RCsimulations will rip you off. I looked there to buy the addons (FC), but saw they were charging more than what I picked up the original Lockon for. The prices they charge for most things are very high when you look around. I bought directly from the lockon main site and downloaded the package. Saved my an amazing amount of money. Its safe, and you can burn your own copy of the downloaded stuff incase you are worried you will lose it (but I think as long as you keep your account - you can re-download). (From UK also) PS Obviously if you download - this will not rely on the postal service to get your new toy before Christmas. (unlike another extortionate company Edimensional who said they shipped my TIR4 on the 5th December, but on emailing them they have said it was a cockup and I should not expect it until next year - but thats another story)

You have got 4 drives havn't you for your raid 10 setup? Mirrored striped, or striped mirrors, you need four HDDs. Probably teaching you to suck eggs, just checking. And you need to setup the raid before even thinking about installing an OS, you can run into weird problems otherwise. You should have a raid config ability somewhere (Server boards may have it on board, other need a floppy).

He is using a laptop, it has nothing to do with the BIOS/CMOS battery, please don't get people ripping critical system out of the motherboard for no reasons. Check that while playing cables dont come out. I assume you have a "on mains" power light on the laptop. Does this turn off (switch to battery) as soon as you start playing? Its not just a matter if turning hibernation off (like screen saver kicking in), since the battery is being reduced (check in windows that battery is minimal and not just a reporting problem). Try this, and let us know what happens. More information required.

I am hoping for something along the lines of an FAC facility in the game with lasing and voice instructions. Along with helicopters and other ground forces giving you targets (again by CAS communication battle chatter or lasing) Hoping they think about this in the destroyer/tank killer add on. One can only dream.

(I assume you mean the opposite of what you said) I certainly don't think you can sample the population, and then show the worst and use that as a representation. By brushing all the population with the same brush makes us worse than the people shown in that video. Although the stereotype for Americans is that they know nothing outside their own country, and believe America can survive alone, and other countries can't survive without them (as demonstrated in a previous post). So although in some cases this stereotype holds true, it would be just as bad as us to think the whole of the US behave and beleive that.

I also know that currently in development is a single shot active tank defense weapon. Its a box like thing, that hold a fair few thousand rounds - each fired electricly. The unit has a small radar system that can track incoming tank shells. The unit when fixed on a tank will track fired shells. If it detects an incoming shell (i.e. something heading towards the tank). This box will aim at the shell and fire all (I think 200K rounds) in less than 2 seconds at the incoming shell. The thoery is that it shreds the incoming shell. This is a one shot defence weapon and requires to be replaced every use. It was in development about 3 years ago, not heard much since, and I can't find any relevant links for you.

In the next patch, will the sams be able to intercept and destroy dumb bombs as well? I think that they should be able to destroy incoming FABs and Mk82s etc, because they are too effective against SAMS also. And don't even start on the gun pods.

Yup, and a decent clientele as well. (apart from the odd FF incidents, ahem PAK).
