I thought I read somewhere that this is set at mission creation time? I could be completely wrong but I'm pretty sure it's not a real time read out. (i'm away from my flight computer for 3 months so bare with me :D)
IMHO(and far from an expert) I'm not quite sure why game developers don't use opengl more? That (and i'm sure there's a little more to it) and you can distribute to linux, pc, mac...no?
Isn't there mention of a 'warehouse' somewhere on the forums? I could be completely off topic(was it a mod??) Though I thought it was a feature they were working on for World??
Side note to your side note: You're 100% correct, but also don't forget, even without flares you can manually guide into target, just not autotracking (iirc)

I think there is a gap between the glasses and your face, so you could in theory peer down and see a sliver.....I think i remember seeing something about a rubber "grommet" that you can place under if you did not want the gap. Though, I don't own either so....
What the others have said, but it sounds to me like you're forgetting to turn on the engine governors before take off? Right side wall panel, near "back right".

Are there no other long range sam threats in the area? I get nervous above 150m for more than a few seconds :D
Mop I think you're in line with a good practice (imho). My only input is(mentioned by a few others), if the environment allows for it, stand off platform is the way to go. Use all of your vik's effective range before getting less than 7km on any target/group. Don't forget some tanks have SAM (range around 5km?? I forget).
