Is there a way to make older mappings work on the new versions of DCS?

I couldn't change loadout or communicate in any aircraft. I tried unchecking easy comms, didn't work. So I tried repairing my DCS........and it corrupted it. So now I have to uninstall, download, and reinstall.........Yay :(

As noted above, it isn't working on the ground, so I am unable to start any aircraft requiring ground power or assistance, nor modify loadouts.

Update, I tried rebinding that command to another key, still not working.

My \ key isn't working in any aircraft, single or multiplayer. I checked and it is still bound as comms. Easy comms button is checked. Any ideas why it would suddenly stop working. I would really like to fly the BF-109 and change my loadouts again. I can't say for sure, but this problem may have cropped up after my buying binge today......(109, 190, p51, Huey, CA.........:thumbup:)

When unpausing trackir it snaps right back to the tighter zoom.

Update- tried the above linked method- doesnt work after setup and trackir enabled.

I liked the FOV when it zoomed out before- is there a way to get that working again as opposed to messing with LUAs?

So, update- you know how your view starts a little tight and slowly zooms out when getting into a plane? Mine either starts zooming out and snaps back tight or doesnt zoom out at all.

They are not working for me, which I found weird.......

Hey guys- started up DCS and TrackIr and for some reason I am zoomed in more than I used to be at the default setting/neutral Trackir setting. This is in all aircraft. Any ideas why this might have changed and if there is a way to set it back to the slightly wider FOV?

Sadly none of that was added in edit, it was just what I had playing while I was flying- so I cant strip it out :(

I have seen some lively discussion on the issue of this plane going supersonic. I tried to muscle it around a bit in the dive. It seems to snap back pretty quickly. Here's a little video I made today of a climb to about 52,000' then a dive. Some notes: -0 gun rounds, 40% gas -Thank Spotify for the random but appropriate soundtrack. -Forgive the horrible landing. Do you just crank up the rheostat to light the lamps or are there switches?

Very well done. The F-86 and Mig15 feel and fly so different but complement each other so perfectly. So far no major bugs encountered- just a pleasure to fly and fight.

Upgraded to the x55. Thankfully I got one that doesnt exhibit any of the major hardware problems other people have had. I downloaded a profile for the A-10c from DCS website- all was well for a day and a half and now suddenly when the profile is active I cant use my keyboard in game, none of the hotas commands work, and any time I start a mission DCS asks me to reactivate every module. I reinstalled the drivers and software, still the issue persists. Nothing changed at all since it was working- it just randomly started this behavior. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know how to completely remove all Saitek software, drivers, and registry stuff from Win 8.1? Thanks. Was really enjoying the A-10c again, but now I'm pretty much screwed again. Please avoid the "get a warthog" solution posts.

Hey guys, after startup, throttle up when I lift off I only get about 5 feet off the ground and a hydraulic warning- I flipped the switch on the back right console- am I missing another?

What AOA should I be aiming for on approach?

Wow, that's pretty much impossible to my knowledge- touchdown speed is about 190kts......pretty sure the Mig-21 would be doing its best lawn dart impression (or possibly falling mattress) at 100kts. EDIT: Ok, looked at the article- that seems to be a pretty specific set of maneuvers exploiting the stall characteristics of the plane. Would love to try that in game but I don't think I have the chops for the precision!

500kmh is only around 270kts.......which is pretty slow for most fast jets already. Ideal turning speed for an F-15 is up around 350-400 IIRC.

I run AntiMlaware Bytes and Hitman Pro. Seems to be a good combo according to the intertubes.

Saitek gear is bad man. Really, really bad.

I built this about a month ago. I max everything and get 60-90 FPS (60 on the ground, 80-90 in the air). You could save some money on the PSU and the MoBo to get it closer to 1k if you wanted. I am a mac user who works professionally in the film industry- none of my macs could really run DCS stable at 30 fps or more. I have not tried the new trashcan with dual 700's yet- bear in mind thats a 6k machine though. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cLjvsY

How are the rotaries on this stick? Jumpy like the x52 series?
