Ok, but my reply was a general one for Avilator. I was merely pointing out that it is possible to roll the plane with rudders only. I didn't know (or cared) whether in your case you had your feet on the ground.
I remember when using Vikhr in the past, I had to manually lase the target before firing. After the latest patch, it seems like the laser automatically turns on when I launch the Vikhr. Is there a way to get the old behavior back where I have to actually manually turn on laser before launching the Vikhr?
Thanks.
Hmmm, then there is a typo bug i guess because the submenus lists numbers, not function keys.
Furthermore, the LWIN Q,D,G,R don't seem to work either.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up.
Is there a place in Mission Editor loadout screen where I can check the weight distribution between left and right wing? It seems to only list the total weight of my loadout but not the distribution of the weight on each wing.
Thanks.
Hello, can someone please help explain this? I think this may only apply to switches on my HOTAS and not buttons that are mapping cockpit switches?
"Synchronize Cockpit Controls with HOTAS Controls at Mission Start. When enabled, this option will set the mapped switches in the cockpit according to their setting on your input devices."
Thanks.
Also it seems that when FF is on, pitch trim doesn't function properly. The aircraft will react top trim but will start nosing down no matter what. The only way to fix it is to turn off FF.
Yep, I went through the training mission and know how the latch button works but I wanted to be able to manually hold the lase button while the bomb was falling.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your knowledge Quirk! A few reps for you :)
Thanks but I don't want to use latch. I want to manually lase by holding down the lase button. I guess I have no choice but to use latch until this is resolved.
I think I found a bug with manual lasing and external views. I notice that when I manually lase (hold down nose wheel button) and then do any external view then return to cockpit view (all the while still holding the lase button), the L is no longer blinking.
Can anyone confirm?
LOL. So not lasing using the nose wheel button was the only step I was missing above. Just killed some tanks. :)
I like to read documentation and follow step by step procedures instead if sitting through the training missions. This is because I can pause the simulation and read, then when I am ready, I unpause and continue and so forth. This is just my preferred style of studying simulations. For example, all I needed to know was how to lase in this case. Don't want to sit through the entire training mission just for that tidbit. I'll go through those training missions in time to learn the simulation more in depth but I am a reader :)
Looks like the quick start guide and the flight manual needs to be updated with this info.
Thanks again gentlemen.
btw - you're talking about the nose wheel button when you say the hotas pinky button, not the pinky switch on hotas right? I'm going to try them now :)
Isn't it lasing the target when the L cue is present on the TGP display? If not, is there a key bind to manually lasing the target?
Also, where exactly is "advance settings page (bottom left of profile, button) "?
Thanks.
I'm following the procedure in the quick start guide but my bomb always overshoots the target and lands somewhere forward of the target. What am I doing wrong?
1) I select GBU-12
2) I select master mode CCRP
3) Select TGP then A/G then make SOI
4) select point targeting (ctrl-u)
5) designate target (ctrl-U held down target is designated)
6) I line up the two lines with the aiming retricle center of line
7) release solutions starts to drop and I hold down my weapon release button
8) release solution passes my aiming retricle and the bomb drops automatically
I do the above and I always overshoot my target several meters.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
