  1. Apologies. My comment was not directed at you - it was directed at Fri13 who was being elitist
  2. This is exactly why I went for the 1080 Ti Founders when it released. I got 2 of them and bought 2 waterblocks for my loop. I always get the founders editions. Yeah they're not as good as the later releases but they are far more reasonable and Nvidia, on their site, keeps the price point low enough.
  3. Does any of this really matter in a forum? The whole point point of communication is the effective delivery/understanding of someone's premise. It's clear we all know exactly what the OP is referring to (Super Hornet); why derail the thread? Regardless, I believe Super Bug came from the FSX 3rd party simulation of the E/F variant of the Hornet. I'm curious if they used "Super Bug" to get around Licensing? https://www.vrsimulations.com/superbug.php and that's it for my off-topic reply to an off-topic response. :)
  4. Absolutely fantastic! I've begun working on my own, too. It will be inspired by the f-18 but have more flexibility for other aircraft.
  5. Good news then... I had thought there would be complications. Thanks!
  6. Has anyone tried this and does windows properly identify 3 separate devices? With the release of the Hornet I'm working on building a simpit that supports 3x MFDs. The problem though is I'm not sure if you can have 3 thrustmaster MFDs plugged into the same computer (or more). I know each device has it's own "ID" to distinguish from each other. However, I'm not sure if those IDs are duplicated across packaged products - hopefully that makes sense?
  7. I bought two of these on eBay to use with my Thrustmaster MFDs: https://www.ebay.com/itm/HDMI-Input-LCD-Controller-Board-8-800x600-EJ080NA-05A-AT080TN52-LCD-Screen/201001584366?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 Because this seller is from China it seems that they are unresponsive with my questions regarding a power cable. However, the ad states this: Input Power Adapter:5Vdc More than 2A. I'm curious if "More than 2A" means I need a 5VDC/3A or if a 5VDC/2A will work fine. I've never seen a power requirement listed like that before. Thoughts, feelings?
  8. As the updated Su-33 was approaching release there were lots of videos/screenshots of the updated Russian carrier. I had thought this new version was being released with the Su-33, but I believe I am wrong. I know ED plans to update "carriers" in 2018, at least I thought that pertained to the US Carriers. Is that also true for the Russian carrier as well? I could have sworn they were releasing a retextured one with the 33. /shrug
  9. There are some images with 10x AMRAAMs; granted not many. Most are with 8. I'd be curious what ED ends up implementing. https://www.vtg.admin.ch/content/vtg-internet/en/einsatzmittel/luft/f-a-18-hornet/_jcr_content/operatingresourcesImage/image.transform.1470999890694/image_588_368/image.fa_18_01.jpg
  10. Too much... in fairness though they were zoomed in pictures of the f-16 wingtip in a f-18 related search. And being hungover I didn't put two and two together until Wags responded. 8 is never enough... 10 is never enough. I want 20. :)
  11. Who knows what code ED might be pulling/reusing, if at all. I imagine there likely is some re-usability in the load-out code. Though I could be completely wrong. Sorry if you think it is unimportant.
  12. It was my mistake... in my hungover state I mistook the falcon for the charlie. How I don't know, but it is what it is haha. They were all zoomed in photos of the wingtip. /shrug Here is a pic, though of the dual AMRAAM rails on a Charlie. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e5/FA-18_Hornet_VX-4_with_10_AMRAAM.jpg Edit: Wags are you aware that you can outfit the Charlie in-game with AMRAAMs on the wingtips?
  13. Interesting... I've seen a lot of pics of Charlies' sporting AMRAAMs on their wingtip, though. I assume they can be mounted but then cannot operate the wingtip mechanism? I am correct though on the dual launcher rails from the under-wing pylons? Even if AMRAAMs are not supported on the wingtip that would still provide 10x.:joystick:
  14. Correct me if I am wrong but the Hornet can technically hold 12 AMRAAMS. I believe the wing pylons can hold two each via the dual rails. I ask because I was messing around in the mission editor and noticed the current implementation of the Hornet does not feature these. Curious if that will change when the module releases. I want to launch all 12 at a single target. :music_whistling:
  15. Noticeably slower or we talking to the point where it does not matter? I went with HDMI, but just curious.
  16. Thank you, this is what I suspected. I ordered 2!
  17. I've been trying to search for this answer but could not find any information... Is there any meaningful difference in choosing an HDMI/DVI/VGA screen vs USB? The Lillputs seem to all be USB and more expensive. However, I have found several alternatives that are far cheaper and the nice thing about them is they are completely stripped down and allow easier integration in my simpit. I'm likely going to end up running 3-4 of these smaller displays (link below) - they all appear to be marketed for Raspberry PI. So, just curious any major difference between the USB monitors and HDMI? I can't imagine graphical processing is any different? My machine certainly can certainly handle it (2x 1080Ti, 5960K i7). https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HDMI-DVI-VGA-Audio-Controller-board-8inch-EJ080NA-04C-1024x768-LCD-screen-/361145040450?hash=item5415ebfe42
  18. Thank you Bignewy! I did not realize there when a product went to early access that it only went into the beta branch. I've never done an early access before. This makes sense, but was initially confusing. ha!
  19. Oh crap... there is another open beta? yeeesh! TOO MANY VERSIONS OF THE SAME GAME!
  20. Well, this is odd. The module says it required 1.5.8. DCS is at 1.5.7.11762.396, however when I run updater it says it is up-to-date. DCS 2.0alpha still cannot detect it?
  21. So I purchased the AV8, but the module is no where to be found in DCS Module Manager in either 1.5/2.1. I verified I have the latest updates, too. Any ideas? I have tried logging in/out.
  22. Is it coming up? I still don't see it and it's 1328 UTC
  23. STT mode is best suited if i know there is only one bandit close? So if im losing lock in STT mode I am more than likely going to lose lock in TWS mode even if im using PRF HI/MED?
  24. Yeah I know... But a lot of the "stuff" I already know it's just the changes that were made to the "new" FC that I have not learned. So this PRF combats notching then?
  25. So for whatever reason my PDF wont open. UGH But what ive gathered is this: High PRF is for high closure meaning they are at a high altitude? Medium PRF is for Low closure meaning they are at low altitude? If this is correct, if I see they are at angels 20+ should I use High and lower than 20 use Medium?
