Sorry but I think there is a great wrong asumption here: we all think that every kind of radar is perfectly modelled in FC, each one with it own real characteristics. But this has proven to not be tru: if you do tests in the sim with each type of radar, you will see that there is almost no difference between them. The only diference between them is the detection ranges. The S-300 sam site has a detection range modelled... and in the sim it will detect anything inside that detection range, regardeless it is a f117 or a A10. Don´t forget that we still have "ubber" radar that can see through the mountains (that hasn´t been corrected yet). In general, we have to remember that we don´t have advanced modelling in the sensors area in the sim.

I don´t know if anybody saw it, but there is a discovery channel presentation where you can perfectly see a f117 realeasing flares

Combat: the FM is pretty good, has somethings to improve of course, but not as many as the weapons systems, sensors, etc used to combat.

The effects option gives you beter smoke, better explosions effects, some dust on the ground when you fly too low, etc. Together with the visibility range option, they are the 2 principal things than can affect your FPS

It is not a question of believe. It is everywhere in internet in every military site, where you can read that the air to sea version, the kh-41 we have in the sim is being exported to chine to be used on their su-27 and su 30 fighters. I have posted links for the information, it is not a "guess"

That is not the information I found: taken from www.thetruthseeker.co.uk: The Sunburn (designation of the kh-41 air to ground version) missile has never seen use in combat but has been extensively field-tested by the Russians. Forget about the SU-33. There are other russian aircrafts that can carry if Im not wrong, the su25/t may be???... so, we still have a bad model. And again, the missile is wroking. If not, why is being exported to chine and other destinys??? Well (taken from the above website): "The air-launched version, officially called ASM-MMS and apparently also Kh-4, is intended specially for Su-27K (Su-33) carrier-based fighter aircraft. It was for the first time shown to the CIS leaders in February 1992 in Machulishche and then to the public in August 1992 at the Moscow Air Show in Zhukovskiy." So, the missile is operational and YES it was prepared and developed to be used in the SU-.33, mock up or not, if it is a mock up, it is just because of practical issues, not because the missile is not operational.

Yes, that would be cool, but the point is the actual model... it almost a joke the way you have to set up the mission to get the launch, so that is why I say it must be fixed.

The point is not if it has been used or not. The missile is developed, as far as everybody knows is "operational", and if it present in the sim, it is time to be modelled in the proper minimun way.

The KH-41 air to sea missile is definitly very "ugly" modelled, it is time we have a decent lock and launch system (ground radar).

You are getting your lock with radar on or you are getting the lock with the EOS system? If you are useing the EOS, you won´t get that data since you are tracking the enemy with infrared systems

I don´t think it will run just because of something very basic: FC(lockon is meant to be installed on Windows, MACOS X is just not windows (not even close). You will just be unable to launch the installer. Another story would be if you tell me that you installed windows on mac hardware.

Autopilot doen´t work for refuelling. You have just to practise. You need to be very confortable with your stick since ytou will need very precise movements to make very small altitud changes to aproach to te refuelling basket and after that while refuelling you still will need to mantening altitud and speed. It is not easy, even for "veterans". Ironhand´s site has a tutorial , look for it and... practise.

Did I asked that? well, the same way like you was happy with the raptor´s cobra, the flanker did that since day 1 ;)
