Greetings, Just finish another RCAF helicpter skin to my collection, this time my first AI, file is uploaded but waiting for it to be active, stay tuned. :) I've done all i could from what we get with Low-Res and detailed AI skin. File is JSGME ready and make sure to use it with or make sure to copy the content of the SCRIPT folder in the appropriate location in your game folder, if not, CH-47D won't be avilable in Canada arsenal in the Mission editor as it is not part of it in default DCS list.

For those of you that downloaded my RCAF Gazelle skin V2, I just did a small update to the pilots skin, it only contains the DDS for the pilots themselves, so only need to overwrite the one already in my package uploaded before. Package includes Digital (CadPat) fictionnal skin and the new Flat Green and Flat Tan as the real pilots wear and brown gloves. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1957277/

Will send you in PV a link to download my PSD Files i've managed out for the pilots, all the DDS used for the pilots, lots of part spreaded over different DDS, like legs, upper suite, handss, feets, straps, jacket and so on, you can choose the one you want.

Thanks for posting, it was an easy test to make and never thought of it, will try in 1.5 if it's the same problem i get, but chances are, since the start i had an odd feeling it was the problem. :) EDIT: Here's my video, from what i discovered, the problem occurs when passing more or less the half way up the mountains/hill. Good to know, thanks. I'll check this out, normal targets, i don't mind playing around with altitude with auto-collective off, but when there is SAM's or AAA around, i get nervous lol specialy with IR SAM around, having no clue on being locked, leaving cover of mountains scares me :) -

One thing though, i might have found, but not sure, my patience is getting to a point these days due to personnal stuff, so my test in DCS uses a lots my left over patience. :) But from what i maight have found, when i'm in flat terrain, i have no problem, but when targets are in mountains, i get this, a few missions made it, and in the video i linked, the guy also is with a taget on mountains, as if, the laser passes through or ignore mountain and lase too far? Might try diff stuff with and without mountain -

Thanks, haven't found this, but my concern is, not eveyone is having this issue, a feelow i fly with never get this problem, by the time i end up getting a shot cue, he alreayd had time to clean 3 targets lol -

So, no one is experiencing this problem? We are the only 2 person from everyone having the module? :( This thing is really getting to me, because i'm having a hard time to do my mission, i've created some SAM Hunting mission, but i keep failing because i fight most of my time trying to get a shoot cue or even a lasing option to slave to my target, so i ened up wasting my time and getting shot down trying to fight this odd behavior :( -
Greetings guys, Dunno if it's a bug or pilot error, well here's my problem. Description: Once in a while, i get no lasing, range, meaning no shooting queue, and i get the RED light « Mauvais/Bad », and when this happens, well auto-slave is not working, even though i am in range and inside G003 and D003 and respect the parameters to get a shoot queue or lasing, Master arm is on, fireing button cover up, switch is on and at Jour/DAY. Ali is set to PIL, IR Power Knob set to M, Weapon selected. If i slew way up or down (depends of times it deos it) i get the shoot cue, so i need to drop or gain alt so be able to get cue or lase on target. Sometimes i need to expose my self way too much to the target so i get it, ie, hovering at 500 FT, which doesn't make any sens for stealth attack :) DCS Version: 1.5.3.53279 Steam: No Map: Caucus SP/MP: MP mission made, but load it as single Screenshot/Video available: This is a video on Youtube, this guys is having the problem i'm having, but he is in 2.0/Nevada. As you can see, is solution is, slewing down until he gets a shoot queue and lasing, then simply slew back up to the target to lase the missile. [ame] [/ame] Any idea? Thanks

As long as i'm concerned, i haven'T done anything with the #9 as for the #4, i simply selected one from another liveries that came default with the Gazelle, one with light and plain color and recolor the parts needed, when not sure what need to be painted or not, i simple used the Tiger Meet skin, since it's orange, it's easy to spot in each texture what needs or not, and when i opened the #9, it was all same color as the other skin. That's how i bypassed the fact that having no tempalte at all when i started working on my skin. so basicly texture #9 i simply take always the same, simply rename it from a skin to another without any changes.

Greetings guys, A fellow Vof mine encounter a weird problem, i might not call it bug so far, but i was woundering if any of you ever got this, or have anyway to test the fuel gauge, he keeps having is fuel gauge showing empty, even though after a refuel, only way he gets to now how many fuel he has left, is by looking in the small windows which shows the % left and the payload left, same windows as we get when we refuel and rearm. Thanks.

