THANK YOU! Now it is doable! Average now after your tweaks! AWESOME!

2 years with no positiv outlook and on top of that a stop in sales? That does not sound promising at all. It sounds like: "He's dead, Jim!"
-
Is there still a chance this will be implemented? I see no such (dynamic) thing in 2025.
-
That actually remains to be seen. If no one maintains the modules with upcoming DCS World versions, the may deteriorate to a point when they will not work at all any more. I expect this to happen sooner or later.

After some more extensive testing I came back to MSAA 4x. I havedecent frames on my system (i7 9700K, 64Gb RAM, RTX 3090, Valve Index) with MSAA and no ghosting. More fps is always better, but I can spot and see targets further away when on MSAA and also close I see aircraft easier. For the time being, I have given up on DLSS.

Bomb Mode Wing Sweep works better for me as well. Also - depending on tanker speed - I find it useful to have half speedbrake. Throttle is a bit more responsive and you are more in the mid range of your throttle axis, instead of the lower end. An internetsearch (I never flew a real Tomcat) concluded, that the speed brake thing is also sometimes used by real pilots...

Yes and no. The video says, you don't see bandits if you are above or at co altitude. It might explain, why you could not lock a target.

Maybe you want to look at this video from Spudknocker: He's showing radar capabilites at higher, lower and coaltitude. I found it very informative.

How stuipid, I am sorry to hear about your bad experience! About your question: To get into (virtual) flying I'd also recommend the MSFS (Microsoft Flight Simulator). The beginner planes are the ones you would learn to fly in a flight school as well. In MSFS 2020 they even had a Cessna 150 with all the very old flight instruments just like one I learned flying on a very long time ago. I'd also say it is pretty accurate to what it felt like and this would be more an experience of actually "learning to fly". There is "vatsim" and different addons/communities that teach you virtual flying and communications and even have controllers at airports. Lots of things like it is in real life.

Was flying Preset "J" last night and it was ok. Did some dogfighting (but only 1v1 AI plane and two tankers somewhere in the background). It was all right. I guess for primary dogfighting, I would still consider MSAA, while for BVR and/or ground targets I guess DLSS is all right. World War II planes might have a hard time with DLSS, since you are constantly "dogfighting"...

Oversteer / Over G - I think I got a problem here...

Yeah - I know. Since the last patch it seems to work again... I believe there was a DCS bug with it. At last on my PC. -
DLSS may have quite some ghosting. Still... If your computer can afford it, MSAA is superior.

I did a test with my system: VR Valve Index - 150% (DCS '1' pixel density) | nVidia GTX 3090 | Intel i7-9700K | 64GB RAM Put in the two lines in the autoexec.cfg (DLSS_Preset = "K" and HUD_MFD_after_DLSS = true) Was flying F14. And I have to say MSAA 4x is still quite superior. Had still lots of ghosting with DLSS.
-
Well, besides from all settings, how do you find DLSS spotting compared to MSAA in the current version? I didn't come by to test yet, but I found spotting with standard DLSS settings in native DCS terrible in the last version. Is it now close or equal to MSAA?

You actually can restart the part after "LOADING NEXT TASK". You sit through the intro and when the next part is loaded (12b) and you sit in our aircraft, press LSHIFT+R and the mission restarts from 12b. Heatblur just posted something, that this still is on their agenda and they are actively looking into that.
