Switched to my I5 few months back over the AMD I had an was way better for what i wanted to do. Now will be looking for an I7 to push the threshhold, not sure what Edge/NTTR is gonna require so just planning on gettting an I7 b4 or around Edge/NTTR release. The I5 gave me a boost both in ArmA an DCSW over what I had. The AMD I had was horrible for FPS on ArmA3 but was playable on DCSW at that time. Thanks for response, yeah I have a 7200 rpm 1TB drive currently an have had it since I bought this pc. Have done the pc performance rating an it always comes back at like 4.x or what ever it was going off the weakest part of my sytem which is my hard drive(so it says). The other problem was also having enough room an beiing able to afford an ssd. I could nvr afford a 1TB SSD. But want to upgrade that part of my sytem..... Have been contemplating getting an SSD mainly for games(DCS-ArmA) but have been told u must install the operating system on em. Is that true or are they just blowing smoke up my rear?

A10C hands down, best flite sim ever developed IMO.

Have to install DCSW Open beta than install it via module manager. It is seperate from DCSW currently installed.

Yeah i like this stick too vs what I had b4, i took one look at the SST programming an just cringed. Not thats I'm sure it's awsome just i'm a noob with an advance flite stick etc an fairly new to the Flite Sim scene. the stick however control wise has been a huge improvment over what I had, hav'nt experienced what u mentioned course i hav'nt attempted to use more than one mode either.

Ah k thanx that explains why :D. Was only trying to assign ingame, have no clue how to use the profile editor(SST). Wish there was a key(button) layout/diagram etc for the stick would help some too. This is what happens when u play shooters for many yrs, an than use a cheapy Wal Mart special stick for 1st joystick, only got this X52pro as a upgrade to the CyborgX I had.

Ok so i've had this for awhile no an I'm wanting to assign certain buttons on the stick in the controls pg for various aircraft but when I click some buttons on the stick it does'nt assign them to that(like it's not taking or execepting it(nothing happends). I'm trying to change keys for better speed break control an no matter how many times I scroll that wheel nothing happends. I would add it manually but I'm not exactly sure which one to click to set it. Is there somewhere I can download a good daigram of what buttons are what so I can assign them properly. Yeah I was totally confused thru this whole update process as my program files version said I was @1.10 or what ever previous version was while loading sp game was @ current 1.11... trying to connect to servers was more lekely nonupdated server an causing a conflict. all this after re-dowmloading DCSW an re-installing. FYI which doing that solved the 1.10... from update occuring. Usually in the past it's always been a smooth transition hence the confusion I think.

Yeah this is wierd i downloaded the update after starting DCSW. It appears the download went thru as usual started the game an could'nt connect to servers in MP. Left game checked my game version is still @ 1.2.10.32582 for update that should be 1.11.... Attempted update thru root directory(start menu) ran updater there an same thing.

Ok just checked somthing after reading another post an program files shows game @ 1.2.10.32582 after update.

I guess I really did'nt look in my haste to try the new SU27, seems like I nvr had this issue in past(after an update) will wait awhile an give another go in cpl hrs an try again. tried 3-4 differnt server host so maybe just need to be patient some :D thanx for reply. Maybe I was one of the lucky few to get it dl'd early b4 the mad dash of clickers :D

Can't connect to any mp game after update today. Anybody else having this issue? Is it that the host hav'nt updated yet? Or is it possible somthing else is going on? I restarted an tried again an than I tried to repair DCSW both with same results.
