The U3011 arrived today. What an amazing monitor! My 285 GTX actually runs FC2 and both DCS modules pretty decently at 2560x1600. My 580 gtx arrives tommorrow so I can't wait to try it. Everything isn't perfect though, the monitor came with one stuck pixel. It is stuck on green when yello and black when red. Contemplating whether it's worth exchanging as I can't even notice it during gameplay. Now, back to doing some cannon runs on my new monitor! :)

I have a 285 GTX actually and going to 580 GTX. Slammin, you have me psyched about my new monitor and gpu :) I was wondering about whether I would need SLI but thanks for letting me know! That's great news as it would have been another 500 bucks for SLI. I can't wait for my U3011!

I'm thinking of going to a 30" monitor and so that means the native resolution is 2560 x 1600. I currently have a gtx 285 and I'm sure that will be a bottleneck to run at this resolution. I am eyeing the GTX 580. Will GTX 580 be able to handle 2560 x 1600 resolution in A10C? What else do I need to consider going to 30" from a 24" monitor? Thanks.

StrongHarm, You probably know the frustration since you've been through this :) Your link definately seems to have the info I'm looking for but the procedure just doesn't work for me. I think the part I may not be understanding is step 5. It seems to imply not to press the numpad# keys at that point. If that's the case, how do I "set my 6DOF view preference" without using numpad keys? 1. Hit Ctrl-KP0(Ins) to activate cockpit snapviews. 2. Hit the KP# of choice to be programmed (this obviously will not be your final view, but will serve as your reference to confirm success). 3. Hit Ctrl-KP0(Ins) to get out of snapviews - I have a suspicion that this also preps the button by resetting/clearing any previous view setting. Seems redundant, but skipping these first 3 steps produced unwanted results similar to your previous description. 4. Hit the KP# you want to program (again). 5. Set your 6DOF view preference, including your zoom level, height and vertical position in cockpit. (Very important not to attempt to freeze your view by hitting any other KP# at this point. However, you can use default keys KP/ and * to zoom in and out). 6. Hit Alt-KP0(Ins) to initiate program. 7. Immediately, while also trying to hold your head still, hit the same KP# you hit in step 4 to confirm program and finalize. 8. Test for success by hitting Ctrl-KP0(Ins)/KP#.

I've followed some directions on other posts for saving custom snap views but I am having no success. Is there a way to define custom snap views in BS? What I am trying to do is define a custom snap view that will have the shkval only zoomed and centered on my screen. I know LWIN+NUMPAD2 exists but that is shkval+abris. I just want the shkval. Shepski, Can you please elaborate on what you mean by "make the snap view (KP0+KP2)"? When I press those keys, I get the shkval+abris view. However, when I release them, it just goes to default cockpit view.

Folks, this isn't working for me. I want to replace the snap view I get for lwin+numpad2 (shval + abris) with just one large view of just the shkval. The above directions seem straighforward but I have no success. What am I doing wrong? thanks.

Confusing but I think I get it. Use the built in Blackshark in Nvidia control panel---->affects A10C Manually add simulator.exe--->affects blackshark and FC2 Correct? Regards.

blackshark has a completely different executable "simulator.exe". FC2 also has "simulator.exe" so blackshark and fc2 affect each other. However, A10C is dcs.exe so it shouldn't be affected by either blackshark or fc2.

It allows me to navigate to the folder and select dcs.exe and I click "open" but it doesn't end up appearing in the program list for me to make custom settings. No error message at all. I add it, and dcs.exe is just not there.

I want to create a custom setting for A10C under the Nvidia Control Panel-->Manage 3D Settings-->Program Settings but for some reason, I cannot add DCS.exe there to do this. Anyone know of a workaround? I am using Win7 64 and I've tried adding dcs.exe from both bin directory and bin/x86 with no avail. Thanks.

- In A10C when I depress padlock cycle (NumDel) it seems to padlock cycling through ground vechicles. - In Blackshark when I depress padlock cycle (NumDel), it seems to padlock the ground at the center of the hud. - In FC2 (SU25T), when I depress padlock cycle (NumDel), it seems to do nothing. All scenarios above are with enemy vehicles in visual view in from of my aircraft. Questions: Why these different behaviors? What is it supposed to do in FC2? Lastly, how do I perform the padlock cycle behavior I see in A10C on BS and FC2? Additional Question: Is there a way to padlock without the padlock flag being displayed? Thanks!

yes it does. I have these keys mapped to two separate buttons on my joystick and when I press it in the control options menu, it jumps to the proper command.....

Ok folks, I've got Padlock enabled in options but when I use Threat Missile Padlock (Ralt+numdel) or All Missile Padlock (Rshift+numdel) after receiving missile launch warning, the padlock doesn't work. What am I missing? Thanks.
