Is this recent? Were you getting higher rates before? One thing that I've noticed is that disabling the aero glass themes and switching back to a standard theme in Windows 7 can have a huge impact on framerates. For me, switching means jumping from ~12FPS in combo mode to ~25 and ~30FPS in zoomed to ~60. I will be adding an option to automatically disable aero when you launch the server and re-enable it when you close it.

Yeah, that should probably work. Basically you'll just have to make sure the two are merged correctly. Keep the copy of your current display config. Set up the display with the CDU using the server tool. Update the scripts. Then merge the CDU export config into your original config and rename it to replace the one with the CDU config. Or merge the MFD exports into the one with the CDU... whichever. :) Check out http://winmerge.org/ You can select both files and see the differences between the two, should make merging them a lot easier.

There's not a simple way to do this using the server display configuration utility directly. However, what you could do is, configure your display with the utility, leaving the MFDs NOT exported. Update the scripts, then manually edit your monitor configuration file to export the MFDs in the positions you want them. If you do it that way, the server software will not export them to the iPad, you'll see them on the screen, and the buttons should work just fine. Hope that helps!

boarder2 replied to Ghost_unit13's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It is. You can check out iControl DCS which shares many of the same features as this, and also includes switches and dials that are synced with the sim. Links are in my sig. I'll leave it up to you to decide which is right for you :) -

iControl DCS v2 is available!
boarder2 replied to boarder2's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
iControl DCS hasn't been certified with the 1.09 patch, but make sure you reinstall the scripts via the tools menu after applying the patch and it will probably work. Let me know if it doesn't. -

Switches and dials probably won't sync with the sim. I'm not sure if button presses will work either. If they do, awesome! At least you can use that :) -
iControl DCS v2 is available!
boarder2 replied to boarder2's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
From what I understand, there are possibly multiple issues here. The server has to allow data export to the scripts, as well as there may be a possible issue with some functions being called in multiplayer sessions. Make sure the server you're using has data exporting enabled would be my first suggestion. -

You will have to find the file manually and restore the original version. iControl DCS should make copies of all files it replaces, so you should just have to restore the oldest file in that directory. It should be in scripts/aircraft/a-10/CDU/device or something like that. I don't have access to my sim computer at the moment so I can't check for sure. Though, unchecking the CDU and then updating the scripts with the application should disable it as well. -

Yes, there is a server update. You should be able to use the update checking in the server application to see what's changed. -

The CDU is exported as transparent. If anyone knows of a way to change that in the lua, I'll update it immediately. It works well if you have a second monitor, or use the virtual monitor like some people have had luck with. Those both have black backgrounds. Radio/Wingman coms aren't in V2. I may look into it in future updates. -

Yeah, I've done the same. I was going to add an option to the display setup for it to handle that, but it didn't make it in for this release. I can make changes to the server software whenever I want, so I'll probably add this in the next few weeks. -
iControl DCS 2.0 has just been made available on the App Store. If you're one of the 200+ people who have already indulged, I thank you for your support and hope you love the updates! I've gotten nothing but positive feedback and lots of great suggestions from everyone so far! If you're not one of them, what are you waiting for?! :smilewink: Information and links are available in the links in my sig, support is available through the email address on the website. Please rate on the app store and spread the word! Enjoy, and happy flying! :pilotfly:

Ipad pit/icontrol/....
boarder2 replied to hog_driver111th's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
iControl DCS does have a full CDU. You will have to export it to a separate location on the screen, or a second monitor. Some people have had success on exporting it to a virtual monitor. There's a ton more information and videos linked at the site in my sig. Version 2 is coming very soon, as soon as its released, the price will increase. So grab it soon if you want it cheaper! -
This is all correct. The stuck key issue should be fixed with V2. Disabling aero can have a profound effect on MFCD framerate. Also make sure your wireless network is on a clear channel with no interference from nearby networks, cordless telephones, etc. When streaming MFCDs quickly, the application will pump out data at over 8Mbps, on b wireless you'll never hit that rate, on G, you'll need a strong signal. Keep an eye out for V2. It should be here any day!

I've got a few ideas floating around on how to adapt this to the iPhone/iPod Touches, but that won't come until after I port to Android. -

Still looking good. Just a few things to clean up on the UI and I think we'll be about good to go! I think (hope) everyone will really like the new changes. -
Shortly after I release iControl DCS V2 for iPad I will be evaluating porting to Android. Unfortunately, I won't be targeting 2.2, it'll be 3.0 or higher if I decide to port. I don't have any Android 2.x devices, and really, I don't see them picking up enough traction now that Honeycomb tablets are out and so much better than 2.x
