  1. I've tried to make it very easy to set up (and will continue to refine the process until it's as simple as possible). It's natively programmed for the iPad which results in improved performance, and more elaborate control over how to handle controls. It also means it will never be limited by what TouchIR can or can't do. It doesn't require key bindings since it interfaces directly with DCS.
  2. The MFDs and CDU must be exported this way unfortunately. It's a limitation of DCS that ED apparently doesn't have much interest in doing anything about. The CDU is a bit funky right now because the background is clear, so it's not very usable for people with a single monitor. The UFC doesn't need to be exported.
  3. It definitely works with a single display. You need to expand the gray area to take up the entire screen, then expand the main cockpit to take up the entire screen as well. Then drag the MFDs to where you want them exported. Here's how I would configure it if I were running DCS on my Macbook: Also, do NOT change the resolution in the DCS settings. iControl Server should take care of setting all that stuff for you.
  4. Did you follow the directions on the help site? http://www.bit-shift.com/home/icontrol-dcs/help/display-configuration Also, I believe when the MFDs are exported, you can not run DCS in fullscreen mode, it has to be windowed.
  5. If you're still having problems after you try this, please feel free to email support at the email address linked from the server home page. I will look into if/why it's not setting this automatically as well!
  6. Yes, it works much the same way.

  11. It's just an iPad. If I can ever get my hands on an ASUS transformer, I'll get started on an Android version. MFDs still have to be exported. They are on the far left monitor.
  12. Here's a preview of Version 2, which I've already started working on and includes a combination UFC/MFCD view! Not only that, but I've finally gotten a little time to sit down and learn how to blow stuff up!

  14. I have gotten a combination view with the UFC and both MFDs on a single display working today. It will come with version two, which won't be too far behind the first version when Apple finally approves it! I'll post a new video of it soon!

  16. Sorry guys, having to export the MFDs to the display is just a limitation of the simulator. There's nothing I can do about it. It's possible that there would be some round about methods to get it to work another way, but none of them would be easy to use, and likely would not be as performant. The scripting left over from LOMAC says that the MFDs can be exported to shared memory, however it doesn't work. And ED seems to have no interest in adding support for it. You can read my post about my adventures in trying to get this to work here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69989 If someone can convince them to support the functions in the DCS apps I'll change my stuff to use it in an instant! :) On a side note, I have gotten a combination view with the UFC and both MFDs on a single display working today. It will come with version two, which won't be too far behind the first version when Apple finally approves it!
  17. Submitted to Apple today, now we play the waiting game! Thanks to everyone who helped test. Will update when it's officially released!

  21. In a couple weeks, iControl DCS should be available Find out more about it here. http://www.bit-shift.com/home/icontrol-dcs
  22. Thanks for the appreciation. Fixed a few issues this week, have a few more things to implement that Apple will require, and then it's time to submit it. Hoping to get it submitted within the next week or two!
  23. Another progress update. Finally been able to directly integrate with the lua scripting. Causing a pretty large rewrite of how I was doing a lot of things in the server, but this will make everything much "tighter" with the simulator. Instead of simulating key presses, we'll be switching to sending direct commands to the simulator for button/lever/etc values. This will allow for knobs and multi-value switches in the future. This may push the release toward the end of May because it's going to require a fair amount of testing, but I think the delay will be well worth the wait. And just to string you Android boys along even more - the mother in law has provided me with a quite generous sum of disposable income for my 30th birthday and the ASUS Transformer is looking mighty tempting!!
