  1. Have the same issue myself when using two screens. I have 2x580 GTX in SLI. I have never used two screens in DCS, but when I have played EVE, one of my monitors always has this strange tearing that you have. I suspect it's due to different resolutions on the screens. My main monitor is 2560x1440 and secondary is 1920x1200, and I get the tearing on my secondary. Have not been able to get it fixed.
  2. You can't say that ECM pod works as intended if they have no effect on when a SAM lock you up. Just go through ralfi's list. Almost all (except 1) of them showed no change in behavior flying with or without ECM pod. Locked at the same range and launched at the same range. If there is no benefit of fitting one, what's the point?

    What type of UFC

If you have the data and everything else you need, I would go for the new UFC, no doubt.

Looks awesome! Really looking forward to this one :)

  6. The 2011 socket is also new, so he can upgrade the cpu later on if he decides to. If he had gone for the 3770k, he would have had to buy a new motherboard as well, next time he did an upgrade. As the 3770k is the last cpu on the 1155 socket.
  7. Just for info, multi GPU setup works, but only Nvidia. Running a SLI setup just fine, and load is shared equally on them.

    Nice one!
  9. Yes it's good, no doubt :) I don't know how much the waterdetails and the stuff around it affected the performance. But when my 2 x GTX 580's where running @ 100% and my frames where almost 1/2 of what I normally have, the price is to high for me. I'd rather run the sim @ stable 60 FPS w/vsync and high details, high view distance, then choppy 30 FPS and nice looking watereffects.
  10. If it affects performance in a negative way, no thanks.
  11. SLI works, running dual GTX 580 without a problem :)
  12. This looks good :) Was able to apply Kuky's high.lua file. Was able to run at 60 FPS stable. Just for fun I upped the district distance to 40000, FPS @ roughly 50-55 then over Tiblisi. And my GPU's are taxed @ 80-90%, so I guess it's was my CPU that was struggling abit :) Anyway, great work :)
  13. Will test asap :)
  14. Eh, I don't know where you guys get the SLI is not working from, or SLI only gives you 15-30% performance boost in general.... Early days of SLI and Crossfire, yes. It wasn't that good. Now days we are talking average 80-90% performance boost from a SLI or Crossfire setup. But to see those gains you need to think high graphic settings and so on. If the CPU is not capable enough, the cards will be bottlenecked, and you can end up getting only 15-30% boost as mentioned. In DCS though, Crossfire doesn't work, but SLI does. I'm running 2 x GTX 580 in SLI, and both cards get's around 70-80% workload while flying. If I disable SLI, one card will be at 100% most of the time, and I get alot of stutters and inconsistent FPS. Before DCS World 1.2.1, I could run the sim @ high on all settings, max range on trees and so on @ 60FPS without a problem. I also used Kuky's high.lua file as well (Thanks mate). Only problem I had was around certain areas where the CPU would be used 100% and my FPS dropped down to ~40 FPS. But after 1.2.1 version it's not that good, I don't know what happened on ED's side, but both my 580's are taxed at 100% almost constantly.
  15. Already done that, and have MSAA/TSAA off.... Still no joy.
  16. Just saw this thread. I'm getting reduced performance as well. Before it has been my CPU that has been holding back the performance in certain scenarios. But now it's my pair of GTX 580 that are being used 100%. I don't know what you have done in the sim, but for my GTX 580 in SLI to be taxed @ 100% just looking out the cockpit is quite extreme. For info, I have MSAA and TSAA turned off. Before 1.2.1 I used the high lua from Kuky, while I reduced structures to this: structures = {30, 20000}; Made me possible to run a very smooth sim with 60 FPS stable most of the time. Certain areas like Novorossiysk would get me down to about 40 FPS, but this was due to the CPU. Now my 2xGTX 580 are @ 100% for just looking out the window. No TGP or anything else showing. Specs: I7 3820 @ 4,6Ghz 16GB Ram 2xGTX 580 2560x1440 Monitor SSD

I don't know why people keep asking about the backseat over and over and over again. It's been stated numerous times from ED, 3rd party etc, they don't know. As it is now, no one has made a working backseat, and it might complicate things to much for a 3rd party to do the job. If ED or a 3rd part finds a way to do it, I'm sure it will be over the forums. And it's not like it will make or break the sim. For a complicated plane as the F-15E. I will guess you can do everything from both places, complete redundancy. Anything else would be strange. If it can be modeled, I'm sure. Will it be usable? We just have to wait and see.
  18. 2xGTX 580 1,5GB 2560x1440 Runs smooth, but cant use MSAA due to lack of VRAM... FPS drops.
  19. :p Actually hogging along with 60FPS, going down to around 40 in high density areas. Currently using the 1.2.0 file.
  20. Will there be new version for 1.2.1? Cheers
  21. You must spread some reputation around before giving it to Headspace again... Great work, looking forward to it!
  22. I see two spikes on the usage of your Core 1. I guess the first one is when you started DCS World? And the second when you did a refly?
  23. I just used task manager for looking at my CPU load and nvidia inspector for checking my gpu/vram usage. Just a heads up regarding the CPU: You will see one core that will have more load then any other, but this core will never go up to full 100% usage. It will go at about 80-90% max on the task manager, that's perfectly normal. The percentage give you no indication, since it's an average of load on all cores. If your CPU is holding you back, you will notice this by CPU load going up while GPU load going down as your FPS goes to shit. If your GPU/VRAM is fully loaded when the FPS goes to shit, your GPU is holding you back. Could you take a screenshot of your graphical settings?
  24. Would be interesting to see what your CPU and GPU is doing when you get those FPS drops. CPU load going up? GPU load going up? VRAM usage etc. And I find it strange you didn't notice any difference with the change you did regarding the graphic.cfg file.
