you gotta be sneaky....) as always read the mission briefs and study the map before flight. The first two missions have quite a few units involved...so if your computer melts it's not my fault! :D Enjoy! C45 Misc. Missions.rar

I'm not opposed to lots of units in a mission if they are directly involved in the player A/C's mission, but I think it's a waste of computer resources to have all kinds of activity going on around the map that the player will never see. It would be different if you could hear the comms of the other flights (like F4), but you can't so all that extra activity is just sucking up cycles unnecesarily. Just my humble opinion... Give me a few and I'll post the tweaked version of you mission(in this thread) as well as a couple of my own missions(in a new thread) that use a ton of units for a single goal.
