Sorry cant change the title, its the joystick, not throttle, MODS please change, thx Hi Guys, any help would really be appreciated. (I will keep this short) Hotas was working perfectly and has done for years. Was flying around, took a break and decided to update some stuff. First thing I ran was the firmware updater for Thrustmaster on the joystick. Its now 'i suppose' bricked' with no firmware. I cant seem to find a way to force it back. My error below. I tried the bootloader method as per thrustmaster site here but it seems dated and not geared for win10 64bit (my op sys) http://ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/thr_eng_00140.pdf Tried my laptop, it only has usb3 ports as well jbtw. Ont thing, in my HID devices the stick is showing, but not in the usb gaming devices section. The stick also shows as thrustmaster, where as the throttle that works perfectly has no thrustmaster description , the stick never used to have a thrustmaster description before. Any help really appreciated. The hardware was working perfectly 5min before i did the firmware thing, :pray:

SkateZilla the new utility version seems to not show PG terrain installed on the beta version. Its there and all good, just for some reason does not register with the update? Im probably doing it wrong

Simply put for those that have multiple instals of DCS For me I had 3 instals at one stage taking up slots Release Openbeta Normandy Also had issues at one point with the game updaters that would and would not run. The utility has been very useful in managing this, dont have to go into cmd line stuff, the utility has it all built in. Now I just have Release and openbeta on seperate drives. Well i just gave up downloading a fresh install. sry. but dcs does itself no favors at all in this area. Sry for new customers. Paint dries faster.

I only got a 3rd of the maps down, torrent started of at a reasonable speed but then dropped to well below 1mb, so it will be a few nights more for me. At least I have 2.5 and can enjoy the wonderful new Caucasus map. It really is brilliant.

Seems the torrent option is back but stuck at preparing torrent. Its pretty late here now so I will try again tomorrow. It wants to pull 40gb (Nor/Nev) my 2.2 is up to date but with that file size I can only do it after midnight. Enjoy EDIT: torrent downloading :pilotfly::thumbup:

Got 2.5 down yesterday, now the nevada and normandy map, no torrent dl coming up, just http at 200KB/s This will take days.

The way I see it Phil is each module is a game in itself, while DCS world is 'free' nothing in life really is. A person can buy a Hornet or A-10 etc and spend years just flying that one module Yeah lots of hype, the proof will be in the pudding. S

Truth!! Likewise I would spend more on one single night out on the town or to a restaurant. Plenty of time to save a few $'s before release as well and benefit from the discount. I would not expect this module to go on any sale for a long time either after release. Our local currency here is 12.5 times weaker than the USD (stronger than it has been in the last while as well) so I nabbed it right away. Can't wait, roll on 2.5 :thumbup:

If you have the nozzles on a Hog slider, for me they were a bit to twitchy. For some fine control to manage it a subtle curve works well. I had the nozzles on the incr/dcrs slider at first but have better results with the split throttle. Using one for nozzle (left) and the other for engine thrust. Haven't gone any further with the harrier than flying around, t/o and lnd though, so dunno if its a practical solution n the long run. Works well now.

When you have some spare time, here is a bit of History on Nvidia GeForce technology and some of the nerfed cards they have been able to offer the gaming public as a result of next to no competition of late. I'm a long time Nvidia user so no beef, just very informative, the 2nd video is particularly interesting when it breaks down the 5xx, 6xx, 7xx, 1xxx series.

Just from my limited exposure/and knowledge from following this thread and the DCS F18C, the substantial fuel load difference alone is a huge +, despite all or any other improvements. :thumbup:
