A few of us from reddit.com/r/hoggit have been bouncing in and out, thanks for the server! Great place to practice. The only complaint is that the weather conditions (low ceiling, gray clouds) make it quite difficult to pick up the migs, especially for those of us flying at higher resolutions. Besides that the spawning is great. Get's a little hectic when the AA starts going off over the field, pretty wild.

EVGA GTX770 4gb VRAM. I mostly get around 60-90fps in the air unless there is a lot of trailing smoke. Maxed everything, 16x AA. It seems like smoke is always what kills things.

With ED's commitment to thing I would think it likely there will be some sort of training field like there is there- painted outline of a deck with arresting gear for practice. A lot safer than driving your Hornet into the back of a carrier and having to cold pit again.

Jesus, this Saitek thing is a mess. When I get into a game I have the controls work for about 5 seconds- then nothing, and I can't even use keyboard commands. Escape moves me out to the desktop and I have to hard close DCS. I guess I can try reinstalling and installing (if I can figure out how. Can't seem to find an uninstaller). Oh, and to top it off, after I close DCS the next time I run it I have to re-authorize my DCS modules. Everything works fine without the x52 plugged in.

Hey gang- my first day with the x52 Pro has been extremely frustrating. If you could help me with a few questions I'd really appreciate it. -Is there any way to utilize the mode dial (3 separate mappings) via the DCS in game mapper? -If not and you build your profile in SST, how do you get DCS to work with that? I tried the right click over the tray icon and load the profile, still nothing in game. Do I need to set something in DCS options? -Any time I try to map a shifted command in SST (pinkie+whatever) I get a .net runtime error and SST either crashes or doesnt allow me to map the command. Any ideas? -How do I remove the clutch button mapping? -Does anyone have any nice F-15 FC3 mappings?

Curious if anyone is running DCS on the new MacPro under bootcamp. The new GPUs are pretty beefy, would like to know if anyone has given it a shot.

Since DCS is heavily CPU dependent.....can it utilize multicores? Would a 6 core sandy bridge be a better choice than a 4 core Ivy Bridge?

Last night on the Iron Angels server there was a user named Phuz who was respawning and taxiing almost immediately. No startup time. He was also taking off on the taxiway- with almost no run up distance. Just a short roll then takeoff (full load). Of course he was also gunning players on the ground and in the air- but not getting the boot for team killing. Is this common? Is it patchable? For any IA members this was going on about 8:45 PM EST

Hey guys, somehow during this mission I lost my ability to get my TGP to slave to the selected waypoint. I tried making the HUD SOI and TMS up long to make the waypoint SPI, then slave (dont know if thats even a valid procedure). So as a steam user- how would you recommend nuking my steam install? How do I keep my user files for the game? I am downloading the full install torrent. Speed is bouncing all around, from 225 up to nearly 1mb/s. Surprised ED doesnt have a seed box set up.
