Hello - On the Display7Segment for the hornet... the box that they always populate in is black with a light grey border. Is there a way to change this color/image? I cannot seem to find where it is located to change that setting. Thanks.

Something I've started to work on is building a digital UFC for my 800x600 touch screen monitor (in portrait mode), specifically for the hornet. While I appreciate all of the attention to detail when mimicking the hornet's UFC... It always looks a bit odd when "weathered" textures are being projected onto a digital display. So I've started working on my own UFC that will have additional fuctions/ buttons on it and will look more "realistic" when projected onto a separate monitor. I've included a sketch, in addition to the first buttons being implemented and their on/off function (notice button "6". It should end up looking similar to the Super Hornet's UFC... but with additional functions so I do not need to click with the mouse for the vast majority of my flights.

Planning Build/Stuck on Monitor Layout and Interface

Also you could build a front console that mounts to your r3volution. Sketch what makes sense to you and totally customize it. The back of my front console is recessed to fit the monitors. You could totally do this. -

I used fusion 360 to design and lay out the parts. With time it is totally doable. I had zero experience with this in the past. I submitted my parts laid out on 1/2” MDF to be fabricated on 5ft x 10ft MDF boards. A CNC routing company near me did the cuts for $300 a board. That rig cost me on $600. Spend the time and you will get rewarded. Don’t bite off too much at once, sketch it out. -

I use Ikarus. You can completely customize the GUI. But it takes some work. I'm still in the process of doing it. But ultimately, you create a background and create buttons. I use photo shop. and you set the parameters. For me, I find Ikarus to be far superior to helios. But it's my personal preference others prefer helios. It takes time to build, configure and test all of this stuff... so its not an overnight process. I've only played around with the A10... to learn how to do it for when they release the hornet for Ikarus. Though, I suspect I could probably figure it out before they release it. Here is a link to my build, 3rd and 4th page of the thread I think you would be interested in: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205723 Here is Ikarus: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=179525 -
Planning Build/Stuck on Monitor Layout and Interface

FYI, I'm running a 34" ASUS ROG PG348Q with 6x sub displays, one being a touch screen and my FPS is 35-60 with 2x 1080 Ti, liquid cool and overclocked. The reason that it does not run faster is because you have to run the game in windowed mode for the exports to work correctly. Most of the time my FPS is 40-50 - gysnc helps with this though to make it smoother at the cost of a handful of frames. You'll likely ask about the rest of my system specs: 5930k, liquid cooled and overclocked. 32GB corsair dominator, ASUS ROG Rampage Mobo. -
Haha - lots of trim is required for takeoff when he is there.

The latest version of SRS is not working for me. I've honed down the issue to the Export.lua file. If I remove my Ikarus script it works fine otherwise it does not work. I can connect but no frequencies will display on the overlay unless i comment out or remove Ikarus. here is my file:

Here's an update with me running the Hornet. Everything is looking good so far. I'm still trying to figure out how to move the chat box and Radio menu to a different monitor - but I've had zero luck in that department. My pit also comes with a cat. Sides will eventually be sheet aluminum, but wanted to get the LEDs in there first.

Any rough ETA on the Hornet being available?

Hello - I currently have 1 primary monitor and 6 secondary monitors to display a variety of items. DDI/MFD/AMPCD/Etc. I would like to move the radio menu and the chat box to a secondary monitor. I know you can move the multiplayer chat box by clicking and dragging it. But when i try to drag it to one of the secondary monitors that are used for viewports it will not let me, it's stuck to the primary display window. Is there a way to set where the chat box sits with x/y coordinates so that I can have it always set to one of the other monitors? Further, is there a way I can set the Radio menu (ya know AWACS contact, tanker, etc) to one of those monitors? Thanks!

She's completed! I havent had time to configure all the monitors yet. I'm still waiting for Ikarus to be updated with the Hornet. Additionally, I'm leaving on vacation and had not had a chance reconfigure my monitor setup. Waiting for the VT50 Throttle to show up before I set the warthog in without the throttles. Right now I just placed it on top of the left console. Enjoy! Sides will come eventually and a glare shield for the main console.

