  1. wouldn't that be more sutable in a tread about 1.2.4, and not 1.2.3?? and why is this a sticky?? since it's titeled
  2. the advantage on having more cores, is that all the other stuff that runs, can be pushed on them, instead of having to share on the ones dsc:w uses ;)
  3. for a different teathre, i'd like to see africa, including Madagaskar, and a good 200 nm of sea on the sides, for carrier ops and so on.
  4. another thing you need to do ( if you haven't allready ), is to ARM the ap ( left most of the laste switches )
  5. Hmmm, the 'tud', that's a man's jet ;) :music_whistling:
  6. hmmm, i soulved this easily, using helios, and an 8" usb toutchscreen for the cdu, that way i got all functions ready to go, no bindings ;)
  7. Noraf

264,63 euro, used on an 8" touchscreen to use as an cdu ( works like a charm btw ), and 50us$ on the game. Thats it ;) the rest of my monster is built to arma : combined ops spec
  8. buddy lasing would be another situation, even to mark a target during daylight ops, the laser can be used, the other parti(es) just need to have the lss set to the same freq as you're lasing with to get the target. ( usefull if there are datalink trouble for one ;) ) Manual lasing can also be uisefull in tricky situations, were you need more controll over the bomb, or in rushed situations, were setting up a profile takes to long (though, thats best done during the preflight checks )
  9. ahh, ty, got it working ;)
  10. i suddenly got some strange trouble here... I'm trying to get the cdu screen displayed on an 8" touchscreen, but i can't get it there. It only shows up in the top left corner, and small as...... in size. But when i set it up, i used emc, and it shows it in the right place, and the lua config seems to be ok aswell? though it's probably not.... :helpsmilie: running 1.1.0.9, total screen res : 3720*1050 lua file : Any help would be greatly acsepted:joystick:
  11. try attaching a track here, easier that way to tell what, if anything, is wrong
  12. but then you just have tested that it works with time copression, not in 1:1 ...... :P
  13. I also had greate help setting up my fristh multimonitor setup from the firsth post here, ty!. But, afther seing some of the other setups here, i ended up with an 8" lilliput usb powered touchscreen, and problems..... Getting the desctop expanded to all 3 screens, np. Getting the touch part working on the 8", np. Sending the cdu screen to the 8", well, works, sort of... Getting a working cdu out of the 8", no dice I'm currently using a 22" as the primary screen, and a 19" for the 2 mfcd's (nice having them that big btw ), and was hoping to get a usable cdu on the 8"touch screen. The config file / profile have been changed to fit the new total resolution. with easy monitor configuration, i have no problems ghetting the cdu screen displayed. with helios, i get the cdu displayed, but that then hides the cdu screen. and the keys doesn't work right (some have no reaction, and others give wrong keypress ) 8" is calibrathed with a 25 point calibration love some help with this ( and if it can work without helios \ ht, it would be so mutch better )
  14. a couple of nights ago, i was set up to be the afac, and thus was carying a center fuel tank. smart me figured i'd use that one first, so i started upp the apu, and then the engines, with only the center fueltank (ext) booster pump on. Everything works like a charm, til i'm positioned on the runway, and starts to spool up the engines....... the one fulepump doesn't have it in her to deliver to both engines @ takeof trust..! and that ment i havd to abort the takeof, with no engines running, and just minimal electrics ;)
  15. You got the apu running, and the fuelpumps online?
  16. what you could try is using the eta on waypoints, to set that to the same time? though, both the awacs and the tanker, i'd guess would have an orbit waypoint? If so, i'd sugest giving the fighters an orbit waypoint too, but at a higher altitude, and a bit away from the tanker \ awacs, so it'll be a cap waiting for tasking
  17. i, by no means, ment to imply that i'm fully trained, and have nothing new to learn afther a week.... Afther all, the day you don't learn anything new, you're either dead, or in a coma.... ;) That being said, a week should be anough time, if you can invest a days works each day during that week, to master the "basic needs" ( ie, working the systems, and getting bombs, missiles and rockets on target. ) Ofcourse, not everyone can spend that amount of time every day on it ( and neither can i anymore :P ) , and not everyone lears at the same speed. And not everyone have the same interest to learn ( some will probably never leave game mode, and some will never enter it volantary ). When it comes to emergency procedures, i still have a few problems, and i'd guess in around 50% of those cases i end up without an aircraft to land at the base with..... Though, that might be birdstrikes, sam strikes, aaa fire, or flying to low, and tearing of a part of a wing when turning to close to the ground \ buildings :p Usualy though, if i just lose one engine, i'd probably get home safe, loosing parts of a wing makes it more interesting. (how mutch have you lost, and gotten home ?) ohh, well, back to topic i guess : Most important thing , i'd say, is being patient, and don't forget the manual
  18. well, the op didn't ask for how long it tok to master the whole sim 100% ;) Thats why i said a week. In a week, i managed to do the basic flying, attack runs, using sencors, and taking out targets with about every weapond awailible. (still do have some misshaps when using the gbu-38 ) I do think mastering it 100% will take a lot of time, like years.... But mastering the systems anough to be a real treath to ground units, didn't take that long. (ecm is important to learn aswell btw) It have probably helped alot that mutch time have been spent in mp, with help from others on systems aswell. (to bad the logbook don't log flight time and the rest from mp aswell, since acording to it, i got about 30 mins of flight time :P ) So, i think a few of you have been thinking a bit to large when reading (and maybe while replaying ) to this tread. Have a nice weekend, and fly safe! regards
  19. about a week, including reading the complete manual....
  20. if you have civilian traffic turned on, you get cars, lorries, busses and trains moving @ op : can't help you, but let us know if you find out by other means than this tread plz
  21. I got a strange thing happening, this sims version of the bermuda thriangle? I got a mission i'm working on ( not half way there yet, but still...), and when testing the mission in mp yesterdey, we came over a strange thing. We were 3 ppl on, and when taxiing to runway, and passing the same spot, we got a left engine mailfunction. All 3 of us....., at the same spot.... Same happened afther a mission restart. Anyone got any idea what's going on? :helpsmilie: Nopryl Light CAS.miz
  22. printed update : check laminated : nope, using this one instead. first page contains startup, last one shutdown procedures. and got airdomes data, emergency prosedures and the like in it, aswell, as the most used one, this one ;) ty
  23. i'd rather buy a printet manual for it, even if it would cost tha same as the game itself.....
  24. hadn't gotten to that yet, ty. Got some more reading to do i see ;)
