  1. Another problem is the geometry and placement of the landing gear; but yeah; people attack the program a lot.
  2. The atr is notorious for accidents with icing...
  3. Is it safe to do those tricks around other aircraft using the taxi way?
  4. Cool man! thanks for sharing! I have been trying to get me a ride on a glider like the one you flew but it is too far from my house here in GA; the other thing I can do is a ride on a Boeing Stearman; I have been on a cessna; and it was a blast; best spend $90 dollars of my life!
  5. But the su-30mki and su-35 can. This is an interesting discussion...all we can do is speculate. The raptor seems to be less agile on the z axis for example here look at the rotation rate 6:15 raptor: 4:27 almost the same move; the raptor is slower. But the mki lacks the power and wing area of the raptor, but at the same time it has that lifting body; It also lacks the complexity of surfaces that the raptor has; rudders used for pitch and yaw at the same time; two piece ailerons. It must be a better configurations since sukhoi used almost the same set up for the t-50. (also note the crazy flutter on the vertical tails on the su-30!) There is a video of the f-35 test pilot saying that most of the tvc moves of the flankers are mostly inertia moves and not controlled like for example the raptor, kinda weird to claim that without flying both types of airplanes; he also says that the russians do the cobra at idle for fear of asymmetric thrust from the engines; I don't know about that; since I saw that russian pilots uses the throttles to keep the airplane straight; maybe the raptor does that for the pilot? Now here is the su-35 the move at 2:15 is kinda crazy! also note that the su-35 recovers speed faster than the su-30mk
  6. Integrating Western weapons & systems on Russian aircraft - IAF experience [Aero Indi check this video.
  7. Why people hate the guy so much he has dome some cool stuff; he even has a p-51d
  8. I think that the problem is more about cooperating. Sometimes I go online using the frog to kill the sams; that way our fighters can fight freely, but no body seems to care about keeping my frog clear of f-15s or sus or migs. It sucks to fly for an our to get killed by an several aim-120s of an eagle. So after that naturally I get pissed and grab a su-27 or mig like most of us do; perpetuating the air quake. People need to keep their own roles straight for example: -If there is an awacs; some fighters must escort it and make sure it don't get shoot down. -If there is attack airplanes in the group; they should have escort assigned to them. -Flight pats should be followed by pilots; assign in patrol routes. -More ai aircraft to be protected would be cool; ore something like a virtual airspace; with ground radars - could recognizing missions be implemented? instead of vomiting all the info on the preflight? I'm totally in favor of keeping the sams systems; that way it helps reduce the air quakes by keeping spammers in the lookout of ground treats; and also because it is more realistic. A centric implementation of sams could be cool too; like real sam emplacements. (maybe it was already implemented I'm not sure).
  9. MUST WATCH!!!! Space Shuttle, onboard solid boosters! swift you beat me!
  10. here is the ultimate monster!
  11. I think that the draken is prettier than the viggen; there is one for sale here in the States actually; not very expensive; imagine doing cobras on that baby!
  12. superhornet slowmotion watch from 0:55
  13. yeeeeah why not remove all the missiles from the migs and sus; but improve the 120s then it will be balanced  that would make eagle drivers happy.
  14. old su-35 loaded cobra and sideways cobra
  15. that guy has gentleman parts of steel!
  16. I know it is a mac but I wonder if it is possible: http://www.apple.com/imac/specs.html 2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB 500GB Serial ATA Drive AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512MB GDDR5 Apple Magic Mouse Apple Wireless Keyboard (English) & User's Guide
  17. I'm not pointing the blain to neither side; both made mistakes; the language barrier played a roll; the airplane was close to brazil that is why they wanted to shoot it down before it had the chance to get away like some drug smugglers have done in the past; they were to quick to judge the airplane as a bandit; the CIA operators didn't think that the airplane was a smuggler; why they didn't press harder to try to stop the peruvians? maybe they though that the other side knew what they were doing; and that is the problem I see; they made an wrong assumption. let me give you an example: It is like when you are at you apartment at the middle of the city. You hear a girl crying for help at the street, you take a peek to see what's all that ruckus; you see other people looking from their apartment windows. It is dark and you can't see clearly what is going on; the noises continue; more apartment lights are lit; you think "maybe I should call the police" but you see all those lights on and people looking at the window, that makes you think "maybe somebody already called the police. The police must be on its way." the cries for help stop. Everything returns to normality the lights of the apartment windows go dark again and you feel relieved that it is over. Maybe it was just a prank. In the morning you see police cars all over the streets while you are getting out of your apartment building. An officer ask you if you saw something; you ask him what happened. He replies that a girl got raped and killed last night but they got a call this morning from a worker who saw the body while he was picking trash on the alley. That is a case of wrong assumption. Are you guilty for not calling the police, because you though that somebody would have done it before you? I'll leave you decide for yourself.
  18. I just don't get why an aviation enthusiast would not like this baby! seriously guys.... I almost cried at the end guys... need more? Now my question is... is ED going to try to model the legendary sound of the Merlin? very few sims have approached to the sound of the real deal!
  19. Dude "a real fighter" the Mustang is a freaking legend; what are you talking about? Crap now I really need to start working on getting that new pc!
  20. Hold your horses!!! is this real? DCS p-51d? WOW what I have been missing!
  21. Actually sad; I speak spanish and to me, the peruvian pilots seem trigger happy; They also could not understand the american agents correctly; at one point the american said that the airplane didn't fit the profile; that phase 3 was not necessary but the peruvian pilots understood incorrectly the contrary; then the american agents dropped the ball and said " if you are sure then go ahead"; That video also shows that the CIA agents don't command or dictate what is done; like most people believe in South America; well at least that is the impression that I get from this unfortunate video. Peru's Air Force used to deploy tucanos, dragoflys and su-25s for that type of missions; last thing I heard was that thy were asked not to continue shooting down airplanes.
  22. That is right the mil-8 sounds great! Specially in a low flying pass. The uh-60 is also cool but it has a more modern and electrical feel... lol it is not music what we are talking about.
  23. super hornet close call! http://www.patricksaviation.com/videos/detektif_conan78/5509/