Thanks guys! there's only one touch screen display and it will be used as a UFC link here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/HDMI-LCD-Controller-Board-8-800x600-EJ080NA-05A-AT080TN52-Touch-LCD-Screen/201038627356?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Everything else are 8" or 10" monitors. https://www.ebay.com/itm/HDMI-LCD-Controller-Board-With-10-1-VVX10T025J00-2560X1600-IPS-LCD-Screen/202277884113?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Monitor madness!!! Far left ones are not mounted yet. Just making sure they all work in addition to the touch screen (far left closest to the camera).

Something I've been noodling on... First, I love your software, it is absolutely amazing work. Second, I have purchased a 800x600 8" touchscreen monitor for use of a UFC for a variety of aircraft. More specifically, the hornet. The only issue I have struggled with is the fact that the background images (cockpit, switches, buttons, etc.) all replicate what a cockpit looks like. Sounds odd, right? When things are projected onto a screen they dont have worn down marks of a cockpit - they're digital. Sort of like the difference between the touchscreen display of a Super Hornet vs. the physical button display of the Legacy Hornet. What am I getting at? I've been noodling on the idea of using the base version of Ikarus F-18c (excitedly waiting for its arrival!), but swapping out all of it's images for custom images that I end up creating with hopes of semi-mimicing what the Super Hornet touch screen looks like just so it does not have that "projected cockpit" feel. Meaning, creating Black/green next buttons that their on/off characteristics change once touched. Black/green outline to solid green square. Any thoughts on this?

Ordered - I don't fly the A10c too much with the hornet out these days... but they deserve my money, especially if it encourages a Hornet UFC.

Has anyone had any success with a 8 to 10.1" touchscreen with windows 10? I've bought 2 types and neither of them worked correctly. My goal is to have my main display and multiple auxiliary displays. One of them I wanted to be a 10.1" (or 8") touchscreen that I could use with ikarus for the f-18 UFC (once it is released). So I use the touch screen to navigate the UFC vs. my mouse on my primary display. Any recommendations? I tried this and it did not work correctly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L77NF0Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For anyone planning a cockpit build and waiting for dimensions of the throttle base I have them from Virpil support: Total length (including the base with screw holes): 278mm Length of base (not including the screw holes, so the main structure): 244mm Width:170mm base height: 56mm

Logitech claims they have improved the quality, there has been a rep here posting about it. What I will say is that I had Saitek products for years without any issues. They did, near the end of their lifespan, start to go though (4-5 years). What I'll say is it comes down to how often you use it. If you're using it everyday for hours and hours your lifespan is going to diminish (the Saitek version any how). I owned the following Saitek HOTAS, most of these turned into hand-me-downs with the exception of the X-52. X-45 X-52 X-52pro X-65F

MustangSally, do you have a reference to this?

Raven - based on the way your question is worded it leads me to believe you may not fully understand what you're asking and why. That sounds abrasive, but I do not mean it to be - I want to help. Typically people have a Solid State Drive (SSD) as their "C" Drive (you name name it whatever what windows installs). This is a faster and more dependable storage device and allows windows to boot faster, etc. (Summarizing here). This drive is typically smaller IE: 100-500GB; usually 250GB. Then people have a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) for storage and software. Typically 1TB,2.5TB,5+TB each. OR they may have multiple HDD for storage, a particularly demanding game on another SSD (seperate from the Operating system). Or a couple of games on that SSD. The reason for this is because HDDs are super cheap and SSDs are far more expensive (but getting more reasonable). Additionally, it keeps your system files and install clean from clutter and use. You could just go for a large HDD and have everything on it, but that's sooo 2008. I usually recommend the following, but if you're game/software heavy I'd suggest more storage: 1x SSD at 250 GB for Windows 1x HDD at 2.5TB for storage and software Hopefully this helps ya... and if you already know all this then my apologies.

To each their own. I have had zero issues with any of my TM Products.
