I'm using the Semi version and it looks great! Main roads and country roads work good and look good. No FPS hit at all. Vehicles show better against the next texture. Of course, there's no potholes, etc, but hey, I can live without that added detail.

This could be a great mission planning tool when implemented by TS3 users and admins. Name: TeamSpeak 3 Client Doodle Whiteboard Plugin Platform: All Platforms Description: Doodle is a whiteboard-plugin for TeamSpeak 3. Features: - Paint with other users on your TeamSpeak 3 Server - UI integration in the TeamSpeak 3 Client (Tools menu) - Choose between 7 painting tools and 5 filters - Filetransfer support for loading images - Use images as background - Save your work - Windows and Linux support Teamspeak Addon's Page - Doodle http://addons.teamspeak.com/directory/plugins/miscellaneous/Doodle-Whiteboard.html Teamspeak Forum Article http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=59285 Planet Teamspeak Link http://www.planetteamspeak.com/component/option,com_docman/task,doc_details/Itemid,69/gid,107/ Images can be loaded to the background...as in "maps" like this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=55011, then TS3/Doodle participants can use the drawing tools to outline mission plans prior to execution. Identify FEBA's, draw flight plans, identify Bulleye's, mark possible troop locations and air defenses, etc, etc....... Plans can be saved and printed. There is some potential here for sure!

Yep, these were all originally done by Red Dog for LOMAC: http://users.skynet.be/F4Checklists/LomacDownload.htm Red Dog is a master at creating these charts but, he is fairly particular about his products being used without mentioning they came from him. We had permission to use them in Touchbuddy Profiles for LOMAC. Someone should approach him about an updated set for DCSW.

How you employ the weapons platform is always going to depend on the threat environment. I'm sayiing nothing new here. If your threat exists below 5-10k and you have air superority (ala OIF/OAF), then the A-10C is the perfect platform - cheap, affordable, effective. If your threat exists above 5-10k and you do not have air superority (ala ODS), then the A-10C may not be the perfect platform - maybe you want an F-16CJ. The threat is going to dictate how you arm and deploy the weapons platform. Its something that mission planners/builders need to consider for sure. If they build the mission with minimal to no fast movers and the threat is only low, then hang the GBU's and go high; if there are a lot of fast movers, hang the mav's and go low.

Grimes has a point, and I asked about some help in this area in the Wishlist awhile back: Being able to link in a couple of pictures to a mission briefing is fine, but it presumes that someone else has already done the mission planning and you're just supposed to follow along. Rigid and not flexible - especially for multiplayer servers running missions based on goal accomplishment before they recycle. The problem is that there is no "multi-player 'cooperative' mission planning capability". I think we can 'get by' without the integrated VoIP (we've been doing that for quite awhile now), but, if we could just have the capability to embed even one external http(s) link in the mission briefing, then I think we, as a community, can take it from there and develop a cooperative mission planner using any one of the available web-based whiteboard applications that can be run off the same/other squad servers as the hosted game. We can make it happen, we just need a 'gateway' in the mission briefing/debriefing text areas that will allow us to integrate the features we need.

These are great Tomcatz. Any chance you might consider re-issuing your "Hangar Mod" or maybe an integrated "Hangar-Parkbox Mod" for FC2? I don't think we are ever going to 'see' Grandsurf's Mod......

I have 6gigs of memory....will A-10 actually use it?
Oscar replied to Lixma 06's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Have you thought about using a RAMDisk? Maybe something like this: http://memory.dataram.com/products-and-services/software/ramdisk -
Sorry, guess I didn't get my meaning across very well. What I was suggesting was a multiplayer option to force, or not force, the full engine startup sequence in multiplayer. If hosting and you want the session to be full-on, then set the force option for full-sim like squad nights, if you're hosting and goofing around and don't care, then turn it off and allow the auto-start. Stand-alone play wouldn't matter and wouldn't need the option. Just an idea....probalby needs more coffee....

Small as it might be, I have noticed that the Landing Gear Indicator Lights may not be right. In every picture and video I've seen of this panel thus far, the indicator lights appear to read: NSAFE - NSAFE - NSAFE. However, all the documentation (DCS, USAF, etc) indicates the lights should read: LSAFE - NSAFE - RSAFE. Don't have the Beta....but this needs to be verified and reported if true for correction. Thanks.....