The answer is simple, well for me, since i work with Photoshop everyday as a Graphic Artist/Computer Graphic Designer. I'll try to explain is as simple as i can. :) Your having the same problem as i do, the Template as been made in a more recent version as you do probably, wich means, when you open the file, it might ask you if you want to flatten the image to keep layers as is, or keep the layers and some changes might occurs, which in other words means « Hey, this has been done in a more recent version, and i do encounter some changes/differences in effets / filters / layers effetcs that doesn't probably exists in the older version you're using, so, dude, you can keep the layers, but some effets might ended up with unexpected effet/result, so i might discard these effects so you can open the file, but, if i flatten the file, you loose layers, but keep the design as expected, what you wanna do? » :) long texte, but explains it in a kinda funny way. In other words, you have the layers, but they don't show, if you look in the layers group, you'll find them, they are 2 layer groups, you can see them in one of my screenshots, but to make any modifications, you need to unlock the layers in the group, by selection the group in the layers (the folder) and click the little black padlock, see my other screenshot, and if you look on the upper layers palets, you have the so called, « Layer Blending Modes » if you change it from « Pass Through » and select « Normal », as you can see in my screenshot, they all appear, but all white. Which means, they had been used with a certain effect and something which we cannot kept as we open the files, and, personnaly, i didn't have the time or patience to find some way to adjust the effect in other way, but the prob might be a different effect on a different layer that affects those, and with the ammounts of layers, the tests can take quite a while, and i personnaly was kinda scared that some other stuff also have changed but i didn't noticed at first. So i simply played it safe and used another done skin from the default gazelle, so i get the rivets and stuff, and i simple painted over the colots, and played around with the layer blending mode and put them either multiply or simple made a layer adjustement color as HSB, which can be use to colorise stuff and made colors i wanted, camo pattern and stuff. Sorry for long answer, but it kinda explain the problem you have, and why, on my side, i get the rivets and stuff, for the others, they might have a more recent Photoshop as i do, that's the options i see, as to why you loose them. Hope it helps. I am for now, unemployed, which means i don't have access to a more recent Photoshop verison to try to downsample in some way thes files, maybe there is a way to in more recent Photoshop, but usualy, Photoshop is the only softwares from Adobe than doesn't have the option to downgrade verison as the others do, you get the option for compability as saving the files, but let's cross fingers, on monday i have the second part of a job interview, i passed the first one, and made it from 8 person down to 3 for the second part, if i get the job, it's a big Advertising Agency, i for sure will get the most recent version, and you bet i will find i way to make those files available with all effects, and if i do, with Polychop permission i will make those templates available in the file sections as Older Photoshop version users. :) Until then, if you don't get a usable file version from someone else, send me a provate message and i'll be more than happy and try to help you in a way to bypass these problems as i did.

I just did a test for the flightsuite, i'm trying to make one with digital camo as our soldiers have, but i'm lossing details as i pt the texture over in the DDS, but i went in the bump DDS file, and took the RED channel as shadow and the green chanel as highlight, and but them over the texture, it adds a bit more details, let me know what you think, on right side, texture over normal and left side, with shadow and highlights added. and the result it makes.

Thanks alot! Did work, now i am trying with the hand and vest, will see if it works, and how did you edit the flightsuit/body to get rid of the camos but keeping all the stiches? EDIT: So far all worked, found out a Hex Editor for Notepad++ and Home Fries tricks to open the model in Hex does help :)) If anyone wants to use the strings to change all what is linked to the pilots, feel free, just take out the « SA342_Canada_RCAF_ » at the beginning of all file names and you get the exact file names found in the default Gazelle skins. Here's some screenshots of the final so far, will be uploading a V2 on the file sections including the pilots skin.

Sad, i only have Photoshop CS 5.5, and there is an effect done in the PSD, possibly done by a more recent version and when i open the file, it ask to either keep layers or flatten, the prob seems to come mainly from the rivets layers, maybe a layer effet or something, because when i open and keep layers, rivets doesn't appears and i would need to adjust each layers to make them appear and i don't know what layers blending you guys used. :( So i made my fictionnal Skin starting from Israeli AF and photo touch-up eveything to chance colors and add RCAF markings. EDIT: Can anyone please write down the exact string to add in the description file for the pilots change (legs, body, helmet etc...)

Greetings guys, I'm doing realy well with the Huey, but my main problem is slip control. When i think i'm flying straight, ball on slip indicator is centered and slip line is also centered, i get surprise when i take a peek in F-2 view and i see that i'm flying with the tail sliping. Guess i don't get how to use slip indicator. When turning, same thing, i turn with ball centered, but i get surprise in F-2 view that i doing a drift turn... I need help :) once i figure this out, my flying the Huey will be awesome :)
