cannot reproduce and missing track file ILS not working
Alejo68 replied to Alejo68's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Thank you all for the advice and help. I will check as soon as I can run the simulation again. Alejo -
Hi all. As the title says, I just cannot make the ILS get to work in a TCN ILS/LOC app in NTTR map (this happened with Nellis and McCarran airports) I have In DED SEQ TCN in T/R, BCN correct (LSV), TCN channel works fine (12X for Nellis AFB, also I get the audio signal from the audio panel) ILS is showing ON, have CMD STRG indication, frequency is correct (109,1 for Nellis), and approach course correctly set (209) In HSD PLS/TCN is set, and DME shows below 20 nm distance. Problem is in ADI I get both red flags in the flight director and ILS just wont work. Am I forgetting to connect something or is this a bug? I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks in advance, Alejo

It happened once to me yesterday, Dec 23rd, for the first time. Will keep testing. Edit Dec 24: In my subsequent flight, in The Channel map after a few minutes after take off, the sight disappeared. I attach the log file, you may find something as you surely know where to look at. My graphic card is an Asus Nvidia GForce GTX1070 Ti, microprocessor Intel I7 8700k not OC, 32 Gb RAM, 500gb Kingston SSD. dcs.log

Hi, I just purchased "The Channel" map after trying it yesterday. Do I have to erase that installation and reinstall? I read that somewhere but I just cant find it to confirm. Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas!

Why is the Spitfire so terrible?
Alejo68 replied to Cunning_Fox's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Thank you Cats for taking the time, that info is really appreciated. -
I know that at my age people get melancholic, so I apologize in advance. I want to start by saying a very sincere thank you. Since I was a child, I loved everything related to combat aviation. In my particular case, I started flying at the age of 19 in the Argentine Air Force in 1988, on a B45 Mentor trainer. Over time I was lucky enough to fly in several others and be a fighter pilot flying IA58 Pucará and Mirage V Finger (previously under the name Mirage V Dagger). A couple of decades later (with even one ejection under my belt!) I left the Air Force and flew Airbus A320 and Boeing B767 on Airline, reaching 8000 flight hours. Unfortunately all good things have an end, and that was this year. Due to COVID19 I lost my job because the company I was flying in (LAN) left my country. Adding other personal reasons I was forced then to leave this exciting profession and retire. The truth is that I always loved combat simulation and it is for that reason that in the different PCs that I had, your wonderful software was installed on my disks. No doubt that in all this time it was a great pleasure to enjoy different modules, since the A10 to the F18C (now in the Supercarrier) and the F14A to name a few. The Spitfire IX recently and hopefully the De Havilland Mosquito soon!! Going back to the beginning, I want to thank you for allowing all of us, fans of combat flight simulation, to enjoy it in what I think is the closest way that exists to reality. Because I have no doubt what you have given us is just this, without any parallel and in a way never seen before, to truly experience the operation of a weapons system. A few days ago I saw the video ¨2021 and Beyond¨, and I heard you saying thanks, so I thought I had to tell you. That is wrong. In my opinion, we should be grateful, because otherwise if not for you, we could not experience the pleasure that only a simulation of the quality that DCS has given us, could be achieved. I wish you a superb and wonderful Christmas, enjoy a deserved very good time with your loved ones, and sincerely, THANK YOU !!

Why is the Spitfire so terrible?
Alejo68 replied to Cunning_Fox's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Amazing thread (Beyond a few non very polite exchanges :D). I'm just starting to fly the spitfire, which is a plane I truly like, and here I have learnt more than most readings I did allowed me so far. It was very enlightening to read on your experiences, the good and the bad. I didnt see any comment on the use of the supercharger, so I guess living it in auto Will not make too much of a difference ... -
Failed to get authorization data. Error code is: 500
Alejo68 replied to Alejo68's topic in Payment and Activation
Thanks BIGNEWY, its working fine now. -
Hi I get this message after the latest update: "Failed to get authorization data. Error code is: 500 No saved authorization found" After that I bind the keys of my addons but I get the "error 500" again. After an indications of all the modules I will not be able to use in multiplayer, the sim goes Black Screen. I attach the dcs.log file. I tried offline, entering my user and pass to no avail. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks dcs.log

Hi, and sorry for the duplicate post (thought I was doing it under F-14 forum). Im about to purchase the steam F-14. But I would like to be sure before doing it that I can later transfer it to a DCS stand alone installation. So, is it possible to purchase the Steam version of the F-14 Tomcat and use it in the standalone DCS version? Thank you for any clue on this.

Hi, I would like to gift to a friend of mine (who is still undecided to go into DCS) my Mig21 (beautifull aircraft, but don't have enough time). Is this possible to be done? Thanks!

Thank you all for the recommendations. I guess Ill go for Raven One, as the author (Kevin Miller) was an A7 and F18 pilot and Squadron Leader. By the reviews his writing feels like it is a mix of belivable fiction and his personal experiences aboard aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf. Thx again.

Have the sim, now I need a good F/A-18 kindle book for those moments. I've been searching in the kindle store, and there are a few fiction books like "Raven One" and "Declared Hostile", or others based on real historical facts like the first gulf war or the "Operation Iraki Freedom". I remember when I read "The Sixth Battle" by Barrett Tillman and it literally blew my mind, sadly it is not in digital format. It was the best technothriller I've ever read. I would really appreciate if you have any one to recommmend (much better if a technothriller). Ty

Hi. I already purchased the F18. I would like to purchase another copy and make it a gift to a friend, but I get the message that I already bought the license. Would it be itpossible to make another purchase and make it a gift? Or may be gift the one I have and purchase another one for me? Thanks Alejandro.

Hi, here the situation. Right now I`m not having too much space in my PC Disk, (I have a Kingston SSD of 450 gb space). Ive got DCS 1.5 installed (being the Spit, Dora, 109 and M2000 the main addons I really like to fly, online or offline). Now, I undersatand that Normandy map requires DCS 2.0 which I still dont have installed, and that this would require a separate install. If I make the decition to switch to DCS 2.0, I would have to uninstall 1.5 and have 2.0 along with Nevada, Normandy + Assets, and the addons I already named. I would really appreciate your advice and if this would be a good decition (switching to 2.0 and erasing 1.5) specially considering online play and general play and performance matters. My spces are: Intel I7 4790K, Ge force 970, 16 gb (kingston 1333mhz) ram, MoBo Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H. Thx in advance.

Air combat will be fantastic in such a beautiful map... But the tanker inside of me looks at those Panthers, Tigers, Fireflies and PzIVH´s and can´t but have goosebumps. This sim will escalate to epic proportions. ED :worthy:

Two men to pull it out of a dive? Sorry, you are very (but very very) missinformed. Unless I flew another type of Pucara.
