Certainly true, I think for a very big part, sounds make the experience. As I said I'm working on a new sound mod. After figuring out how the Lockon sound system works I also found out how primative this system is. Next to that, the sound system is also full of bugs! :cry: Anyway, I will get the best out of it. After all, it will only be a little improvement over Archer sounds (he already did pretty much everything possible).

Just thought of another way to do it which may give a nice result. That is adding this sound to the "PlaneDistortion.ogg". You will hear this sound when the Gear/Flaps/Airbrakes are out and when you make hard turns, fly slow or do a cobra. So, you will hear it on landings and slow flyby's. I will test this and when the results are satisfying in most circumstances, I will add it to the sound pack i'm working on. Negative part again, not all aircraft make this sound (as far as i know only the F16/F15) and there is only one PlaneDistortion sound in lockon.

It is possible to mix that sound to the beginning of the so called "PlaneAfterburner" ogg file though it will give some problems. - The engine sounds in lockon are sound files which loop. So the "whistle" will come back every +/- 10 seconds (keeping the afterburner engaged). - What you could do is make the sound file longer (lets say 1 or 2 minutes). In that way you kind of reduce the chance of hearing the whistle sound too often, though it will increase the sound file size, and lower FPS performance. - Other than this, there is only one afterburner sound in lockon, with other words, every aircraft will have this whistle sound when engaging the afterburner. You could choose to add the sound to the F15BackEngine.ogg, though then again, you will hear the sound every +/- seconds, without responding to engine power changes.

Most likely, every helicopter can loop or do a barrel roll. I've never seen a hind doing a loop, but i'm pretty sure it can.

Pressing Ctrl + R (refuel) for a couple of seconds will also do the job.

That would be very welcome if you ask me! There are not many (if at all) virtual aerobatic teams with the Ka-50, but most likely there will be in the near future. The issues I see though is that the smoke must have advanced development (other than what you have in LockOn) since you have the downwash from the rotors. Next to that, smoke on a chopper will bring heavy FPS hits on most systems. But anyway, would be awesome to have that in the next patch :)

Maybe not helpful for you now, but for next time, always make a copy of your Ka50 folder! What you also could have done instead of reinstalling, ask someone else for the original graphics lua ;) Good luck!

If you are lucky though, you will reduce the vertical spead a bit shortly before touchdown, due to the ground effect ;)

Ga easy on her! You can not jerk a helicopter around like you can fly one of the jets in Lockon :P Sometimes it is best to make no movements at all and let the aircraft/heli fly themselves. My motto: The helicopter flies its self, you only need to lead her the way ;)
