  1. Just looking at "facts" As for Iraq, situation was similar with its air force in both wars, with pilots usually failling to take any evasive action once radar lock occured. Thus it is logical that USAF success rate would be similar, and it was. In Desert Storm, 41 USAF aerial victories were achieved with anywhere between 5 and 16 kills made at beyond visual range. 2 kills were made with guns, 10 with IR missiles and 24 with radar-guided missiles. 88 AIM-7 shots were made, giving a Pk of 0,27. Out of 24 AIM-7 kills, at least 9 were from visual range. For F-15Cs, 12 AIM-9 launches resulted in 8 kills (Pk 67%), and 67 AIM-7 launches resulted in 23 kills (Pk 34%). It should be noted that F-16s made 36 AIM-9 launches, of which at least 20 were accidental due to poor control stick ergonomy, and made 0 kills. US Navy F-14s and F-18s fired 21 AIM-7s for one kill (Pk 4,8%), and 38 AIM-9s for two kills (Pk 5,3%). As it can be seen, Pk for missiles fired by multirole F-16s and F-18s (0% and 5%) was far lower than that of missiles fired by singlerole F-15s (67% WVRAAM and 34% BVRAAM), suggesting that pilot training is the primary factor in missile performance. Relative Pk of IR WVRAAM and RF BVRAAM fired by air superiority aircraft stayed same as in Vietnam, with IR WVRAAM Pk twice that of RF BVRAAM. DCS AIM-7 is over powered the sames AIM120... less than 45% PK in reality for the 120.. against non maneuverable planes with no RWR or ECM and FYI one was a UH-60... Actual data against planes with RWR /ECM & Chaff: "A more recent Operation Southern Watch engagement occurred on January 5th, 1999 when two Iraqi MiG-25s violating the southern “no-fly” zone illuminated two F- 15Cs with their BVR radar.xxiv The F-15s responded by firing three AIM-7 Sparrows and one AIM-120 AMRAAM. All missiles missed. Subsequently, two Navy F-14s fired two AIM-54 Phoenix missiles at the two MiG-25s. Despite the Phoenix being the most expensive—and supposedly most capable—air-to-air radar-guided missile ever made, both missed. The violating MiG-25s escaped to fight another day."
  2. Thanks a LOT!
  3. I can confirm that not all of the M-IIIE had RWR. For example the M-IIIEA did not have RWR .
  4. Ivan if you read correctly on other of your post, you said you were a MIII driver. Question where is integrated the RWR in the E version? because I'm looking all the images of the cockpits of the mirage and I'm not able to find anything that resembles a RWR. Is integrated in the radar scope with "lights"?
  5. FYI not all the E has RWR
  6. Is the C. If it was the E the cabin will start at air intake due the extra electronics installed behind the seat.
  7. If it helps the guy was from Morocco, spamming at around 23:00 EST time.
  8. I'm in love. My true French lady! French defa kills for everyone! MaVA & Red I will have to switch and leave the t-Rex for the M3
  9. Agree, I'm not asking for equality... FYI there are not many tanks on Blue flag...
  10. Well.. A10A I don't is much to ask if you are asking the same to get the a25a... Now if you are going think on the community then my post has not point as is trying to get an event the closest possible to an era with what ED give us.
  11. What is the difference ? Let keep thing with a consistence... A10A SU25A
  12. The C is is Y2K era. I would not.. because has systems that were not present. If you add the C then it will be fair for RED to add the 25T and KA50.
  13. Do we have the good things that we had in round 5? Transport fuel for Helis? CSAR missions? It will be nice to be back on an actual War effort. Things that I will add to make it more than just Frag simu: - limited Stores that needs to be transported by helis. - no AI planes - DATALINK, something that Migs and SU had since on the seventies. - Only 80's missiles. - Better air defenses on bases. - No Alt f11 Camera... - No messages - Kills or take off of any kind. - Blue: A10a, F15, M2000, UH1, Gazelle without HOTs as 3 were in 1998... - Red: Su27, 29, 21, L39, Mi8, Su25A.
  14. I will rise this question, Why not eliminate the AI aircraft and maybe to balance it bump up the AA ground defense? The AI planes at this moment kills / negate the rwr already limited functionality of the Russian hardware.
  15. Lol OldE for your amusement
  16. And started! Red, defend the Blue "join slow" hordes!!!!
  17. If they keep the Mirage in Red they needs to let us know because I will stop being a mercenary on the Blue side! :smilewink:
  18. Hey when are you guys flying these Korean beauties ?
  19. What a Shame...
  20. Awesome feedback from the pilots. I love the module and how it flies. Eagerly waiting for the updates on load outs as I think it could be a really good addition to mp environment.
  21. Looking at the symbology it seems is in PIC and not in PID If it was TWS PID, the contact should a Chevron, and is not in the capture...
  22. What I mean is that you see another echo from another contact that crossed the beam of the radar.
  23. Fixed, thanks.
  24. I have been doing some investigation on the Mirage as I love the plane and is the only one I'm flying right now. Looking at videos I found one that shows some of the radar and HUD, 1- Here you can see how the Radar scope looks, I don't know it what mode is but it seems it says on the that only I can figure it out, (CVI or maybe Police? ): Is interesting to see that the TDC does not show the max and min alt of the radar antena. 2- On this it shows how the HUD looks when you have a target locked in PIC mode. Look at the distance tape on the right is different on what we have, also I think the size of the flight director ring is a lot bigger. that the one that we have. Also look at the ALT and speed are still showed at the top 3- On this part it shows how PIC mode is represented in the scope, also really cool when the antena goes over another contact that is no the one locked but cross the line of the emitting antena you see the eco, don't know if this can be modeled in DCS radar functionality. Is also interesting to see that the TDC on this mode does not show max and min alt at that point and the tracked target show info that I'm not really clear what these are. (20 alt? , 2 Closure rate? ) Also if you look at the eco of the second contact further away it has a value that I thing is the closure rate or vector speed? The other thing I was able to identify is that the scope always show in what mode is on middle top of the radar. Well I hope this helps the devs!. Thanks.
  25. Yes and yes... and you need a reason.. well location can give you a hint.
