Works out at about AU$1750 ... and that's before GST and import duty, so that would bring it up just over $2K. Crazy money ...

US$1100 for just the base? I'd love one, but at that price I am happy with my decision to go with the stick and throttle from winwing for $800

Are there any updates coming/planned? I have $1300 sitting here that I was planning to use to order a set, but I would really like to see at least a detailed throttle video and preferably a 3rd party review before submitting that sort of cash.

Paypal gives you 6 months to make a claim and get your cash back ... still not sure if it is worth the risk. I reallly want one, but I reallly want to know how good they are first.

My train of thought: "Commit $1500 now and hope it is as good as it looks, or wait until someone actually gets one and it costs me an extra $200".

Glad you got it sorted, I was going to pitch in last night with a "have you read the manual?" but thought that was a bit rude. However, for anyone else having trouble getting dcs-bios working there is an incredibly easy to follow set of instructions on the main dcs-bios page here https://github.com/dcs-bios/dcs-bios/blob/master/Scripts/DCS-BIOS/doc/userguide.adoc Step 1.3 and 1.4 specifically mention putting the scripts in your savegame folder.

This sounds like we might have the option to just use them as HID devices, rather than having to rely on intermediate software. Is that right? I hope it is ...

I came to the same conclusion after playing around on the weekend. No way you'd get a good refresh rate. Better off just using an LCD with HDMI input and running helios. That way you could get all the analog/standby gauges on one (correctly sized) panel.

And on the 3rd or 4th reading I can read that as "when it's gone it's gone", but ... The fact that they took the items remaining count went away after the question about stock and the general tone of the "we can meet supply" response tended to imply that there was no limit on the pre-orders. Would really like some confirmation on WINWING on whether there will be more pre-order stock?

Can we have some more info (a video would be awesome) on how all the controls/buttons are seen by DCS? Are they all defined as HID buttons, so that we can just directly map them in DCS, or do we need extra software to do the mapping?
