  1. LOL!
  2. not quite the reaction I was expecting. I was hoping for a "lol" but I guess the MO is to kill humor. I dont notice a hole in the cockpit. I don't see deficiencies really past the lighting issues. I've spent a lot of time feeling at home in what we have. It's by no means perfect, but I dont think the "WT" curse word was appropriate. I like M3 and the Mig 21 is my favorite Module. I'm not trolling. I just rather their time be spent elsewhere. They already have my money. I enjoy my product. It's not up to me in the end, it's up to M3 so i'm not going to complain and demand anything. Besides. If you thought I was a troll, why feed me? QED.
  3. -1 -We Fear Change
  4. The AI somehow managed to taxi on the dirt at Nellis. I was playing the Redflag campaign mission 1 just now when it happened. Track is too big to attach and can be submitted by other means. It's 6.3 mb
  5. I was having trouble getting the AI AV8B to spawn on the Tarrawa from cold so I put it on the Stennis with my hornets. I loaded up and this happened. The question is, Is it supersonic?
  6. I'm excited to flex my F16 on noobs! Super excited! but i'll wait if that bun needs to be in the oven for a little longer.
  7. Cool story bro! glad you're not buying it. I'll buy it and have fun. ED has been more than generous by providing free updates for the last decade. i'd've paid for the new Caucus map given all their hard work making it. They're also drastically updating weather, damage models, AI behavior, creating new missions and models all for free. If they're spending time to devote to a super carrier with animations, textures, models, etc i'm willing to buy.
  8. Quick! Someone shoot down an SU24! We might be able to buy a SU57! https://time.com/5662553/russia-turkey-fighter-jet/
  9. Had a weird bug. Starting up the F14 (Right engine startup while rearming) and went to the F10 map to set a surface target. I put the surface target (Marker) and then the keyboard stopped responding. My keyboard worked for other apps, but even though I clicked off the marker I could never get back to my plane.
  10. For some reason, the F5s in my mission with 2 AIM 9 P5s and two under wing fuel tanks keep shedding their sidewinders when they sheds their tanks after getting shot at. Why are the AI F5s shedding sidewinders? This must be a bug! EDIT: NVM... Captured AIM 9...
  11. And apparently a HARM too? That double delta fin under the left wing looks familiar...
  12. Still banking on that mighty Skyhawk! C-172 Skyhawk that is! :D
  13. That would be a ton of fun! and using DCSs Engine right now would cause a lot of lag! I'm not a programmer, but this would probably take a lot of time to implement. Just from my own missions, I know that spawning a large force out of the blue without priming the ram with the unit models always causes interruptions.
  14. The fins on the back I believe steer the bomb, and spin it up. I believe with the 87 and 103 you can adjust the spin rate. The guidance of the 105 works a lot like the GBU 38 and other GPS guided bombs. The skeets disperse at the input height and just randomly spin and shoot at what they see. This vid kinda talks about how the BLU 108 works. It's like guided randomness.
  15. Time Speed Distance Calc. It's kinda hard to do without a scale tho. I usually use CBU 97s for convoys for this exact reason. It's a little easier to use a 97 because the splash is closer to the release time so the convoy distance isn't far off. also you can lower the burst height of the CBU down to 500 or 300 feet. It'll tighten up the pattern but make it easier because it reduces the time on target of the skeets. other option is to use MK82s and set an interval of 40-80 feet and ripple 6-12 of them. another option is to wound or kill the lead vehicle (Depending on the ROE of the convoy) and sometimes they'll scatter for a few minutes. use that time to set up a drop.
  16. Just an interesting bug I found the other day for the Red Nav light. my wingtip went missing for some... reason.... (don't tell crew chief) and the outer rib was bright red coming in to land. Didn't get a pic of it. Today I had another issue with... (don't tell crew chief) and my right wingtip decided to not come home with me. I got a pic. The wingtip probably shouldn't be glowing because the nav light is missing....
  17. the Lift Vector is literally the vector of lift calculated from integrating the lift field created by the aircraft. Basically assume a line going strait up from the airplane and that is the vector (Direction and magnitude) of the lift (The part of flying that holds you up in the sky). The vector generally stays roughly perpendicular to your wings and nose. The more you pull, the more lift is created and the greater the magnitude of the vector. Because the lift vector is the strongest force on an airplane, Fighters change directions by pointing their "lift vector" in a direction and increasing it's magnitude "pulling" to create an acceleration. Engines can create up to maybe 2 Gs on the lightest airplanes with the biggest engines while the lift vector can create up to 9+ Gs depending on the airplane.
  18. I posted another thread with tracks and youtube vid.
  19. Making a fun camp bombing mission I noticed when I dropped ordinance that I was dropping 2 at a time when I had 1 at a time selected on the UFC. to explore this issue I made a mission with just me and MK82s to figure it out. the results I recorded in track and on video capture. Low and behold I started dropping 2 bombs with one press of the weapon release button when the UFC said multiples of 1... I played around with the interval value and that seemed to have an effect. setting the interval to 500 ft and then the multiple back to 1 I'd be able to drop one bomb at a time... except I couldn't drop a second bomb within 500 feet. setting the distance back down to 1 I was dropping 3 bombs at a time... :joystick: track attached and Youtube Vid linked PS... AWESOME SIM! I'M HAVING SO MUCH FUN KILLING THINGS WITH THE HORNET! Multiple bombs.trk
  20. ugh... I saw that the question was answered 5 posts before me and wanted a "LOL". I wouldn't have if the question wasn't answered yet. Just a little humor, not trying to poke at anybody.
  21. Like this?
  22. I've been playing for a while and have been loving Mk82airs, but with this last patch i've noticed something weird. I usually switch them to the low drag mode and use them as normal 82s for dive bombing while having the availability to "shotgun" a cluster of targets in need be. the issue I'm having is that i'm hosting my own LAN server to play pilot search v1 and loading a custom loadout with Mk82airs. I set them to low drag in the inventory page without changing the selections of fuze types, then go to the profile page and select nose fuzing like normal. when i am over the target i am not getting data for a ccip or ccrp release unless i select n/t in which it treats it as a high drag bomb while not deploying the shoot. so all of my bombs are landing far past where i'm aiming... i went back to the inventory page and tried every combination of fuzes on the nose and the tail and still could not get it to work... but if i create my own mission to test it i have no issue like before. an any ideas?
  23. but I LOVE doing gun runs on Shilkas! :joystick: I feel like high noon with his 4 barrels and my 7 shooter and we both shoot at the same time (about 1.5-1.2 clicks) and the only difference is... I can move!:megalol:
