I don't mind the Glass, not any different then flying a fixed wings with the HUD in sight, but what i was looking for is a way to turn off the gun sight reticle when not in combat, besides turning off one of the circut switch, is there any on/off switch for the sight? I was not able to find one, even when master arm is off, it stays on?
  2. Just bought a few days ago this awesome module, i wasn't sure at first if i would like it, but turns out i love it, the Huey at the Mi-8 are now my 2 favorites modules. I just learn it gradualy, first was learning the Start-up, and only doing this until i can start it eyes closed, armaments will come later, so now, it's hovering thus heavy beast practice, what's best doing it while sling loading. But my only deception with the module, is the Cargo View, i personaly don't like it, first because it has an odd feeling looking in this view with the perspective, it doesn't feel natural, and the field of view and the fact you need to switch normal view, you can't look forward normaly without the persective, in real life when you look up front, you get no more perspective... So i personaly think, the cargo view, could be a second small window like the Huey, keeping the window view perspective effet i don't mind, but having the window overlap like the Huey would allow me to look from the window perspective view, but also a straight normal view, like in real life, look from the window a few seconds and straight front if disoriented, instead of changing view by clicking buttons... since we don'T have the feeling of the helicopter as we would in real life, if you feel it sinking you adjust collective, you feel it moving forward you know where your stick is and adjust, etc... So having it in small overlaping window would allow us to have a better FOV with the normal one...
  3. Just try 2 things, one try with your normal setup, and then try again without enemies close by and see if they head for centerzone/smoke

Hi, I'm trying to recover the ejected F-15 Pilot and it's parachute and add them to the static objet list in the ME for some SAR missions, all working, however, i don't know where i can adjust the fact that the pilot appear half into the ground, cannot think of where to adjust so it appears directly on the floor... any ideas?
  5. Dont< know which DCS you<re using, but If running in DCS 1.5.5 and enemy infantries are close by, they have a strange behaviour vs 2.0.4, they kinda stop and stay back and never reach center of Trigger zone.

Never mind, i found a workaround, i simply copied my customed DDS with my livery i want and changed DDS file names for the defaut DDS used with the default Huey livery, so it loads mine instead of the default one from which i don't even know which LUA refer to. So now finaly all DCS default livery loading are my favorite one. :)
  9. Ok guys, i'm having a little puzzle here... I made a mods which allow me when i get on public server to replace all Huey liveries to my fav one, so i took all the folders in the livery folder, place all the same info in each description.lua's.. but here's the thing, i cannot put my hand on the Olive Drab liverie, it appears in the ME drop down menu, but no folder in the livery folder.. so when i get on a server with customed skin, well i get the olive drab one, and i'Ve been looking all over the place, and the odd thing is, i remember seing the Olive Drab folder a while ago in the livery, but cannot where it says to load Default DDS for the Olive Drab, either in 1.5.5, 1.5.5 Beta or 2.0.4 Alpha... (scratching my head) :doh:

Yep it is for all helicopter (the ones with sling loads options) but ingame would be an awesome feature, so fi for exemple, i join a public server, and all Huey have default 52 fts rope lenght, but it isn't necessary a so longline for the mission i want to do (all clear zones of obstacles or trees), i can change it to a shorter one in game on a oublic server.
  12. A slidder to the Rearm/Refuel window in game for the helicopters sling rope lenght to allow us ingame if we deice to do short or long line operations :)

What would be great if possible, would be the option to select in the rearm/refuel window the lenght of the rope instead of just the ME, so we can decide when ever in game we won't a short or long line, i don't know, maybe a center line station or simply a slider, maybe seing with ED for a slidder adding below the Chaffs and flares, and not being able to use it if a fixed wing is used or a non sling load capable helicopter is selected, as us with the Huey the Chaffs slidder is useless....

  15. I feel your pain, but.... Thats what i call adding contents, ED add contents, you add stuff you risk some troubles, you get a sim like FSX that stopped adding contents 10 years ago, you get no risk of broken stuff. Remember that 1.5.5 added some major stuff (clickable radio menu, so lots of stuff using mouse or radio menu might be affected, guess that's what might had affecting the disapearing mouse cursor etc..), so i guess it's part of the game. we always have the choice to update or not, to go in for new contents or stay with older contents. And remember that DCS is not like a one person shooter that you go the way they want and do one stuff, DCS has ME, triggers and scripts people can create, lots of dynamic stuff, no way they can test all the possibilities before releasing a patch, because believe me, if they would test all possible stuff that had to be done, including third partys develloppers stuff, people like you and me creating scripts etc..., we would wait 1 year between each updates instead of 1-2 per week and that would add another 10 years to 2.5 to come out :) Give the guys the credits for all they achieve with the small amount of people they have in the team, i personaly raise my hat and thumbs up to them. I rather get some bug, but fly in a sim that gets new supports and content, but, that's my opinion. Cheers
  16. SnowPack added on first post and screenshots, includes A-10c, UH-1H, SA342L, SA342M, SA342Mistral and CH-47d RCAF Fictionnal Snow Camos. And i'Ve updated the Infantry skins, both NTTR and 1.5 version, i desaturated the green CADPATs.

I never liked the Hexagonal lens flare effect and never turned it on, but today i decided i should try to find if there was a mod for it, i found this thread and decided to give a try and create one... so here's what mine look like, if you rather keep the star like sun effect, simply keep the 2 « lensGhost » DDS. Since its bugged, anyway i can only run as a do script trigger instead of a do script file, only and only the troop transport part (spawning auto-generate troops or load name defined troops), so, no crate spawns, no sling load, no smoke stuff, no JTACT, only pure transport stuff? Or is there a script with only that option

    Oh, found a few post about the Mistral, some about not having the rights to use it but never found that one you linked, thanks, will give a try, because the other versions i'Ve found from the Mistral, didn't allowed more than one spawn on deck, will try this one finished version, we never know. :)
  22. Nicely done, but possible to actualy get the spawning point on the deck and not in the hangar? Also, possible to get 4 ship to spawn on deck? Player Spawn that is. :)

  24. Greetings, is there a way to create different FARPS for RED and BLUE coalitions? I tried all i could but doesn't seem to find the proper LUAs to edit. The thing is, i'Ve made a customed texture for FARPS, but we get the same texture for both colaitions and wanted to use a different texture for the RED side FARPS.? Thanks
