  1. the BS 2 full version doesn't need original BS 1 installed first as the upgrade version ?

I'm wondering which version of DCS Black Shark 2.0 i should have bought to play in DCS World :doh: There're 2 versions on E-shop: - DCS Black Shark 2.0 Upgrade 1.2.0 - DCS Black Shark 2.0 v1.2.0 The DCS BS 2.0 v1.2.0 is a full game costs 40 USD while the upgrade version from DCS BS is only a half: 20 USD, which is better ? The "DCS: Black Shark 2" upgrade requires "DCS: Black Shark"! It means DCS BS 2 need the original DCS Black Shark 1.0 installed first or which else ? I don't undestand "requires: DCS Black Shark" is original BS 1.0 or the previous BS 2.0 v1.1.1.1 If i have the original DCS BS 1.0 (free download only/ no purchase, no key), should i get the upgrade version of BS 2.0 v1.2.0 ?

Sorry, i didn't track this DCS sub-forum for a long time, just have a question on Ka-50 rotor blade: I don't understand why Ka-50' lower rotor blade are always incline to the upper right corner and getting closer (able to collide) to the upper rotor blade when increasing airspeed by lifting the collective stick can anyone explain me this ? :smartass:
  6. yesterday night i've defeated the Strela-10M3 low-altitute mobile SAM with Vikhr from distance over 13km by using free-release mode, i'll try with TOR-M1 later It's not easy to determine the shape of 9K35 Strela among other ground vehicles from high altitude
  7. is the new terrain in FC 2/ DCS-BS designed to limit the visible range to make the game more realistic than FC 1 ?
  8. Some of ground forces such as Russian's TOR-M1 mobile SAM system is not listed as a radar target for using anti-radiation missile Kh-58 though this vehicle has tracking & fire radar

As in LOFC 1.12 i can find out enemy ground forces or surface battle ships on the sea at over 50-70km from high altitude, determine the number of ground vehicles and preparing for attack while getting closer In LOFC 2.0 as GGTharos said the visible range over Shkval system is limited How can i attack surface-to-air mobile systems with its firing range from 12-15km ? their defensive ability is better than the range of Su-25T's missiles
  10. Hi, I'm flying FC 2.0 My favourite aircraft is Su-25A/T and i'm now having trouble with ground target specify with Shkval targeting system. I dubiously see enemy ground vehicles at a distance of under 20km over Shkval TV monitor and specify them clearly at under 9.9km, at this range i'm always in enemy' mobile SAM range of fire :cry: Does anyone here know how to increase visible range in LOFC 2.0 ? :doh: / with Teka's Vehicles LOD Mod installed on FC 1.12 i can specify ground forces or battle ships at over 70km from altitude of 5.000m Thanks !
  11. I've Combatace' Su-30M2/ MKI mod installed in LOFC 2.0, now i've trouble in using this aircraft model. Found this plane enabled for player in game options but i don't know how to fly this awesome Su-30 model. After reading Combatace' readme few times i'm still not clear yet Can any one help me plz, thanks :D Example pic:

I know AWACS can determine a target lock is friend or hostile But.....could i ask AWACS for specification exactly the distance from player to jam source (enemy plane location) while i've a lock on an ECM signal ? and AWACS can or cannot guide the semi-active missile launched from my aircraft to enemy target if i turn off the fire control radar after launch ?

  17. A graphical bug in FC 2.0 ? Having a look on wingtip light's halos when moving external camera around the plane, the mission name is "MiG-29 Sensor Practice", you fly in overcast weather condition
  18. Check your "far_clip" value settings, if it's 140.000 i don't think you have fog effect All Medium & High "far_clip" values in FC 1.1 (advanced haze) and DCS-BS is 80.000 Take screenshot plz :D
  19. Thank you all I've 2 "far_clip" values tweaked: all Medium & High "far_clip" lower from 140.000 to 80.000 and fog now appeared, same as Advanced Haze in FC 1.1 Screenies:
  20. Using another software named FRAPS then assign where you want the program to save screenshots You can also assign "Print Scrn" or any other button for taking screenshot
  21. yep, just 2 environment mods: - Sun & Ambient Light Color Adjustment v1.00 for LOMAC - Simmod Terrain Reloaded mod for DCS-BS Thanks, i'll try it then post screenies later ..... i prefer to look hazy ground at high altitude in LOFC 1.1, it seems more realistic sky than FC 2.0 :D
  22. my current PC, playing both FC 1.1 and 2.0 Pentium Dualcore E2160 @ 3.2Ghz Memory 4GB DDR2 ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB GDDR5 3x HDDs = 1.1TB I feel there's no fog
  23. Not greatest Artificial intelligence (AI) in FC 2.0 is much worse than AI in previous version 1.1, wingmen AI included :doh:

One of my friend said that cloud textures/ density in FC 2.0 is much better than previous version of LockOn but ground view from high altitude is ugly, same as Falcon 4, because it has no fog effect in FC 2. The ground looks like Basic Haze in FC 1.1 Depending on the graphics engine of DCS-BS, i think ED forgot to bring the fog effect (advanced haze) back into LOFC 2.0 :huh:
