  1. Be warned, when a woman says knock yourself out, or do whatever you want, it's code for do it and die or suffer years of mental abuse and no nookie.
  2. Wags for president, of the world :), and again it must be a difficult time for DCS with the tragic loss of such an influential character and friend. Condolences. Its all good here over at the Huey hangars. We can wait, no problemo.
  3. That video is insane and awesome in the same breath hehe.
  4. +10000 gabillion I would rather have something stable than a release that screws up my instal. That happens then I really go loco! Can do without games crashing and that type of nonsense so imho they can take all the time they need really to deliver a stable package. I will wait patiently, whilst doing some home stress relief acupuncture, I have to use drawing pins as I dont have those fancy needles but all's good.
  5. Yeah, you can create markpoints and then switch the CDU to markpoint to cycle through them as you would cycle waypoints, with your TGP slaved to it so it will look at whichever markpoint you are cylcing at the time. Look at this thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=101662
  6. When the world slips you a Jeffrey, stroke the furry wall.
  7. You just wanna turkey shoot Yankees in your Russian machine of death hehehehe  JUst wait till the US fast mover arrives, you will be running for cover hahaha :joystick: :) I can already imagine epic missions. How many times you fly an A-10 mission and have to 'waste' good ordnance on a few remaining soft skin vehicles or infantry, call in the air Cav!!!!!
  8. Yeah agree on both counts there. Wont try fight a Mig29 in a A-10, Huey vs Apache or Shark is rather insane. Been thinking about how we can integrate the Huey into A-10 missions for MP for a while. If the A-10's take out the hardcore air to air threats the Huey can do some pretty nifty mop up ops. A-10 leave from a base further away from the IP with Huey gunships deploying from a Farp. timing is everything. We will see. As for the beer, sipping on some Ilse of Jura for good measure
  9. Its been a week already that the Huey page was 'officially linked' on the DCS page in the products section. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/huey/ Some time ago it was hidden and some sneeky Russians found it and posted it on the forums, hehe but it was incomplete and work in progress then, months ago. Recently updated and linked now, the pre release manual was released for comment by the community as well, so things are moving ahead nicely. Now as ED and EB say its testing and getting rid of as many bugs as possible. Patience, not easy but hey, its coming!
  10. Nice man, enjoy! This is my poison
  11. Fair bloody comment, we are so consumed with this heli we forget our manners. :music_whistling: What you driving round there Falcon?
  12. Lol, nah, working fine here,,,, drat :D
  13. Ahh we share similar traits. If anyone is living a drought area, just invite me there with my car. I will wash it and it will rain within 24hours, be sure:smilewink:
  14. Everyone is well chilled mate. A bit anxious, going crazy bordering on total phsyco, strokes and heart failures included, but still quite chilled. :D
  15. Condolences to family and friends, R.I.P
  16. I doth protest!!!!
  17. Hmm, Now where are my screwdrivers  Interesting that thx. Without having looked at the guts of my Warthog myself, it might be a plan to insert ever so slightly more resistant springs in to replace those 4 small ones to provide the desired pushback. Certainly worth a look.
  18. I have had a Dodgytech stick or 2 in the past but maybe I had bad ones cause they just gave probs, so lets not go there. After that I have used; X45 (loved that controller, the rudder rocker was awesome, at least I thought so) X52 X52Pro TM Cougar (horrible on stock gimbels and springs) TM Cougar U2NXT with Hals (ridiculously good) TM Warthog The Hog is stiffer, to be honest the noticeable extra bit of force required to move it off the center point irritates me a bit. Other than that its precise and a marvelous hotas. I only moved away from the Modded Cougar because of the A-10sim and the Warthog marrying up so well, sorta plug and play. The U2Nxt cougar was/is sublime with imho a perfect tension and free movement. The x45 and X52's were also very nice, much less force required to move the stick, and now that I am used to the TM products the Saiteks feel like you are shaking hands with a used sanitary pad, rather sloppy. Not saying that's bad, just not the feel I am now used to. I was crushed when my X45 died. Soldering on wires was breaking and switches/knobs were so worn they barely functioned. This was after god knows how many hundreds of hours of abuse in IL2 mainly. I loved that hotas, and the rudder rocker for me worked so well. As for stick extensions. whether or not you set heavy curves or use and extension to dampen the effect I expect the result is much the same. Actually the pronounced center point of the Warthog might prove useful with an extension. I wish I could get rid of it though.
  19. Good morning all. I see the hangars are still empty, lets hope we take delivery this week of our shiny new Hueys.
  20. Me too, just because I can, frikkin jet jockeys mucking everything up, HAHA :D
  21. Nice
  22. So I have been following the CPU Core thread for interest and amusement sake. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104441 In response to the questions ED came back with a pretty coherent answer that would satisfy almost everyone however one line intrigued me and got me thinking about the role of pc's moving forward and I am interested in what other people think or believe will happen. Personally I believe the mobile environment and devices will evolve and morph at a rapid rate, it's already happening and more and more people are using these devices at work/home rather than personal desktop computers. At work we have moved from big old pc's to laptops to tablets with centralized servers over the years.Tablets are great but its not easy working full time off them form a desk. Laptops you just dock. At home though we have pc's for numerous reasons, a lot of which can be accomplished on more mobile or portable devices now like tablets. On this forum the main reason we have pc's is mainly gaming I would expect. But what is this going to look like in 10 or 20 years time. Will there still be PC's or will they slowly die? Will consoles (or are they already) cannibalizing the gaming market to such an extent that the PC is under threat? I would like to think they will never die and just evolve in the roles and functions they are used for in the home, centralized control of various things etc. Anyway, I'm just interested as to what other people think the future holds for us.
