  1. My opinion differs. ROF is probably the most sophisticated and detailed WWI flight simulator ever made. Details to flight model, damage model, atmospheric modeling, audio are unsurpassed by any other simulator. I guess those high views in SIMHQ come from people like me who appreciate such beautiful works.

  3. Folks, it looks like Logitech is close to releasing LGS 5.09. It should be coming in the next couple of weeks. I hear that a firmware update is included. It also looks like once the upgrade is done, you cannot go back to the older versions because of the manipulation it does to the joystick. I'm looking forward to finally being able to fly my Ka-50 again. It's been so long I've forgotten what all the knobs, switches and buttons do.

  6. I can barely remember what the guns looked like in FC1.12 now. But I remember it looked pretty cool. Is there a setting that makes it look exactly like FC1.12?

  11. Seems like what Detroit saw were the sparks caused by the TP rounds hitting hard surface with a lot of kinetic energy. I can imagine how such an impact could cause this illusion on hard surfaces.
  12. If some of the FC2 planes are present in a Blackshark mission, I'm guessing it would be as simple as using the mission editor to make one of those planes a "player" plane and actually fly them. Has anyone tried this?

  14. ehhhh, unfortunately, there seems to be a bug because it still seems to be using blackshark's profile even when there is now an entry for FC2.0. Do they test this stuff before they release it?
  15. You can now have a separate profile for FC2 in TrackIR instead of using Blackshark. Perform "check for game updates" then restart your TrackIR software.

  17. I agree. If someone can figure out how to just change the graphics properties of the projectiles and impact point, that would suffice.
  18. At any rate, every single tracer round bouncing off the soft ground like rubber balls definately isn't right. If indeed some tracer rounds bounce, be it but not a 100% of them. Also, it should definately kick up some dirt regardless of whether they are AP or HE rounds.

  20. Trimming is impossible with FF on. I turn it off in producer.cfg.
  21. Folks, what exactly does changing the percentage of birds do? I'm guessing 0% means no birds. Then 100% means? Above 100% means? Thanks!
  22. Does changing these parameter change the actual properties of the ammo or is it only changing the graphics? The only changes I made are the following and I think it looks great now: model_name = "kinetic_type1", explosive = 0.0750,
  23. Downey, I have a G940 and had the same issue as you. The way I fixed it is by programming my joystick button for "weapon release" directly from the in-game controls menu instead of programming lalt-space in the the Logitech software. Maybe doing something similar will work for you..... Cheers.
