When I first installed the Ground Crew mod and ran the demo mission, I noticed the crew were all OD Green - no texture. I came back here and got the SoldierUSA.bmp you recommended as the fix and put it in the texture folder. When I replay the mission, only the lower portion of the ground crew arms are textured. However, when I look at the Encyclopedia for these items, I see a completely textured crew member. Problem? Solution?

Love the new gound objects - loader and weapons cart! Are you going to do APU's and auxiliary lighting carts as well?

Thanks Birdy - I didn't know you'd put out a campaign covering this event. Got a copy and will check it out.

Staying true to the original theater map is important and I understand it completely - but - no reasonably "realistic" east/west flashpoint campaign/scenario can be accomplished without a "Merzifon" type airbase of some type - IMHO. None of the Russian/CIS states depicted have a NATO relationship. If you're going to have NATO OpFor campaigns, then leaving all these flights as "airstarts" is just not a plausible option. It needs to be included. Whether that's as part of a version 1 mod or as a separate separate version 2 doesn't matter.

Don't you mean the H-43 Huskie? http://usafhpa.org/h43pics/hh43pics.htm -
AH! Thanks Eddie! That last was the piece I was looking for.

File value(s) please...........

Please make sure the README file includes mod dependancies, i.e. "Requires GPT, Teka's Tree mod, Shaders", etc......; or optimum setup. We don't want to screw this up.

Hear Hear on Teka's #4. This would an extremely welcome capability and long over due. There just has to be a way to acomplish this.......... -
Zaelu, I'll take one copy please - full scale. Just point me to the download!

Just give us a standalone version of the in-cockpit BS mission planner that was shown in the demo with all the features shown (zoomable/scrollable map, object waypoint planning, threat zones, etc) and the ability to write a mission file directly into LockOn from that program, or, give us the capability to access the map and mission planner externally from an XML or Java based frontend. Thats the ticket.

The start of a revolution for LOMAC??

Please, please, please save the trees! If your going to do a job, at least use the right tools to do this kind of compare like WinMerge or some other file comparison utility. -
Number of aircraft in a "flight"
Oscar replied to Air-Force-1's topic in User Created Missions General
My best advise would be for you to download and view the two tutorials Ironhand put in this post: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=15869 He shows exactly what you are talking about in the first video. -

Alfa and VMFA-Blaze, Yes, using the website noted by dodger42, here are two perfect examples: Auxillary Power Unit - http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M08727.asp Tug - http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M08721.asp Or any of these ground support units - http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_index.asp?txtKeyword=airbase Or, how about an update to the HAS model - http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M09432.asp And, Ships! ( 2/3s of our theater map is the Black Sea) - http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M02654.asp http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M07691.asp http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M09680.asp http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M10264.asp http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M10021.asp http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M09682.asp Cargo Containers (great targets hidding weapons shipments) - http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M07690.asp http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M04504.asp How about a few factories - http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M10083.asp http://www.3d02-ao.com/html_3d_Model/3d_model_main_3M10105.asp You get the idea. One thing I'm really dying for is some proper light towers for the parking aprons that actually light up the ground so that in night missions its not pitch black out there all by myself - thats just not right - looks too sterile. -

I know everyone's passion go get to work on aircraft, but I take it from Chizh that the real effort here should be static objects - right? Ok, how about: - auxillary power units - auxillary lighting units - aircraft maintenance vans - a grouping of aircraft maintenance personnel working on an invisible aircraft so it can be placed around a static on the pad - more port facility structures - better container ships and tankers - better shipping containers - fishing vessels - commercial and private - proper, modern fire trucks - a whole plethora of unmodeled military vehicles - infrastructures like power lines and above ground water tanks - oil pipelines and facilities (we have the derricks) The sky is the limit - the community can add a whole new level of depth and detail - something that will be needed if helo operations are going to become an attractive alternative to fast movers. -
Birdy, finally got around to checking out your mission. In MP, I spawn under the wing of a C-130 and am unable to move. In SP, I spawn in the middle of 2 F-16's and an M-113 drives up my butt. I tried editing the mission to move the statics, but they aren't there; or at least, I was unable to make them appear, either as a flight group or as a hidden object. I checked my other missions using the mod (v1.1) and those planes aren't there. Can you help?

Something about contributions by an unshaven Oleg Maddox there ... my russian is not that good.?.

Just had a visual in my mind flying the Eagle. Descending thru a 4K overcast in the rain, looking out the port side and seeing the wing bouncing up and down in the turbulance ........ Spooky!

Rotor Vid - The waving motion of the blades from hub to tip is unbelieveable! Fluid would be a better description. How many players are going to recoginize and appreciate the time spent on these extremely acurate details in a mission? Cross-wind takeoffs/landings are going to be a biatch!! Vulcan Vid - Much improved graphics and sounds - realistic round spread.
